The Jackpot Takedown That Never Was

Mega Millions, Lotto Texas, and Powerball don’t have much in common. One thing they do have in common lately is how difficult it has been for anyone to claim their jackpots. Currently, one jackpot is worth over one billion dollars, and there’s another lottery that may be crazy enough to go for it. Meanwhile, the other lottery has  a much smaller, though just as powerful prize. Millions is millions, after all. In fact, Lotto Texas and Powerball  have much in common these days!

January 11, 2023 was a night that highlighted those commonalities. Of course, Lotto Texas and Powerball’s jackpots went unclaimed, and respectively rose to $30.75 million and $404 million. However, a funny thing happened on the way to rising jackpots.
