Giving it One More Go

May is almost over, and what a month it was! The {3-2-1] Pattern dominated, with a streak in Lotto Texas and even paying Powerball and Mega Millions a visit. After being “dethroned” last weekend, other Patterns took the spotlight, and even made an encore. The {3-2-1} Pattern’s absence was short-lived, however, as it came back for one more go-around Saturday night. That, along with a playback, helped boost the Lotto Texas jackpot to $17.25 million. Although Powerball didn’t receive this Pattern’s blessing, that didn’t stop the jackpot there from rising to $157 million.

Kicking Back with a Playback

After a long slog, it’s finally here. Sure, those long, carefree summer breaks of yore are but a memory, but you’ll take any day that lengthens the weekend. That’s right: Memorial Day is here! Even though it’s a three-day weekend, you’re going to wonder “Where’d the time go?!” just like you do every other weekend. There are ways to ignore that unpleasant feeling of weekends that seem to go by too fast, if only for a little bit. Going to the beach is one and enjoying the creature comforts of air conditioning and streaming is another. Mega Millions can make the dread of another work week go away, but it’ll cost you at least a couple of bucks. The keyword here, of course, is can.

Mega Millions had something to say about that Friday night: “Don’t quit your day jobs, folks!”

After dominating the lottery landscape, the {3-2-1} Pattern was set aside. The idea of a {3-2-1} Pattern three-peat in Mega Millions, of all places, was promptly squashed by something just as effective, if not more: a playback! The result was a jackpot that grew to $170 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The May 27, 2022 Mega Millions drawing featured the 216th appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 3, 14, 40, 53, 54 and MB 8.

Now with eight appearances, the 2 0 1 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 11.8% of the 68 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This General Order has also played in 3.70% of the 216 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.03% of all 779 drawings.

Prior to Friday night, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, [2-1-2-1] General Order, and the 2 0 1 2 0 1 Specific Order were all featured in the April 19, 2022 drawing.

A Pattern Encore Makes for a Sweet Treat

Whether you’re eight or eighty, something cold and sweet is one way to beat the heat. Perhaps sweet tea is your go-to on blistering hot days, or maybe you’re more the snow cone type? Yet the question remains: How do Lotto Texas and Powerball cope with the heat?

These lotteries may not be able to chow down on popsicles or take pleasure in the wonders of Coke, but on May 25, 2022, they had sweet treats of their own to offer! For starters, both lotteries saw their respective jackpots rise to $16.75 million and $150 million. The other treat was the return of a Pattern that doesn’t get much playtime.

Will either the {3-3} or the {2-2-1-1} Pattern return for Saturday night?

The Spirit of the {3-2-1} Pattern

With only a few days left in May, it’s safe to say that this month belonged to the {3-2-1} Pattern. This Pattern had a lengthy stay in Lotto Texas and even paid Powerball a visit. But all things must end, and the time came for this Pattern to part ways with these lotteries. Before breaking away from Lotto Texas and Powerball, the {3-2-1} Pattern stopped over at Mega Millions. Once Tuesday night rolled around, this Pattern decided to extend its stay. Yes, the {3-2-1} Pattern had an encore in Mega Millions, and with it came a jackpot that grew to $157 million!

The Pattern Done Lost its Grip

Well, folks, it had to come to an end sooner or later. Since May 4th, the {3-2-1} Pattern reigned in Lotto Texas, and on Saturday night, it got pushed aside for another Pattern. Even though the Pattern changed, one element did stay consistent: the rising jackpot. In the end, the Lotto Texas jackpot grew to $16 million.

Earlier in the week, the {3-2-1} Pattern paid Powerball a visit as well. This Pattern isn’t as common there as it is in Lotto Texas, so the lack of an encore wasn’t that surprising. In its place was Powerball’s most played Pattern and a jackpot that grew to $125 million.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The May 21, 2022 Lotto Texas drawing featured the 277th Australia Play with winning numbers 16, 17, 22, 25, 38, and 46.

Similar Spread

Not feeling content with a playback (Remember: All Australia Plays are playbacks, but not all playbacks are Australia Plays), Lotto Texas decided to throw in a similar spread! Saturday night’s numbers had a spread of 01:05:03:13:08. If we look further back, June 2, 2012 saw a spread of 01:08:13:03:05, thanks to 2, 3, 11, 24, 27 and 32. Notice how even though the differences between numbers were the same, their orders were different.

A Most Influential Pattern

The {3-2-1} Pattern is the juggernaut of the lottery world. Not only is it capable of showing up in Lotto Texas, Powerball, and Mega Millions, it is the most common Pattern in Lotto Texas. In fact, the {3-2-1} Pattern has quite the streak going on there, and on Wednesday night, this Pattern showed up in Powerball! Why stop there, though? Why shouldn’t Mega Millions get in on the fun?

That’s just what happened Friday night. The {3-2-1} Pattern was more than eager to spread the love to Mega Millions and defer the dreams of so many. This grew the jackpot to $143 million.

The {3-2-1} Pattern is known for encores, and then some, in Lotto Texas. Could this Pattern return Tuesday night in Mega Millions?

{3-2-1}: A Very Sticky Pattern

Some Patterns are more persistent than others. It’s one thing to show up more often, but what about when that Pattern pops up consistently? Or, what about when that Pattern shows up in not one but two lotteries, and on the same night no less?

The {3-2-1} Pattern was all the rage May 18, 2022. This Pattern continued to stick around in Lotto Texas and decided to stick to Powerball, too. In fact, it was by the grace of the {3-2-1} Pattern that both lotteries saw increases in their respective jackpots. Lotto Texas’s jackpot got a healthy push upward to $15.75 million, and Powerball’s jackpot climbed to $117 million.

Will Saturday night be a continuation of the {3-2-1} Pattern’s reign?

Mega Millions’ Mid-Month Encore Melee

If you think about it, mid-May is a crucial transition period for so many people. College graduations are underway, high school seniors are about to take to the stage, and the young ‘uns are counting down the days until school lets out. In a world of rising costs and uncertainty, one thing that’s certain these days is that whoever has millions (and millions) of dollars can have a neverending summer of sorts, provided the cards are played right.

It’s a guarantee that there were college grads and (soon-to-be) high school grads who tried their hand at Mega Millions May 17, 2022. It’s a guarantee that all were disappointed in the outcome. By the power of a Pattern encore, there were no overnight millionaires. However, a prize that grew to $131 million was sure to make some players even more determined to play again Friday night.
