The Holiday Pattern Shift

The shift into Christmas doesn’t just mean a shift in holidays; a change of seasons is also afoot. In our neck of the woods, fall is falling by the wayside and winter is starting to make a stake, even if it doesn’t necessarily feel like winter outside. Just as Mother Nature does what she wants, lotteries also have a way of doing things.

Mega Millions decided to shake things up Tuesday night. Instead of continuing the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak, November 30, 2021 saw another Pattern go up to bat. This sent the jackpot up to $112 million.

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 7, 8, 26, 30, 39 and MB 17, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 203rd appearance.

There have now been 728 Mega Millions drawings, and this Pattern has now played 27.9% of the time. We last saw the {2-2-1-1} Pattern November 9, 2021.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order, now with 64 appearances, has played in 31.5% of the 203 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 728 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 8.79% of the time. November 2, 2021 was the last time the [2-1-2-1] General Order played.

Now with seven appearances, the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 10.9% of the 64 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 3.45% of the 203 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.96% of all 728 drawings. Prior to Tuesday night, the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order played October 5, 2021.

Three-Number Combinations

A quartet of repeating Three-Number Combinations hit the scene:

Funny enough, the winning numbers for May 11, 2021 were 7, 8, 20, 36, 39 and MB 22. It was almost as if for Tuesday night, the last two digits were switched on the middle two numbers. That is, instead of 20 and 36, we saw 26 and 30.

Will the {2-1-2-1} Pattern return Friday night?
