March: Out Like an Encore (or Two)

“Repeat” can be good or bad, depending on the context. It can either mean another chance or needless repetition. For lotteries, seeing that Pattern play for the second time in a row can be beneficial if you played that Pattern the last time. However, it can be a bummer if you don’t win, even if the jackpot grows!

As Lotto Texas and Powerball held their last drawings for March, neither were ready to let go of their Monday night Patterns just yet! Their respective jackpots grew to $61 million and $147 million March 29, 2023.

Lotto Texas, ever graceful, so full of poise. Unlike Mega Millions and Powerball, this lottery operates on a smaller scale. This “small” lottery also tends to bow out before reaching $50 million, let alone $20 million. Perhaps Lotto Texas is tired of resetting so soon or just wants a challenge. Whatever the reason, Lotto Texas has more than proved that it can hang with big boys Mega Millions and Powerball over the past six months.

Saturday night’s results kept Lotto Texas in the club for a bit longer. By the power of a {3-2-1} Pattern encore, the jackpot rose to $58 million. Lest we forget about Powerball, that lottery didn’t need an encore to boost the jackpot to $122 million.

Mega Millions’ (Near) Playback Season

Playbacks are truly something, aren’t they? Nothing like the Pattern, Specific Order, and General Order (Mega Millions and Powerball only) all sharing a date when they were last seen together! The most notable is the Australia Play. There are, of course, other ways to achieve a playback, but it’s not always guaranteed. Mega Millions found that out recently.

This lottery tried for a playback Friday night but fell short. However, it did succeed in boosting the jackpot to $322 million.

Jackpot Growth, So it Goes

They say it’s always the ones you least expect. For as long as we’ve done Lottery Binge, the current behavior in Lotto Texas is something for sure. Never have we seen such determination from a lottery known to bow out gracefully long before the jackpot reaches as high as it has become lately! Lotto Texas, often overshadowed by Powerball and Mega Million, continues to have a jackpot that’s “in their league”, so to speak.

Rather than opt for a Pattern encore, Lotto Texas took to playing a less common Pattern Saturday night. This paid off handsomely, for the jackpot grew to $54.5 million. Meanwhile, Powerball’s nifty handling of an Australia Play boosted the jackpot over there to $86 million.
