The Stuffening

Thanksgiving in the US has the misfortune of being overshadowed by both Halloween and Christmas. Right after the scares and candy come the Christmas decorations, the songs, the sales, we could go on. Given how pervasive Christmas is, no one would blame you if you didn’t know, or forgot*, that American Thanksgiving is in November. Perhaps Lotto Texas and Powerball can help with that.

*To our US readers: Be honest. How many of you have forgotten at least once about Thanksgiving?

Ever since this past weekend, both lotteries have engorged themselves on repeating Combinations. On Saturday, Powerball saw two repeating Four-Number Combinations, a rarity for this lottery, and Lotto Texas was the talk of the town Monday night with a repeating Five-Number Combination. The night of November 23, 2022 was a feast of Combinations!

Another repeating Five-Number Combination was spotted in Lotto Texas, and Powerball helped itself once again to two repeating Four-Number Combinations! Amidst the madness, the Lotto Texas jackpot grew to $16.75 million, and Powerball’s jackpot grew to $48 million.

Lotto Texas and Powerball’s Quadruple Knockout

Somehow, the phrase, “What the <insert favorite expletive> was that?!” doesn’t come close to describing what happened Saturday night.

Lotto Texas and Powerball were truly in sync. In fact, they were so in sync that both, yes both, featured two repeating Four-Number Combinations! Unfortunately for Powerball, that played a part in the jackpot resetting to $20 million. Meanwhile, Lotto Texas seamlessly incorporated its repeating Four-Number Combinations as the jackpot rose to $15.75 million.

Three-Number Combinations

Naturally, it didn’t stop there. Each of those repeating Four-Number Combinations from earlier had four repeating Three-Number Combinations!

With the Powerball jackpot now at $20 million, Lotto Texas isn’t that far behind. (US) Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and there’s no telling what these two are cooking up. On the one hand, things may be quieter, what with the upcoming holiday. On the other hand, Christmas is coming up! We’ll just have to watch and see, won’t we?

Spreading Out and Rising Up

Lottery-wise, Wednesday nights are crowded. Rather than one lottery, two are vying for attention and adoration of players far and wide. Even as people are caught up in the allure of becoming an (almost) overnight millionaire, there’s an organized madness behind the scenes. Lotto Texas and Powerball, from their quietest nights to their biggest blowouts, embrace it willingly. A cold Wednesday night in mid-November is just as good as any.

November 16, 2022 was the night for “organized madness”. One lottery embraced the wonders of a similar spread while the other flirted with a repeating Combination that played twice before. Regardless of the path that was taken, both Lotto Texas and Powerball’s respective jackpots grew to $15.25 million and $93 million.

Similar Spread

Lotto Texas figured a bigger impression with the {4-2} Pattern could be made with a similar spread. Wednesday night’s numbers saw a spread of 02:04:06:05:01. The March 10, 2010 drawing featured winning numbers 36, 42, 47, 48, 52 and 54 with a spread of 06:05:01:04:02. Remember that with similar spreads, the differences between numbers played are the same but their orders (and the numbers played) are different.

There may not be any big jackpots for a while, but you can count on some surprises, especially with the Holiday Season on its way. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe and stay warm.

Pattern Streak and Jackpots Creep

When you see or hear “creep”, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Something icky or disturbing, probably. Or, you’re thinking about all the times a project deadline crept up, and you just knew that you had more time. Now, what if there existed a scenario where something creeping was a good thing? Lottery jackpots, for example, usually grow slowly and steadily, and whoever wins is rewarded handsomely.

November 12, 2022 was a good night for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Their prizes slowly and steadily grow (crept up) to $14.25 million and $59 million, respectively. In fact, one grew with an assist from a Pattern streak.

As we came to Wednesday, things didn’t really settle down. Lotto Texas remained in the grasp of the {3-2-1} Pattern and streaked on to $14 million. Powerball’s jackpot bounced back to $47 million, almost as if the smackdown were more of a slap.

Wow! That was some incredible journey for Powerball. I can’t imagine how much its jackpot would’ve been if this had gone on all year long! All I can say is, probably a heck of a lot. Who knows when something like this will occur again? This is Romulun Harris signing off and wishing good luck to the $2 billion dollar winner!

And Going…

Powerball’s jackpot continued to be the elephant in the room. Its growth wasn’t hampered earlier in the week, and nothing slowed it down Wednesday night. In fact, a Pattern three-peat, and then some, pushed the prize to $1.5 billion!

“Why should Powerball have all the fun?” Lotto Texas thought. “I’m still relevant, dagnabit!”

(Good ol’ Lotto Texas, keeping it classy)

Lotto Texas may not be as grand as Powerball, but the prize over there saw a growth spurt as well. Few would turn their nose up at an $11.5 million jackpot!

Three-Number Combinations

Powerball thought a three-peat and a (near) playback were sufficient for throwing its weight around.

Powerball may be the biggest, baddest lottery around, but this is just another rise-reset-rise cycle. In the meantime, the world continues to watch Powerball with bated breath, wondering if a $2 billion prize isn’t too far off. And Lotto Texas, dear, dignified Lotto Texas, will (most likely) continue onward with little fanfare.

Still Going!

Greetings, Lotterytrend fans! Romulun Harris here. Last night on October 31, 2022, while kids were out getting tricks and treats, the witch’s cash caldron overflowed when the jackpot increased to…. $1.2 billion! Wow! Just when we all thought that Halloween would be the night in which the big jackpot would be won. Anyway, the details.
