Some Lotteries Like to Spread Out

After a month of going nuts over repeating Combinations, Lotto Texas and Powerball may going for another approach. That approach, dear readers, is the art of the spread.

December may have just started, but there were hints of change this past Wednesday night. A similar approach happened Saturday night for one lottery while the other went with repeating Combinations. Regardless of approach, both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their respective jackpots grow to $19 million and $89 million.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The Australia Play returned for the December 3, 2022 Lotto Texas drawing with winning numbers 13, 15, 22, 32, 44 and 45. Both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order have played 295 times.

Not gone for long, this Australia Play! Source: lotterytrend.com

An Australia Play has been featured in 14.1% of the 2093 Lotto Texas drawings and was last seen November 23, 2022.

Similar Spread

Lotto Texas mastered the exact art of a spread earlier in the week. Although that wasn’t present Saturday night, something similar did take place. Saturday’s winning numbers had a spread of 02:07:10:12:01. Similarly, the winning numbers from March 8, 2014, 18, 25, 35, 47, 49 and 50, had a spread of 07:10:12:02:01. With a similar spread, the differences between numbers played are the same, but their orders (and numbers played) are different.

Four-Number Combinations

There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations Saturday night.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

For Powerball, Saturday night’s drawing meant the 52nd appearance of the {3-2-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 6, 13, 33, 36, 37 and PB 7.

A nice trio! Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Both Lotto Texas and Powerball’s jackpots continue to soar, and the art of the spread seems to be making headway. Still, it’s early yet. We’ll have to see if more similar and/or exact spreads are in the cards for these lotteries, or if they’ll abandon them like fruitcake.

The Exact Art of a Spread

November was the month repeating Combinations reigned supreme. As the month concluded, one would have expected either Lotto Texas or Powerball to take it down a notch. Instead, one of the lotteries opted for an exact spread, and there were more repeating Combinations! Additionally, the jackpots climbed once more, with Lotto Texas growing to $18.75 million and Powerball $81 million.

The Holiday Season has begun, fans! You can definitely expect some surprises. This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe.

Recuperation

In the lead-up to Thanksgiving, both Lotto Texas and Powerball went crazy for repeating Combinations. The day before Thanksgiving had a record 17 repeating Combinations! Saturday night was much different. The lotteries figured that too many Combinations in such a short amount of time wasn’t going to be good for them in the long run. Instead, they spent the night too tired (and stuffed) to do much of anything. However, there was just enough energy to keep the players from claiming the jackpots. Lotto Texas held strong at $17.25 million, and the Powerball prize pushed onward to $56 million.

We are, of course, now in the Christmas season. Inquiring minds want to know what shenanigans these lotteries will be up to in the coming weeks. Are more nights with a glut of repeating Combinations on tap, or will they have something else up their sleeves?

With a beast of a jackpot and the momentum of repeating Three-Number Combinations, Mega Millions is heading into the Christmas season full speed ahead! How long will the jackpot growth and the repeating Combination feast continue?

The Stuffening

Thanksgiving in the US has the misfortune of being overshadowed by both Halloween and Christmas. Right after the scares and candy come the Christmas decorations, the songs, the sales, we could go on. Given how pervasive Christmas is, no one would blame you if you didn’t know, or forgot*, that American Thanksgiving is in November. Perhaps Lotto Texas and Powerball can help with that.

*To our US readers: Be honest. How many of you have forgotten at least once about Thanksgiving?

Ever since this past weekend, both lotteries have engorged themselves on repeating Combinations. On Saturday, Powerball saw two repeating Four-Number Combinations, a rarity for this lottery, and Lotto Texas was the talk of the town Monday night with a repeating Five-Number Combination. The night of November 23, 2022 was a feast of Combinations!

Another repeating Five-Number Combination was spotted in Lotto Texas, and Powerball helped itself once again to two repeating Four-Number Combinations! Amidst the madness, the Lotto Texas jackpot grew to $16.75 million, and Powerball’s jackpot grew to $48 million.
