Pre-Super Bowl Playbacks

Ah, the Super Bowl. The teams, the commercials, the over-the-top halftime shows, truly (pigskin) football is the real American pastime. As Lottery Trend Country was getting ready for the Super Bowl, things were not quiet on the lottery front. The theme for February 3rd was “Playback”, and both Lotto Texas and Powerball delivered the goods.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The Australia Play is the ultimate playback. Both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order made their 208th appearances, with winning numbers 3, 12, 24, 29, 38, and 50.

Now that there have been 1522 Lotto Texas drawings, Australia Plays have occurred 13.7% of the time. We last saw one in the January 20th, 2018 drawing.

An Australia Play is a playback. However, a playback isn’t always an Australia Play.

The [3-2-1] General Order, now with five appearances, has played in 33.3% of the 15 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 244 drawings, this General Order has played 2.05% of the time.

Now with two appearances, the 0 3 0 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 40% of the five drawings where [3-2-1] was the General Order of the evening. This statistic becomes 13.3% when taking the 15 drawings where {3-2-1} played into account. Finally, when looking at all 244 drawings, this Specific Order has played 0.82% of the time.

The {3-2-1} Pattern, the [3-2-1] General Order, and the 0 3 0 2 0 1 Specific Order previously played in the January 27th, 2018 drawing.

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will there be more playbacks and Australia Plays in the week ahead?

An Encore for Groundhog Day

In our last Mega Millions post, we asked if a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore would start off February. Well, Mega Millions delivered Friday night. February 2nd also took on another meaning here in the States: Groundhog Day. Our focus of course is on that Pattern encore, and it wasn’t the only big thing that happened.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 65th appearance, with winning numbers 1, 14, 14, 17, 40, and MB 4.

With 329 Mega Millions drawings so far, this Pattern has played 19.8% of the time.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern wasn’t the only thing that saw an encore Friday night! Now with 22 appearances, the [3-1-1-1] General Order has now played in 33.8% of the 65 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 329 drawings, this General Order has played 6.69% of the time.

We now come to the 3 1 1 0 0 1 Specific Order, which has now played three times. Given the 22 drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, this Specific Order has played 13.6% of the time. Looking at the 65 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern, the Specific Order has played in 4.62% of them. Finally, when taking all 329 drawings into account, this Specific Order has played 0.91% of the time. Unlike the [3-1-1-1] General Order and the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, the 3 1 1 0 0 1 Specific Order did not make an encore. Prior to Friday night, this Specific Order was last seen in the May 19th, 2017 drawing. This was reconfigured from the 3 2 0 0 0 1 Specific Order seen that night.

Three Number Combination(s)

The lone repeating Three-Number Combination of the evening was 4, 17, 40.

This Combination made its debut in the July 15th, 2014 drawing.

Will next week lead to the establishment of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern streak, or will another Pattern take the reins?

Super Blue Lotteries

January 31st was more than just the last day of the month. A Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse could be seen in North America, Australia, and parts of East Asia. If you’re an eclipse enthusiast who missed it, YouTube has videos aplenty. Meanwhile, Lottery Trend headquarters saw a commonality between Lotto Texas and Powerball.

Will either the {3-2-1} Pattern or the {3-1-1-1} Pattern (or both) make an encore?

{3-1-1-1} Pattern + (Repeating) Combinations = A Decent Finish

Last month, Mega Millions ended the way it started. That is, the Pattern that kicked off December was also the last Pattern. This was appropriate, seeing as the year was ending. Nothing better than sending the year off with a bang, right? That sort of thing should carry on right into the new year, yeah?

To fit the “drab” mood oft associated with January after New Year’s in our part of the world, Mega Millions didn’t end the month with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which played January 2nd. That would’ve been something: A Pattern encore and ending January the way it started! Instead, the January 30th drawing provided something a bit more “Combination-y”.

General Lottery Analysis

The 64th appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern was marked by winning numbers 29, 41, 42, 49, 57 and MB 24.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order, now with 21 appearances, has played in roughly 32.8% of the 64 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 6.40% of all 328 drawings. Prior to Tuesday night, the [3-1-1-1] General Order played on July 7th, 2017. Note that this is 21 appearances under the 70-25 system.

Now with two appearances, the 0 0 3 1 1 1 Specific Order has played in 9.52% of the 21 drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 3.125% of the 64 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the Pattern of the evening. Finally, when taking all 328 drawings into account, this Specific Order has played 0.61% of the time. The 0 0 3 1 1 1 Specific Order was last seen in the June 14th, 2016 drawing.

Three Number Combination(s)

The two repeating Three-Number Combinations were

  • 41, 42, 57 (Debuted November 8th, 2013)

Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern go for the encore and start off February?

Saturday Belonged to the Playback

Here at Lottery Binge, we don’t just cover the winning numbers. For nearly two years, we’ve brought the scoop on Pattern streaks, and some of the madness beneath them. One such element is the playback. For our new readers, or for our readers who need a refresher, a playback occurs when the Pattern, General Order (not applicable to Lotto Texas), and Specific Order have appeared together in a previous lottery drawing. Lotto Texas delivered on Saturday night, and Powerball came close.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 6, 9, 12, 17, 20, and 23, the {4-2} Pattern made its 169th appearance in the January 27th drawing.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern made its 14th appearance with winning numbers 17, 21, 26, 47, 54, and PB 7. Note that unlike the {3-2-1} Pattern in Lotto Texas, this {3-2-1} Pattern is not common here.

{3-2-1} in Powerball has a different meaning. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 242 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 5.79% of them.

With four appearances, the [3-2-1] General Order has played in 28.6% of the 14 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 242 drawings, this Pattern has played 1.65% of the time.

Both the {3-2-1} Pattern and the [3-2-1] General Order were last seen in the November 29th, 2017.

What kept Powerball from seeing a playback was the debut of the 0 3 0 2 0 1 Specific Order. This Specific Order has now played in 25% of the four drawings where the [3-2-1] General Order has appeared. When looking at the 14 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, this Specific Order has played 7.14% of the time. Finally, when looking at all 242 drawings, the 0 3 0 2 0 1 Specific Order has played 0.41% of the time.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The debut of a Specific Order was sufficient enough for Powerball in the “big play” department. There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will either Lotto Texas or Powerball end the month with a Pattern encore or even a playback?

A Chill for Mega Millions?

Things looked to be heating up in Mega Millions over the past few drawings. With a Pattern three-peat, and repeating Three-Number Combinations, it looked to be a scorcher. A change of course took place on January 26th. Compared to what we saw recently, Friday night’s drawing left us feeling a little cooler.

General Lottery Analysis

This Specific Order was reconfigured from the 2 1 1 1 0 1 Specific Order seen that night.

Three Number Combination(s)

A lack of repeating Three-Number Combinations is one way to chill things down.

Will Mega Millions end the month with a bang in Tuesday’s drawing?

A Little Bit Warmer Now

A Thaw-some Play

Yes, it’s still winter here in Lottery Trend Country. No, it’s not as cold. In fact, things heated up in the January 23rd Mega Millions drawing. We’re going to start with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak.

Warming Up with Mega Millions

After starting the week with a winter storm, we come now to a January thaw. Right now, at Lottery Trend headquarters, all the ice has gone and we’re receiving “regular” rain. We’re not meteorologists, so we’ll leave predicting the weather to the professionals. What we can do is let everyone know that Mega Millions kicked off the weekend with a Pattern three-peat.
