Hopping Beyond $200 Million

Mega Millions crossed the $200 million threshold, and it took nearly two months to do it! Thanks to a little help from an Australia Play, Mega Millions got a hop in its step and leaped to $211 million.

That means the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order have now played 16 times. Given that there have been 498 Mega Millions drawings so far, an Australia Play has been present for 3.21% of them. We last saw one of these in the August 23rd, 2019 drawing.

We’re halfway through September and Mega Millions has entered crazy-rich territory. Will the jackpot continue to rise through the rest of the month?

No Luck with Mega Millions

Luck is said to be when preparation meets opportunity. Although Mega Millions players prepared with their tickets bought and numbers selected, the opportunity to win the grand prize didn’t arrive. Having the drawing fall on Friday the 13th didn’t help the triskadekaphiles, either. No jackpot winner meant another opportunity to try again next week. The prize rose to $192 million.

This Pattern has now played in 44.3% of the 497 Mega Millions drawings and was last seen August 27, 2019.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, now with 51 appearances, has played in 23.2% of the 220 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 497 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 10.3% of the time. Prior to Friday night, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order played August 6, 2019.

Now with 11 appearances, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has played in 21.6% of the 51 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 5% of the 220 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 2.21% of all 497 drawings. The 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order was last seen January 22, 2019.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The lack of repeating Three-Number Combinations continued into Friday night.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern’s appearance knocked out the chance for a {4-1-1} encore. Still, this is the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, one that doesn’t really shy away from Pattern streaks. Could an encore be in store for Tuesday night?

The Twelve Lives of {4-1-1}

After an eventful Friday, Mega Millions took it down a notch for the September 10th, 2019 drawing. Subtlety was the name of the game, as this lottery opted for an uncommon Pattern. The result was a prize that climbed to a robust $172 million.

Prior to Tuesday night, both the {4-1-1} Pattern and the [1-4-1] General Order played May 14th, 2019.

Tuesday night saw the debut of the  0 0 1 4 0 1 Specific Order! This Specific Order has now played in roughly 16.67% of the six drawings where the General Order was [1-4-1] and in roughly 8.33% of the 12 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 496 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 0.20% of the time.

Three-Number Combination(s)

To keep with the theme of subtlety, there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Could the {4-1-1} Pattern be bold enough to make an encore Friday night?

Things You Can Do with a Mega Millions

Although school is back in session and many outdoor pools are closed, there are still a few weeks of summer left, technically speaking. It’ll be a while yet before those crisp nights come rolling in and the autumn fashion comes out. Nothing wrong with enjoying a pumpkin spice latte in shorts, right?

Mega Millions reflected the weather; there was no cool down in the September 6, 2019 drawing. Now, it didn’t see another repeating Four-Number Combination, but there were repeating Three-Number Combinations. Five of them. The aftermath, of course, was a jackpot that climbed to $154 million.

Once all 495 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 1.21% of the time. We last saw the 3 1 1 0 0 1 Specific Order in the August 10, 2018 drawing.

End of Summer Surprises

Hello, Lotterytrend fans! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris giving you the latest lottery updates. As Summer came to an end, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made an appearance along with a rare repeat of a Four-Number Combination. And now the details.

Last night on September 3, 2019, the winning numbers for Megamillions were 13, 20, 27, 61, 62 and MB:5.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 138th appearance and has played in 27.94% of all 494 drawings. It last played on August 16, 2019.

Megamillions not only experienced repeats in Three-Number Combinations, but, as mentioned earlier, a rare repeat in a Four-Number Combination as well:

Four Number Combination:

The Four-Number combination (as seen above) repeat resulted in four Three-Number combinations that also played on December 21, 2018:

  • 61, 62, and MB 5.  *Occurred earlier on October 26, 2018.
  • 13, 62, and MB 5.
  • 13, 61, and MB 5.
  • 13, 61, and 62.

The other Three-Number Combination is:

  • 20, 27, and MB5 that played on May 6, 2014.

Mega Millions’ Streak-less Sendoff

A Pattern streak would’ve been an impactful way to end August. After all, this is the (unofficial) last weekend of summer. What better way to kick off the Labo(u)r Day weekend than a Pattern streak?

Mega Millions had other plans in the August 30th, 2019 drawing. Instead of a Pattern streak, or even an encore, it went with an uncommonly played Pattern. This had the effect of propelling the prize to $137 million.

Autumn is right around the corner. That means pumpkin spice lattes and…Halloween. That Mega Millions prize is a robust size. Will it achieve a beastly size come September’s end or will it be mowed down?

Four X 3 (Number Combination)

In an amazing twist of events, Mega Millions was host to a special repeating Three-Number Combination. So special, in fact, that it played four (yes, four) times! First things first, though: We need to discuss the actual August 27th, 2019 drawing. Tuesday night didn’t produce an Australia Play encore this time. However, there was a rising jackpot. No grand prize winner meant a prize that climbed to $113 million.

The last August Mega Millions drawing will be held this Friday. We’ve passed the window for a Pattern streak to end the month, but could a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore be in the works?

August-Flavored Australia Play

August is almost over and it has been anything but boring for Mega Millions. As the schools opened their doors once again, things continued to get wild in the lottery world. There was a shakeup for Mega Millions in the August 23, 2019 drawing and the prize leapt up to $103 million.

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 11, 15, 37, 54, 68, and MB 21, the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order made their 15th appearance.

Although this was a short post, Friday night packed a lot of punch! Will the last week of August be a blowout for Mega Millions, or will it take time to chill out?

{2-1-1-1-1} Pattern: Take 3 (Also known as Tuesday)

An interesting phenomenon has taken place this August. No, we’re not talking about the Perseid Meteor Showers. This phenomenon is only noticeable when the hood is popped open.

The August 20, 2019 Mega Millions drawing played host to an unusual “three-peat”. This term is normally reserved for whenever a Pattern plays three times in a row. So far this month, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played every Tuesday! What moved it to claim Tuesdays in August is anyone’s guess. All we know is that the prize rose once more to $90 million.
