Powered by Forsaken Playbacks

The Lurking Jackpots

Halloween will soon be here, and one thing that embodies the season is monsters. Monster movies and monster costumes are a yearly staple, but what about monster-sized jackpots? Even though one beast of a jackpot has been slain, there’s still one more, lurking in the shadows.

At least one Australia Play and at least one Pattern encore were spotted Saturday night. As they went about their mischief, they helped Lotto Texas and Powerball evade capture. Lotto Texas’s jackpot grew to $8.75 million, a good-sized prize on its own. To the surprise of no one, Powerball was the one harboring the beast of a jackpot, a jackpot that expanded to $610 million.

One thing about lotteries is that when they get knocked down, they’re usually not down for long! Mega Millions received a double whammy Friday night, with two players winning the jackpot. Tuesday night saw this lottery bounce back and start the upward climb once again, settling at $30 million.
