September’s Seismic Shift

Great changes came about in the lottery world Saturday night. Lotto Texas, lest it start to think too highly of itself, was knocked back down to earth. Naturally, the jackpot reset to $5 million. The greatest shift was in Powerball. Out of the madness of an Australia Play came a similar spread, an entourage of repeating Three-Number Combinations, and a jackpot that grew to $238 million.

Four-Number Combinations

Having been forced to reset the jackpot left Lotto Texas in no mood for repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Powerball decided to take a cue from Lotto Texas with an Australia Play of its own. Thanks to 5, 25, 36, 51, 61 and PB 1, the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and the 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order made their 48th appearance.

Similar Spread

“Grand” best described September 17th’s Australia Play, and what better demonstration than a similar spread? Saturday night’s numbers had a spread of 20:11:15:10. Similarly, the September 2, 2017 drawing had a spread of 15:20:11:10. That night, the winning numbers were 6, 21, 41, 52, 62 and PB 26. Although the differences between numbers were the same, the orders in which the numbers played, and the numbers themselves, were different.

Three-Number Combinations

All right, all right, there was another grand event that came from Saturday night’s Australia Play. Can you say four repeating Three-Number Combinations?
