Lotto Texas and Powerball See Green

Green is a color packed with a variety of meanings. One can be green with envy, or “go green” to help protect the environment. Green is also associated with luck, money, and St. Patrick’s Day.

For March 17, 2021, Lotto Texas and Powerball turned many faces green. One would be sickened if they missed out on winning millions of dollars! Yet, each lottery’s pot got much greener. Lotto Texas rose to $7.5 million, and Powerball hit the $200 million mark.

The Saturday Night Double Encore Madness

To everyone reading from the U.S. or Canada: Did you remember to spring forward?

(not applicable in Hawaii or Arizona)

Spring is on the horizon! The days are getting longer, Spring Break is here, and the wind is starting to pick up (perfect kite-flying weather!). With the transitioning of seasons, that means storms are brewing. And it just so happens that lotteries have their own storms. Rather than being the victims of such, they generate them.

Lotto Texas and Powerball got caught up in a whirlwind of their own making. March 13, 2021 was a night of not one, but two Pattern encores! Those encores granted a boost to their jackpots in the week ahead. Lotto Texas rose to $7.25 million, and Powerball climbed to $184 million.

Will next week see a three-peat for the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern?

It’s a (Repeating) Combinations Thang

Yes, you read that right. Thang! Lotteries may just be made up of a set of numbers that humans draw, but sometimes you have to wonder if they’ve got minds of their own. A Pattern streak, or better yet, a Pattern that’s rarely played? They just do it.

But what happens when both Lotto Texas and Powerball gift the world with repeating Four and Three-Number Combinations, respectively? The answer, of course, is that “It depends”, but for March 10, 2021, it meant the dreams of (early) retirement being deferred for millions. The plus side in all this is that Lotto Texas graciously climbed to $7 million, and Powerball jumped to $169 million.

The Clever {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern

Mega Millions’ {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern is a magnificent one indeed! This Pattern is the most commonly played, getting boosts from Pattern encores and Pattern streaks. Even without these, this Pattern is never gone for long.

And, as March 9, 2021 showed, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern is also a busy one. There was no encore, as this Pattern didn’t play at all the previous week. It employed other methods to boost the jackpot to $79 million.

1001 Lottery Nights

This post is a tale about Lotto Texas and Powerball, two lotteries that couldn’t be any more different. Lotto Texas is the quieter, statelier lottery. Its prizes are often kept in a respectable range. Powerball is brash, in-your-face, and sometimes resorts to extreme measures to get attention.

Yet, despite these differences, both lotteries had one thing in common this past Saturday night: rising jackpots. March 6, 2021 saw the prize in Lotto Texas rise to $6.75 million, and Powerball jumped up to $155 million.

Mega Millions and the 1000th Lottery Binge

Lotto Texas and Powerball Marching Onward

March has arrived for Lotto Texas and Powerball, and things are looking green. We don’t just mean grass peeking out from melting snow, either! What better way to say hello to the transitioning seasons than with a lottery? After all, with the kinds of prizes that are available, you can move to a place that’s not so cold.

The lotteries had other plans March 3, 2021. All those who dreamed of moving to warmer climates with their lottery winnings will have to wait another time. The silver lining, of course, was the rise in the jackpots. Lotto Texas ascended to $6.5 million, and Powerball received a boost to $138 million.
