February 24, 2021, belonged to Powerball. This lottery saw its jackpot cross over the $100 million threshold ($106 million), thanks to another repeat appearance by the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. If you ever wondered why this Pattern is the most common in Powerball, thank repeats!

Lotto Texas, ever so classy, didn’t see a winner, either. As Powerball went about grandstanding, this lottery’s jackpot quietly rose to $6 million.

Mega Millions Warms Up to a Pattern Encore

At this time last week, we were doing all that we could to stay warm and were ever grateful the pipes didn’t burst. Now, the snow and ice has melted, and it feels more like spring. Even though calendar-wise it’s only a few weeks away, this warmth is much-welcomed.

Believe it or not, a warm-up took place in Mega Millions, albeit a different kind. The February 23, 2021 drawing saw this lottery stick with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. This gave the jackpot a boost to $30 million.

General Lottery Analysis

Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern stick around for Friday night’s drawing, or will Mega Millions have other plans?

The Good Kind of Encore

There are few things people ever want to relive. A devastating hurricane, for one. Sitting in a cold, dark house for nearly three days in subfreezing temperatures is another. On the opposite end of the spectrum are things so wonderful you want to relive them again, like winning a contest or lottery Pattern encores.

That last one wasn’t a typo.

Between Lotto Texas and Powerball, one of these lotteries saw a Pattern encore February 20, 2021. Now, both lotteries did see an increase in their jackpots. Lotto Texas rose to $5.75 million and Powerball ascended to $90 million. Which of these jokers saw the Pattern encore? Keep reading!

Back to Your Regularly Scheduled Mega Millions

Mega Millions waits for no man, or no blog, rather. Instead of eating king cake, listening to zydeco, and bringing you the latest analysis, we, along with millions of others, were sitting in the dark and working to keep warm. Now that our power has been restored, it’s back to business.

One thing that can be said about the Mardi Gras 2021 drawing is that someone from New Jersey (Joisey!) won the coveted $96 million and the lottery’s jackpot reset itself to $20 million. A Pattern encore wasn’t in the cards February 19, 2021 but Friday night didn’t disappoint if you like rising jackpots! And who doesn’t? With no one matching the six winning numbers, the prize jumped to $22 million.

Après la Neige (After the Snow)

A beautiful sight but a sad aftermath.

Hello, everyone. If you’ve been following our blog, there was no Mega Millions post. This is because we went close to three days without electricity. As for Lotto Texas and Powerball? We got our electricity back late last night and will not be able to provide analysis tonight. We’ll be bringing you the latest Mega Millions analysis in Saturday’s post.

Late Sunday night/early Monday morning, Texas was hit with snow and ice, plus record-low temperatures that hadn’t been seen in decades. The state’s power grid couldn’t handle the load and parts of it needed to be shut down. Otherwise, it would have spelled an even larger catastrophe.

Because of the refusal to properly winterize Texas’s power grid, millions were left cold, hungry and frustrated. As many dealt with (near) freezing temperatures in their homes and/or pipes that had burst, some lost their lives.

The saddest part is that all of this could have been avoided. As Texas continues to get back on its feet, keep us in your thoughts, y’all.

Fired Up Lotteries

February 13, 2021 was a bitterly cold night for so many people in Lottery Trend Country. Lotto Texas and Powerball, being lotteries and all, were immune and kept on trucking! As the temperature readings dropped, the jackpots rose. With no one picking the six winning numbers, the prizes jumped to $5.25 million and $66 million, respectively.

Will Wednesday night mean the return of the Australia Play and/or the {2-2-1-1} Pattern?

3, 2, 1…and Combinations!

February 12, 2021 was a wild night for Mega Millions. For starters, it decided to go out on a date with one of its least commonly played Patterns. That sent players foaming at the mouth. However, the prize jumped to $96 million, so the foaming was short-lived.

The biggest draw of the evening was the appearance of six, yes six, repeating Three-Number Combinations! Was this by an assist from a repeating Four-Number Combo, or was it by something else? Let’s find out!

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern made its 31st appearance with winning numbers 5, 14, 24, 25, 27 and MB 14.

Three-Number Combinations

The six repeating Three-Number Combinations were as follows:

These Combinations came about by their own merits. No repeating Four-Number Combination needed!

Given the history of Mega Millions’ {3-2-1} Pattern, it isn’t likely that they’ll be together Tuesday night. If 2020 is anything to go by, then anything is possible!

The Blindsided Lottery

On this blog, we provide analysis on Lotto Texas, Powerball, and Mega Millions. One of these lotteries is not like the others. This lottery starts off with a lower initial jackpot and slowly, yet gracefully, increases its prize whenever players fail to pick the six winning numbers. When this lottery gets knocked down, it takes much longer to build its stores back up.

That lottery, friends, is Lotto Texas, and on February 10, 2021, that lottery got smacked down. The prize reset itself to $5 million, naturally. And, let’s be honest, $5 million is nothing to sneeze at.

The night was kinder to Powerball. Although there wasn’t a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore, this lottery received an assist from a similar spread. With that came a jackpot that rose to $56 million.

 Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-3} Pattern was what made one player from Baytown, TX $6.25 million richer. With winning numbers 26, 27, 34, 37, 48 and 53, this Pattern has played 148 times.

Back to $5 million! Source: lotterytrend.com.

Once all 1837 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 2.50% of the time. Prior to Wednesday night, the 0 3 3 Specific Order played April 15, 2020.

Four-Number Combinations

This blindside was too much for Lotto Texas to brush off. There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 15, 39, 58, 63, 67 and PB 7, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 110th appearance.

Once all 559 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 6.80% of the time. Prior to Wednesday night, the [1-1-3-1] General Order played January 20, 2021.

Now with three appearances, the 0 1 1 0 3 1 Specific Order has played in 7.89% of the 38 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-3-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 2.73% of the 110 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 559 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 0.54% of the time. The 0 1 1 0 3 1 Specific Order was last seen November 17, 2016.

Similar Spread

The spread for February 10th was 24:19:05:04. This is similar to what was seen November 10, 2018. That night, the winning numbers were 5, 29, 34, 53, 57 and PB 24; the spread was 24:05:19:04. Note how even though the differences between numbers were the same, their orders were different.

Three-Number Combinations

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations. A similar spread was enough excitement for Powerball!

Will Lotto Texas and Powerball stick with these Patterns as we head into Valentine’s weekend, or will they be dumped?
