Double Double Australia Australia Play Play

Not that long ago, we witnessed an uncommon phenomenon: two Australia Plays on the same night. Would you believe that on January 29, 2022 that it happened again?! This double Australia Play had the jackpots for both Lotto Texas and Powerball leaping to greater heights. The Lotto Texas jackpot jumped to $8 million, and Powerball’s bounded to $113 million.

A Jackpot’s Golden (State) Finale

After three months of growth and feeling invincible, the Mega Millions jackpot finally met its match. On Friday night, a lone player from California brought the massive jackpot to its knees. Naturally, the prize was reset to $20 million.

With the jackpot reset, Mega Millions will be starting February with a clean slate. The question is, how clean? Will the jackpot begin to grow again Tuesday night, or will someone put a hold on that?

Shades of Christmas…in January

The days are getting longer, it’s the dead of winter, and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Wait, what?! Christmas was last month! True, but it’s colder than it was last month, and there’s always that one person who leaves up Christmas decorations year-round. Let’s not forget that the lottery world doesn’t adhere to our sense of time. Holidays, or shades of them, can strike at any time.

Lotto Texas saw shades of Christmas January 26, 2022, and saw its jackpot rise to $7.75 million. Powerball didn’t see any shades of Christmas (that was last week), but that had no effect on the jackpot. After the dust settled, the Powerball jackpot rose to $104 million.

Dance the Upward Dance

One word best describes the Mega Millions jackpot so far in 2022: unwavering. Since October, all efforts to bring it down have only made it grow even more. Three months have passed and there has yet to be a winner. Was Tuesday night the night someone could walk off with riches beyond their wildest dreams?

Well, no. The Mega Millions jackpot remained standing January 25, 2022. Once again, the jackpot had another growth spurt, stopping at $421 million.

Things are back to usual for the moment. But something incredible will happen again. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe!

The Saturday Night Lottery Mania

January 22, 2022 was when it happened. A great madness descended upon the lottery world. Lotto Texas saw both and encore and a playback. This was minor compared to the madness that afflicted Powerball. There, a repeating Four-Number Combination surfaced. Naturally, a repeating Four-Number Combination never acts alone, and to say nothing of the other repeating Three-Number Combinations that didn’t spring from it! This sea of madness fueled the rise of the Lotto Texas and Powerball jackpots to $7.25 million and $82 million, respectively.

Three-Number Combinations

  • 8, 14, 67
  • 8, 14, PB 17
  • 14, 67, PB 17
  • 8, 67, PB 17

All the Combinations above debuted in the previously mentioned September 6th drawing. However, Powerball wasn’t done! Three more repeating Three-Number Combinations came forth:

Playbacks and a bombardment of Combinations will certainly shake things up in a lottery routine! One thing to keep an eye on in the week ahead is that {3-2-1} Pattern in Lotto Texas. That’s the most common Pattern in that lottery, and it’s been known to show up multiple times in a row. As to whether we’ll see another bombardment of repeating Combinations and more playbacks? That remains to be seen.

Mega Millions’ Friday Night Routine

Routines are an inescapable part of life. From getting ready for work or school to even just sleeping in on weekends, routines are what give our lives some semblance of order. Thing is, sticking to the same routine can get boring; it’s good to shake it up now and again. Lotteries are good at that!

Take Mega Millions. Earlier this week, it got a visit from the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Now, there could have been a Pattern encore this past Friday night. After all, this Pattern is notorious for such. Instead, Mega Millions took a different approach. Sure, there was wailing and gnashing of teeth from those who partook in the Friday night routine (or just wanted to shake it up a bit), but if there’s one saving grace, the jackpot ballooned to $396 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 141st appearance in the January 21, 2022 drawing with 38, 45, 46, 55, 67 and MB 18.

There have now been 743 Mega Millions drawings, and this Pattern has played 19% of the time. The {3-1-1-1} Pattern wasn’t gone for long. This Pattern played exactly one week prior, in the January 14, 2022 drawing.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order, now with 45 appearances, has played in 31.9% of the 141 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 743 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 6.06% of the time. The [3-1-1-1] General Order was last seen July 9, 2021.

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations Friday night.

As the Mega Millions jackpot continues on its upward trek, will it meet its match next week, or keep on growing?

Out With the Australia Plays, In With the…

A love for the Australia Play took hold in the lottery world these past few drawings! Lotto Texas went back and forth, and Powerball’s love for the Australia Play was expressed with an encore this past Monday.

The night of January 19, 2022 was another matter. Although both Lotto Texas and Powerball set the Australia Play aside, they continued to operate on the same wavelength. That is, they went for a more common Pattern. This approach helped the jackpots rise to $7 million and $76 million, respectively.

It may be cold outside, but Lotto Texas and Powerball continue to heat up. Seeing as both lotteries went for their most common Patterns, it remains to be seen if either one or both Patterns will return Saturday night. And, should those Pattern encores come to pass, will the jackpots go up, or will they go down?

A Mega Millions’ Jackpot’s Guide to Surviving January

Mega Millions finished 2021 strong and showed no signs of weakening Tuesday night. With Powerball having been knocked off its feet earlier this month and Lotto Texas being its ever-reserved self, the Mega Millions jackpot reigned supreme! Thanks to an assist from a very common Pattern, the jackpot rose to an astonishing $376 million.

Going into Friday night, a beast of a jackpot got a boost from the most seen Pattern in Mega Millions. That Pattern has a way of going beyond just making an encore appearance and has assisted jackpots in their quest for growth. Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern assist the jackpot once again Friday night, or will it be the reset button?
