The Devilishly Delicious Delirium of a Double Encore

There are no words to describe what happened the night of June 3, 2020. Powerball’s jackpot was brought down to size by a lone winner from West Virginia. This, along with encores from both Lotto Texas’s Pattern and Specific Order, caused a disturbance the likes of which had never been seen before. Because the Lotto Texas jackpot rose to $19.5 million and the Powerball jackpot reset to $20 million, there is now only a $500,000 difference between them!

Lotto Texas

With winning numbers 8, 31, 36, 41, 42 and 47, the {3-2-1} Pattern made its 936th appearance in Lotto Texas.

There have now been 1765 Lotto Texas drawings, and this Pattern has played 53% of the time.

Now with 165 appearances, the 1 2 3 Specific Order has played in 17.6% of the 936 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 1765 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 9.35% of the time.

Both the {3-2-1} Pattern and the 1 2 3 Specific Order were last seen in the May 30, 2020 drawing.

Four-Number Combinations

There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations Wednesday night. Perhaps having a jackpot that’s almost just as much as Powerball’s was too much for Lotto Texas, exciting thought it was.

Powerball

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 187th appearance with winning numbers 1, 3, 26, 41, 64 and PB 17.

This Specific Order has also played in 7.49% of the 187 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 2.87% of all 487 drawings. Even after what happened this past Wednesday night, it isn’t likely that Lotto Texas’s jackpot will surpass Powerball’s. Getting back to the present, it appears that both lotteries played their most commonly seen Patterns. Will Saturday night produce encores for either the {3-2-1} Pattern or the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern?

Mega Millions’ Jumbo June Jackpot

The first five months of 2020 have been wild, to put it mildly. As of June 3, 2020, 380,000 lives have been lost globally to the (ongoing) COVID-19 pandemic, and protests for justice are taking place worldwide.

Lottery Binge is a blog that’s dedicated to giving y’all analysis for Lotto Texas, Powerball, and Mega Millions. Normally, we stay out of politics, but this must be said. What happened to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbrey was murder. They are only three of the thousands of innocent black men, women, and children whose lives were taken by police brutality. For too long, black Americans have disproportionately felt the brunt of this injustice. It was on the backs of African slaves that the United States became the economic powerhouse that it is today. Their descendants have had to endure, and continue to endure, a system that sees them as second-class citizens at best.

There are 7.5 billion humans on this blue dot. We all bleed the same blood. There are things that transcend religion and race. We all want the best education for our kids, a roof over our heads, jobs that pay the bills and leave extra for saving, and food to eat. Above all, we all want justice, safety, and security.

To all our readers, especially our American readers, if you are planning to protest, stay safe and be aware of your surroundings.

To everyone else: Humanity is at the crossroads. We must decide if we want a peaceful, secure future for all, or a future ruled by strife, confusion, and fear, a future where lives are nasty, brutish, and short.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled blog post.

The similar spread we saw this past Friday night knocked the wind out of Mega Millions! So much, in fact, that there was no {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore for the June 3, 2020 drawing. However, in the spirit of blockbuster season (it is summer, after all), there’s a monster of a jackpot that saw another growth spurt. With no one picking the six winning numbers, the prize ballooned to $378 million.

This was reconfigured from the 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order seen July 22, 2016.

Three-Number Combinations

Tuesday night didn’t feature any repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will the monstrous jackpot be claimed Friday night, or will it grow once again?

The Jackpot Cornucopia

Lotto Texas and Powerball made it to the end of May. If you were itching for Pattern encores for May 30, 2020, then there were none to be had. Instead, something grander occurred. The jackpots for both lotteries rose once more! A $18.75 million prize in Lotto Texas and a $135 million prize in Powerball were nothing to sneeze at.

Will the Lotto Texas and Powerball jackpots reach monstrous levels in June, or will at least one of them be brought down to size?

356 Million Reasons to Spread Out

Mega Millions certainly won’t be ending May with a Pattern streak, let alone a Pattern encore. If the results of the May 29, 2020 drawing were anything to go by, it was time to pull another tool out of the arsenal. In this case, the tool was a similar spread. That didn’t put a dent in the jackpot; if anything, it boosted the prize to $356 million!

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 10, 13, 32, 41, 51 and MB 3, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played 160 times.

That night, the winning numbers were 1, 20, 30, 33, 42 and MB 16 and their spread was 19:10:03:09. The differences between the numbers played those two nights were the same. Note, however, that their orders weren’t the same.

Let Those Jackpots Ride!

There’s a buzz in the air! School’s (letting) out and all that pent-up energy has to go somewhere. The theme parks may not be open yet, but the beaches and great outdoors are as popular as ever. Everyone is looking forward to more daylight, warmer temperatures and hopefully an increasing sense of “normalcy”.

Lotto Texas and Powerball spent the night of May 27, 2020 boosting their stores. With no one picking the six winning numbers, their respective jackpots climbed to $18.25 million and $125 million.

Mega Millions’ Memorial Day Combination Blowout

Another Memorial Day weekend has come and gone. As people far and wide retreated back to their homes (having gotten a little taste of sunlight and fresh air), Mega Millions geared up for a blowout. While the odds of a Pattern streak are looking slim, this lottery more than made up for it with a volley of repeating Three-Number Combinations. May 26, 2020 was also favorable for all those who are crazy for crazy-large jackpots! With the jackpot unclaimed once again, the prize shot up to $336 million.

The Iron Grip of the {3-2-1} Pattern

The {3-2-1} Pattern reigned supreme May 23, 2020. There was, in fact, a {3-2-1} Pattern three-peat in Lotto Texas. However, that wasn’t enough to satiate this Pattern’s appetite. That’s right: the {3-2-1} Pattern also showed up in Powerball! A Pattern’s double appearance did nothing to bring the jackpots down. If anything, that made them grow even more! Lotto Texas grew to $17.5 million and Powerball ballooned to $114 million.

The Three-peat That Never Was

Beer and barbeque. Beach weather. Holiday weekend! All these and more were perfectly good reasons for Mega Millions to pile on with a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore. It would have made for a stellar kick off to the summer season. There were other plans for the May 22, 2020 drawing. However, one plan that stuck around was the rising jackpot. With the grand prize unclaimed yet again, it rose to $313 million.

The Grand {3-2-1} Pattern Encore

So, the {3-2-1} Pattern made an encore in Lotto Texas. Big deal. Why yes, it was a big deal!

The {3-2-1} Pattern encore of May 20, 2020 solidified this Pattern as the King of Lotto Texas. Furthermore, this encore produced a repeating Five-Number Combination (and all that it implies) and fueled this lottery’s love of a growing jackpot. This normally unassuming lottery saw its grand prize rise to $17.25 million.

Powerball didn’t ruffle any feathers. However, it too saw its jackpot climb, reaching $104 million.
