The Jackpots Climb-eth

Not that long ago, the Powerball jackpot briefly surpassed $1 billion. Shortly after, it was brought back down to earth. Saturday night was more proof of the jackpot’s swift recovery, as the jackpot grew to $145 million!

Lotto Texas, ever the poised one, grew to $14.25 million. Although far and away from $1 billion, this lottery was confident in the fact that few would turn their noses up at trying to win.

However, there was one question these lotteries asked themselves: “Should I play another similar spread?” One lottery opted to go for it, while the other was content to play repeating Combinations. Regardless, Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their respective jackpots climb to $11.75 million and $74 million.

Powerball’s behemoth of a jackpot was sustained for several months with assists from a variety of plays, watered with the tears of frustration and anger from millions who sought to improve their financial situations. Another billion-dollar jackpot run came to an end July 19, 2023, forcing Powerball to reset to $20 million.

The night of July 19th was also beneficial to Lotto Texas’s jackpot. As everyone else went to surround the fallen prize next door, this lottery’s jackpot rose quietly to $9.25 million.
