The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern Ouroboros

The ouroboros, as defined by the Google dictionary, is “a circular symbol depicting a snake, or less commonly a dragon, swallowing its tail, as an emblem of wholeness or infinity.” It looks something like this:

Friday’s drawing. Source: Google Images (original site: https://tribu.co.uk/products/ouroboros-snake-sterling-silver-ring)

Mega Millions was like the ouroboros in the June 29, 2018 drawing. Although nothing mystical happened, and the jackpot climbed to $256 million, Pattern-wise, the month ended the way it started. This is much like the snake eating its own tail.

July is right around the corner. Will there be a pre-Fourth of July blowout, or will Mega Millions have other plans?

The One Where Dominant Patterns Dominate

Lotto Texas and Powerball operated on the same frequency June 27th. Not only did they both see their most dominant Patterns play, they saw a rise in their jackpots. The respective grand prizes are now $8 million and $60 million. And that’s not all! One of these Patterns made a consecutive appearance, and one lottery saw a playback. For the new readers, and for those who need a refresher, a playback happens when a Pattern, General Order (not applicable to Lotto Texas), and Specific Order played together on a previous date.

Turn up the heat! As of the June 26th drawing, there has yet to be a grand prize winner. The jackpot is now $232 million. So far, Mega Millions has avoided Pattern streaks. For now, it has opted on a growing jackpot, with an encore here and there.

A Sizzling Pattern Encore

Summer has been in gear for a few days, and already two noteworthy events took place in Lottery World June 23, 2018. One was that the jackpots for Lotto Texas and Powerball climbed to $7.75 million and $50 million, respectively. The other was a Pattern encore.

Could the {3-2-1} Pattern establish a streak in Wednesday’s drawing? Could {3-1-1-1} make an encore in Powerball?

The Middling {3-1-1-1}

What better way to start a new season (summer or winter, depending on where you are) than with the “middle child” of Mega Millions Patterns? The {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared far more often than many Patterns. Yet, it’ll be a long time before it ever dreams of catching up with either the {2-1-1-1-1} or {2-2-1-1} Patterns.  This “middle child” had a lot going for it in the June 22, 2018 drawing. One of its feats was pushing the Mega Millions jackpot to $212 million.

General Lottery Analysis

This played alongside the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned May 22nd drawing.

Another surprise was the debut of the 3 1 0 1 0 1 Specific Order. With that said, this Specific Order has played in 4% of the 25 drawings where [3-1-1-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 1.43% of the 70 drawings where the winning Pattern was {3-1-1-1} and in 0.27% of all 369 drawings.

The Patterns Take It Up a Notch

June 20, 2018 was an important date, to be sure! One, it was the last official day of spring, or autumn for those of you reading from the Southern Hemisphere. Lotto Texas said “Hello” to the new season with an increase in the jackpot, now at $7.5 million. Meanwhile, Powerball had its $151 million jackpot won by a single ticket sold in Oregon.  Despite their separate paths, both lotteries saw some common Patterns.

Revenge of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern

Another Mega Millions drawing, another rise in the jackpot. After the June 19th drawing, the prize is now $192 million! Like we saw in the June 15th analysis, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern didn’t stay down for long. In today’s analysis, we saw that this Pattern made an encore. But, as we’ve seen in the past, there was more under the hood than “just” the encore.

General Lottery Analysis

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern go on to a three-peat Friday? Could the jackpot crack the $200 million barrier?

Mid-Month Breather with a Side of Uncommon Patterns

Lotto Texas and Powerball followed Mega Millions’s lead on June 16th. They took a break. This break, along with rising jackpots ($7.25 million for Lotto Texas and $151 million in Powerball), is like watching an engaging drama. The real start of summer is June 20th (or 21st), and all the biggest plays don’t—can’t—happen just yet. Give too much away, and people will tune out. Suspense must also be built, and at the same time, there should be breather periods where the audience can catch their breath.

The Unassuming {2-2-1-1} Pattern

The Mega Millions gods decided it was time for a breather. After a first half of the month filled with Pattern encores and uncommon Patterns, June 15, 2018 was markedly different. There was one consistency though. The jackpot has risen once again, and now stands at $175 million.

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern try again in establishing a Pattern streak next week?

Fanfare for the Common Pattern

After an encounter with an uncommon Pattern this past Saturday, June 13th saw Lotto Texas veer back onto a more “normal” path. Powerball, on the other hand, saw any hopes for a “three-peat” be dashed.

One thing that appeared “meant to be” after Wednesday night was the build-up for a potential blowout. With no grand prize winners for either lottery, the jackpots are now $7 million for Lotto Texas, and $137 million for Powerball. Another was the appearance of each lottery’s most commonly seen Pattern.
