This post is a tale about Lotto Texas and Powerball, two lotteries that couldn’t be any more different. Lotto Texas is the quieter, statelier lottery. Its prizes are often kept in a respectable range. Powerball is brash, in-your-face, and sometimes resorts to extreme measures to get attention.

Yet, despite these differences, both lotteries had one thing in common this past Saturday night: rising jackpots. March 6, 2021 saw the prize in Lotto Texas rise to $6.75 million, and Powerball jumped up to $155 million.

General Lottery Analysis

An Australia Play was the order of the evening. With winning numbers 13, 15, 19, 24, 38 and 41, both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order made their 253^rd appearance.

There have now been 1844 Lotto Texas drawings, and an Australia Play has been featured 13.7% of the time. One was seen hopping about in the February 27, 2021 drawing.

Four-Number Combinations

No repeating Four-Number Combinations were spotted this time around.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 216^th appearance with winning numbers 11, 31, 50, 52, 58 and PB 18.

There have now been 566 Powerball drawings, and this Pattern has played 38.2% of the time.

The [1-1-2-1-1] General Order, now with 45 appearances, has played in 20.8% of the 216 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 566 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 7.95% of the time.

Prior to Saturday night, both the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern and the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order played February 27, 2021.

Now with 13 appearances, the 1 0 1 2 1 1 Specific Order has played in 28.9% of the 45 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-2-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 6.02% of the 216 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 2.30% of the 566 drawings. The 1 0 1 2 1 1 Specific Order was last seen February 24, 2021.

Three-Number Combinations  

Saturday night featured two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

• 31, 52, PB 18 (Debuted February 27, 2021)
• 11, 58, PB 18 (Debuted November 24, 2018)

February 27^th was only a week ago, but it had a lingering effect on both lotteries. Another tale awaits Lotto Texas and Powerball Wednesday night. One must wonder if either one will see a Pattern encore.
