The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern Ouroboros

The ouroboros, as defined by the Google dictionary, is “a circular symbol depicting a snake, or less commonly a dragon, swallowing its tail, as an emblem of wholeness or infinity.” It looks something like this:

Mega Millions was like the ouroboros in the June 29, 2018 drawing. Although nothing mystical happened, and the jackpot climbed to $256 million, Pattern-wise, the month ended the way it started. This is much like the snake eating its own tail.

Lotto Texas and Powerball operated on the same frequency June 27th. Not only did they both see their most dominant Patterns play, they saw a rise in their jackpots. The respective grand prizes are now $8 million and $60 million. And that’s not all! One of these Patterns made a consecutive appearance, and one lottery saw a playback. For the new readers, and for those who need a refresher, a playback happens when a Pattern, General Order (not applicable to Lotto Texas), and Specific Order played together on a previous date.

The Middling {3-1-1-1}

What better way to start a new season (summer or winter, depending on where you are) than with the “middle child” of Mega Millions Patterns? The {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared far more often than many Patterns. Yet, it’ll be a long time before it ever dreams of catching up with either the {2-1-1-1-1} or {2-2-1-1} Patterns.  This “middle child” had a lot going for it in the June 22, 2018 drawing. June 20, 2018 was an important date, to be sure! One, it was the last official day of spring, or autumn for those of you reading from the Southern Hemisphere. Another Mega Millions drawing, another rise in the jackpot. After the June 19th drawing, the prize is now $192 million! Like we saw in the June 15th analysis, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern didn’t stay down for long. In today’s analysis, we saw that this Pattern made an encore. But, as we’ve seen in the past, there was more under the hood than “just” the encore.

The real start of summer is June 20th (or 21st), and all the biggest plays don’t—can’t—happen just yet. Give too much away, and people will tune out. Fanfare for the Common Pattern

After an encounter with an uncommon Pattern this past Saturday, June 13th saw Lotto Texas veer back onto a more “normal” path. Powerball, on the other hand, saw any hopes for a “three-peat” be dashed.

One thing that appeared “meant to be” after Wednesday night was the build-up for a potential blowout. With no grand prize winners for either lottery, the jackpots are now $7 million for Lotto Texas, and $137 million for Powerball. Another was the appearance of each lottery’s most commonly seen Pattern.
