With Luck, a Common Pattern

This Friday was another one of those Fridays. Yes, we’re talking about Friday the 13th! Whether you decided to take extra precautions that day (We won’t judge) or treated it like an ordinary day, one thing was constant. Mega Millions.

Why would Mega Millions change up its plans, all because humans decided a certain number that fell on a certain day was somehow unlucky? That evening was just as good as any other evening to stir up trouble, and Mega Millions did so with a commonly played Pattern. And, with a little extra help, that pushed the jackpot to $112 million.

General Lottery Analysis

May 13, 2022 saw the 331st appearance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. The winning numbers were 11, 41, 43, 44, 65 and MB 13.

Three-Number Combinations

The “extra help” was in the form of two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 11, 41, 44 (Debuted August 26, 2016)
  • 41, 65, MB 13 (Debuted December 10, 2013)

Is a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore in store for Tuesday night?
