The Small and the Mighty

What may be popular in one lottery may not be popular in another. Take the {3-2-1} Pattern for instance. This Pattern rules Lotto Texas, but that’s not so for Mega Millions. In fact, this Pattern is one of the least played over there. However, when the {3-2-1} Pattern does get a chance to play, it leaves a lasting impression!

A lasting impression was certainly made Tuesday night, with the jackpot rising to $410 million, and much more.

The Saturday Night Combination Scene

As people are busy living it up on Saturday nights, Lotto Texas and Powerball go about “combinationing”. The act of “combinationing” involves presenting repeating Three or Four-Number Combinations to the world. As of late, Saturday nights have been a boon for the Combination scene, and the October 1, 2022 scene was poppin’!  

Both lotteries got in on the combination scene Saturday night. Would you believe that it was Lotto Texas that had the biggest display? This was in addition to a Pattern encore that pushed the jackpot to $6.5 million. Powerball was no slouch, either. A lack of a Pattern encore was no deterrent for the jackpot rising to $336 million.

In Mega Millions, the last week of September belonged to the {2-2-1-1} Pattern. This mini streak began the previous Friday. From then on, it showed up in this past Tuesday’s drawing and then once more September 30, 2022. The {2-2-1-1} Pattern three-peat also pushed the jackpot to $380 million.

Some snacks are notoriously addictive. Take Oreos for instance. You rip open the top of the pack and take one out. Mega  Millions had the honor of being the first lottery to play in the Fall 2022 season. Friday night featured an appearance by the {2-2-1-1} Pattern. Said fans, and everyone else, will be happy to know this Pattern encore pushed the jackpot to an astonishing $355 million.

With a new season in full swing, and two lotteries at play, there were two different approaches to Saturday night’s drawings. One lottery stuck with a Pattern that was featured mid-week. Meanwhile, the other lottery thought a new Pattern was a more fitting start to the season. All things considered, Lotto Texas and Powerball were pleased as punch to see their respective jackpots grow to $5.75 million and $285 million.

Lotto Texas and Powerball read each other’s minds earlier this week. On Monday night, both lotteries played host to an Australia Play. Yes, two Australia Plays in one night! Come Wednesday night, Lotto Texas and Powerball took to different strategies to boost their jackpots. One stuck with the Australia Play, and the other opted for another Pattern. Both strategies proved effective, as Lotto Texas’s jackpot settled into $5.5 million, and Powerball’s bounded to $270 million.
