Mega Millions’ Summer Finale

Another summer has come and gone, and Mega Millions was the lottery to end it off. After resting up Tuesday night, this lottery came back pumped up and ready to dish out the repeating Combinations! The volley of repeating Combinations, and a jackpot that grew to $230 million, was all thanks to a Pattern that doesn’t get much play in Mega Millions.

Will this momentum carry over to Mega Millions’ first autumn drawing Tuesday night?

Powerball: Lotto Texas Times 100

When you’ve said, “It’s like <insert whatever> times 100”, you meant that <insert whatever> is like <some other thing> is much better, or much worse. For example, if someone said a show is like “Game of Thrones: Season 8” times 100, then (s)he’s likely saying it’s a terrible show. No offense to anyone who liked “Game of Thrones: Season 8” of course. Sometimes, <insert whatever> times 100 is quite literal. When numbers are involved, like with Wednesday night’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings, it most certainly is literal.

September 20, 2023 was a night to remember, for sure. By the combined powers of both an Australia Play and an uncommon Pattern, the Lotto Texas and Powerball prizes grew to $7.25 million and $725 million, respectively. Yes, the Powerball prize was 100 times larger than Lotto Texas’s!

Money, money everywhere, and not a cent to spend. And I’d like to close this little article by sharing prayers for those who died in the September 11, 2001 attack back in New York City. Yes, although it may have been over 20 years, this is an important event that must never be forgotten because some of those people who died gave their lives for this country. I also give my prayers to those still living and have lost friends and family on that frightening, heartbreaking day. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe and be careful.

A Different Kind of Shower

August is known for being hot, almost ridiculously so, and the month when many students return to school. This month is also known for another phenomenon: meteor showers. If you look at the right part of the sky, on the right night at the right time, you can see them streak across the sky. Given that so many of us contend with light pollution, we’ll have to deal with another type of shower, the shower of repeating Combinations. Saturday night was prime viewing!

The night of August 26, 2023 was a night for both repeating Combinations and rising jackpots. Lotto Texas grew graciously to $ 6 million. Powerball, powered by a near playback, grew to $363 million.

That Rebooting Feeling

For good or ill, reboots have been a running theme of a good part of the 21st century so far. In fact, they seem inevitable. Although not every movie and television show get hits with the reboot bug (though some would argue, “Give it time.”), lottery reboots are inevitable. What’s more is that they happen without notice. A Wednesday night in the middle of a sweltering August is just as good as any other time for a lottery reboot to strike.

It was Lotto Texas’s turn to face the reboot music, so to speak, as the jackpot was knocked back down to $5 million. Meanwhile, Powerball’s jackpot continued unbothered, growing to $264 million.

Lotto Texas

Is Powerball’s jackpot reboot coming up Saturday night, or will there be more time to spare?

Of Three-peats and “Three-Timing” Combinations

In addition to the whole “Gotta raise the jackpot” mindset, there was one other thing that came to mind for Lotto Texas and Powerball Saturday night: “thirds”. Yes, thirds. One Pattern ruled the week in its respective lottery while the other saw a repeating Combination that played for the third time! Once the dust settled, the Lotto Texas and Powerball jackpots rose to $16.5 million and $215 million, respectively.

Prior to Saturday night, the 0 2 1 1 1 1 Specific Order played August 2, 2023.

Three-Number Combinations

A trio of repeating Three-Number Combinations was spotted, with one Combination having played twice before!

Will the {3-2-1} Pattern streak be solidified in Lotto Texas Monday night, and could Powerball see a playback?

The Art of Multi-Dipping

What is multi-dipping? Double-dipping and multitasking, sure, but multi-dipping? In this case, multi-dipping involves the presence of a Pattern that has played at least two times in a row and had a repeating Combination that has played at least three times. Multi-dipping can either boost a jackpot or bring someone great fortune. Often, as we saw August 9, 2023, it’s the former.

Of Lotto Texas and Powerball, at least one of those lotteries practiced the art of multi-dipping. However, both lotteries saw a boost in their jackpots. Lotto Texas grew to $15.75 million, and Powerball grew to $194 million.

Lotto Texas

The {3-2-1} Pattern returned Wednesday night with winning numbers 6, 15, 31, 35, 36 and 38. This Pattern has now played 1156 times. There have now been 2200 Lotto Texas drawings, and the {3-2-1} Pattern has played 52.5% of the time. Recall that this Pattern was seen in the August 7, 2023 drawing.

Once all 2200 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 9.18% of the time. Prior to Wednesday night, the 2 3 1 Specific Order played July 8, 2023.

Four-Number Combinations

Repeating Four-Number Combination 6, 15, 35, and 38 debuted January 12, 2008 and previously played May 4, 2013.

Lotto Texas for sure engaged in the art of multi-dipping. What of Powerball?

Lotto Texas’s {3-2-1} Pattern has been known to make three-peats, and Powerball’s {2-2-1-1} Pattern is no slouch when it comes to encores, either! Is more multi-dipping in store Saturday night?

Almost five years ago! Will the jackpot be won tonight or will it break its own record and possibly reach $2 billion like Powerball did back on November 7, 2022? This is Romulun Harris signing off and wishing all playing Megamillions tonight good luck! Stay safe!
