The Holiday Pattern Shift

The shift into Christmas doesn’t just mean a shift in holidays; a change of seasons is also afoot. In our neck of the woods, fall is falling by the wayside and winter is starting to make a stake, even if it doesn’t necessarily feel like winter outside. Just as Mother Nature does what she wants, lotteries also have a way of doing things.

Mega Millions decided to shake things up Tuesday night. Instead of continuing the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak, November 30, 2021 saw another Pattern go up to bat. This sent the jackpot up to $112 million.

Three-Number Combinations

Funny enough, the winning numbers for May 11, 2021 were 7, 8, 20, 36, 39 and MB 22. It was almost as if for Tuesday night, the last two digits were switched on the middle two numbers. That is, instead of 20 and 36, we saw 26 and 30.

Will the {2-1-2-1} Pattern return Friday night?

The Black Friday Pattern Streak Special

It’s that time of year again, folks! The Christmas holiday season officially kicked off this past Friday, and it’s on tap to be much livelier than last year’s. The November 26, 2021 drawing offered up a Pattern streak and a jackpot that crossed over to $102 million.

The {3-2-1} Pattern Influence

Like Powerball, the {3-2-1} Pattern doesn’t play often in Mega Millions. Friday night’s appearance was beneficial to the jackpot, boosting it to $63 million.

Will the love for the {2-2-1-1} Pattern continue into Friday night?

Mega Millions Remembered the Fifth of November

“Remember, remember, the fifth of November…”

This line comes from a poem regarding the Gunpowder Plot. On November 5, 1605, a fellow by the name of Guy Fawkes led a group of English Catholics in a protest against their persecution. This protest came in the form of an assassination attempt on King James I (that King James I) by blowing up Parliament’s House of Lords. The plot failed and all the conspirators were executed. To celebrate the failed assassination attempt, the English people lit bonfires and set off fireworks, and celebrations continue to this day. You can find more information about Guy Fawkes Day and the Gunpowder Plot here and here.

Mega Millions had a fireworks display of its own. November 5, 2021 saw the return of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, as well as an explosion of repeating Three-Number Combinations. All these propelled the jackpot to $45 million.

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern be so bold as to return yet again Tuesday night?

A Tamer Mega Millions

To say that November 2, 2021 was a quiet night for Mega Millions would be an understatement. This past Friday saw this lottery go wild with repeating Four-Number Combination and its repeating Three-Number Combination spawn (all four of them). Rather than continue with the wildness of repeating Combinations of both the Four and Three-Number kind, Tuesday night was much tamer. In turn, the jackpot quietly increased to $36 million. Considering that November 2nd was All Souls’ Day/Day of the Dead, Mega Millions’ scale-back was fitting.

Mega Millions’ Great Combination Summoning

Mega Millions wanted to start Halloween weekend with something grand, and it was done without the assistance from a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore. This “bang” came in the form of a repeating Four-Number Combination. Now, these may not be as common here as they are in Lotto Texas, but they always leave a big impact! Before we can get to the repeating Four-Number Combination, there’s the matter of the October 29, 2021 drawing itself. As Mega Millions put aside its most common Pattern to explore other avenues, the jackpot climbed to $26 million.
