HallowThankmas

A shout out to a work colleague who gave me the idea for today’s post title!

To all you readers who didn’t know if I had a day job, you do now…

There are only two months left in the year. You know what that means, right? We’re talking about a mishmash of decorations, turkey vs. ham (turducken, even), looking for the best deals on gifts, and wondering if you’ve made it on the “Nice List”.

That’s right. It’s HallowThankmas time!

Lotto Texas and Powerball got into the holiday spirit. They took advantage of Halloween Eve, bounding about and keeping the players at arm’s length. This paid off, as the lotteries made like ghosts when the players got too close. The prizes rose to $7.5 million and $150 million, respectively.

The Sweetest Candy

The sweetest treat is hard to grab. Millions seek it, spend money even, but few obtain it.

Lotto Texas and Powerball Take Inventory

Why scramble like a couple of nuts the day before Halloween when you can take inventory right now? That was the line of thinking Lotto Texas and Powerball followed this past Saturday night. Even if they can’t pass out candy, there needs to be something to get the humans to play, yes?

October 26th, 2019 was a night of common Patterns and rising jackpots for both lotteries. With neither Lotto Texas nor Powerball seeing a grand prize winner, their respective prizes rose to $7.25 million and $140 million.

Lotto Texas and Powerball have the honor of playing the day before Halloween (All Hallow’s Eve Eve?). Commonly seen Patterns are ripe for repeat appearances, and we’ll need to watch and see if either the {3-2-1} Pattern three-peat or {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern come through. But considering that it’s coming up on the night of tricks, what if the lotteries have something else in store?

Sweet Sixteenth’s Revenge

Today’s B-movie title is brought to you by the Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings of October 23, 2019.

Lotteries are well aware that humans hunt for them. Once caught, they have no choice but to give up their prizes. The humans celebrate with lavish (early) retirement parties and the lotteries reset. Capture is inevitable, “But why make it easy for them?” they think.

This is where the bag of tricks come out and the players get thwarted. The method employed Wednesday night was a callback to a very recent date. Lotto Texas ascended to $7 million and Powerball sat high and dry at $130 million up for grabs.

“Un-4-2-itous!”

We’ve hit a snag at Lottery Trend headquarters. The computer we use to build our websites BSODed on us, thanks to a wonky Windows update. No updated sites mean no pictures. Hopefully, it’ll be up and running soon and I can grab the pictures then. Well, as they say, the show must go on!

Update 10/23/19: There are now pictures! Keep scrolling to see them.

There was nothing wonky about either Lotto Texas or Powerball this past Saturday. The lotteries kept players on their toes, and away from the grand prizes, once again. Lotto Texas took the path of an uncommon Pattern and boosted the jackpot to $6.75 million. Powerball played its most common Pattern and sent its grand prize to $120 million.

A Lucky Night for {4-1-1}

Friday night: The gateway to the weekend. From football to eating out to binge watching, there are activities for everyone! For those of you out there in Internet Land who want to retire early (who doesn’t?!), there’s Mega Millions, ready to greet you with robust jackpots. Why, every now and then, the jackpot is beastly.

Whether a taunt or a blessing in disguise, the prize couldn’t be claimed by anyone. The October 18, 2019 drawing led to the jackpot rising to $82 million, all thanks to an appearance from the {4-1-1} Pattern.

With an uncommonly seen Pattern making the rounds Friday night, it would truly be something if it comes back for an encore Tuesday night! Encore or no, we’ll have to see if the jackpot will continue to rise, or will it be brought down to size.

The Mid-Week Streak

We caught another one!

The Pattern streak fish were biting the night of October 16, 2019. Lotto Texas was able to catch one, and that had the effect of raising the jackpot to $6.5 million.

Powerball wasn’t able to catch this fish. Instead, it opted for a playback fake-out, which kept players from winning the prize here as well. This jackpot rose to $110 million.

We’re halfway through October and you know what means: An almost playback!

Huh? How do you have an almost playback? By having the Pattern and General Order share a date when they last appeared together, of course! At least, that’s what happened in the October 15, 2019 Mega Millions drawing. The fallout was a jackpot jump to $71 million.
