Friday Night Date with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern

You’d think that with Mega Millions having a drawing on Groundhog Day that there’d be a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore. A “Groundhog Week”, for lack of a better term. Other plans were to be had for February 5, 2021. Mega Millions broke it off with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, which led to the jackpot rising to $68 million and a basket of repeating Combinations. That’s Combinations of both the Three-Number and Four-Number kind!

General Lottery Analysis

Mega Millions opted for the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 14, 17, 28, 29, 44 and MB 2. This Pattern has now played 281 times.

There have now been 643 Mega Millions drawings, and this Pattern has played 43.7% of the time. We last saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in the New Year’s Day 2021 drawing.

The [1-2-1-1-1] General Order, now with 66 appearances, has played in 23.5% of the 281 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 643 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played in 10.3% of all 643 drawings. Prior to Friday night, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order played December 29, 2020.

Now with 12 appearances, the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 18.1% of the 66 drawings where the General Order was [1-2-1-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 4.27% of the 281 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.87% of all 643 drawings. The 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order was last seen July 21, 2020.

Four-Number Combination

Repeating Four-Number Combination 14, 17, 28 and MB 2 debuted April 26, 2016.

Three-Number Combinations

What happens if you drop a repeating Four-Number Combination from really high up? You get four repeating Three-Number Combinations, that’s what!

These Combinations debuted in the earlier-mentioned April 26th drawing. There were two other repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 14, 44, MB 2 (Debuted May 12, 2015)
  • 14, 29, MB 2 (Debuted November 19, 2013)
