Through the Clouds and Into June

May 31, 2019 was more than just the last day of May. This year, it had the honor of hosting the last Mega Millions drawing of the month. What with it being the last day and all, someone claiming the prize or even a {2-1-1-1-1} three-peat would’ve been exciting ways to end the month with a bang. Of course, Mega Millions thought those were too predictable.

Let’s spice things up, it thought.

Let’s break through the clouds and start June with a massive $475 million jackpot!

Oh, and that {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern three-peat? Didn’t happen.

General Lottery Analysis

In lieu of a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern three-peat, Mega Millions threw at us the {2-2-1-1} Pattern. With winning numbers 7, 8, 26, 65, 67, and MB 4, this Pattern made its 133rd appearance.

Of the 467 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played 28.5% of the time and was last seen May 10, 2019.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order, now with 45 appearances, has played in 33.8% of the 133 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 9.64% of all 467 drawings.

Now with six appearances, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order has played in 13.3% of the 45 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 4.51% of the 133 drawings where {2-1-2-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 467 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 1.28% of the time.

Prior to Friday night, both the [2-1-2-1] General Order and the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order played March 29, 2019.

Three-Number Combination(s)

As if the crazy-large jackpot weren’t enough, there was a lone repeating Three-Number Combination!

This Combination made its debut in the June 16, 2015 drawing.

The prize in Mega Millions will not go down easily! Tuesday night could be the night that the players bring the beast back down to size or become witness to another growth spurt. With {2-1-2-1} being the second-most common Pattern, could an encore also be in the cards?
