Getting Comfortable with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern

On March 16, 2021, a certain Pattern set up shop. Yes, the ever-charming {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, having already played twice in a row, made another appearance! With this three-peat came the Mega Millions jackpot crossing the $100 million threshold, having climbed to a robust $105 million.

General Lottery Analysis

There have now been 654 Mega Millions drawings, and this Pattern has played in 43.7% of them. We last saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern March 12, 2021.

The [1-1-2-1-1] General Order, now with 85 appearances, has played in 29.7% of the 286 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 654 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 13% of the time.

Now with 21 appearances, the 1 0 1 2 1 1 Specific Order has played in 24.7% of the 85 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-2-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 7.34% of the 286 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 3.21% of all 654 drawings.

Prior to Tuesday night, both the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order and the 1 0 1 2 1 1 Specific Order played February 16, 2021.

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations Tuesday night.

Will Mega Millions hold on to the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern for at least another night, or will another Pattern rise up?
