Saturday Night Boomerang

As August begins to fade into September, the summer holidays are over, or will be soon enough. With another summer coming and going, there are a couple of things that won’t fade away on a schedule. Jackpots! Then again, why should they? Jackpots aren’t affected all that much by human affairs, unless of course you consider adding another day their lotteries have drawings.

Nevertheless, the week ended the way it started. August 28, 2021 featured a playback for one lottery and a Pattern three-peat for the other, which only fed into their ever-growing jackpots. As Lotto Texas and Powerball psyched themselves up for September (there’s still one more August drawing to go), their respective jackpots grew to $13.25 million and $332 million.

Will Monday’s drawing solidify a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak in Powerball, and will the jackpots rise into September?

Lotto Texas and Powerball’s Winds of Change

Change, whether we like it or not, is inevitable. For better or worse, change adds variety and keep things from getting stale. One notable change was the addition of Monday nights for Lotto Texas and Powerball. August 25, 2021 had these lotteries even more fired up than they were on Monday. One lottery was so fired up that its Pattern saw an encore! When the dust cleared, the jackpots climbed to $13 million for Lotto Texas and $322 million for Powerball.

Mega Millions Spreads Out

Some spreads are nicer than others. Bedspreads add a layer of finesse to freshly made beds. Jellies and jams can help mask the toast that got burnt (again). Mega Millions has no need for beds or strawberry jam, but it does like spreads. All while this lottery engages in its love-hate relationship with the players, a similar spread does pop up once in a while. August 17, 2021 was one of those “once in a while” occasions. That and a playback cut short pushed the jackpot to $256 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 301st appearance with winning numbers 3, 6, 16, 38, 56 and MB 24.

Growing Jackpots Are Happy Jackpots

August 14, 2021 marked the end of the {3-2-1} Pattern streak in Lotto Texas. History has shown us that Pattern streaks aren’t necessary in boosting jackpots, and Saturday night proved history right.

An Australia Play was responsible for keeping the Lotto Texas jackpot above $10 million. So much so, in fact, that the prize grew to $11.25 million. Meanwhile, Powerball’s jackpot grew to a fat and happy $274 million.

Will the jackpots continue to grow through the week ahead?

Sticking with the Tried and True

The theme for August 4, 2021 was “Repeat”. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw at least one repeating Four-Number Combination and one repeating Three-Number Combination, respectively. More importantly, they fell into a groove with their most common Patterns. Sticking with the tried and true brought a playback, a three-peat, and rising jackpots! Lotto Texas rose to $9.25 million, and Powerball crossed comfortably into the realm of $226 million.

Will Lotto Texas and Powerball hold on to their most common Patterns Saturday night?

The Golden Road to Millions

The lottery is a sport of a different kind. No hours of training are necessary, and you don’t need to stick to a strict diet as you would with other sports. All you need is a few dollars, a ticket, picking six numbers, and a strategy. Pick the right ones, and you’ll soar into a (hopefully) less stressful life.

Lotteries themselves, like Lotto Texas and Powerball, take part in games of their own. A favorite of theirs is playing “Keep Away”, also known as, “How to drive players mad whilst increasing the jackpot?” On July 31, 2021, they succeeded in giving their jackpots a boost. Lotto Texas soared to $9 million, and Powerball leapt past the $200 million line to $211 million.

Lotto Texas may not have a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern of its own, but it does have the {3-2-1} Pattern. This, of course, is Lotto Texas’s most commonly played Pattern, and it too is known for encores. Will we see more of both the {3-2-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern this week?

Mega Millions’ Pattern Persistence

“Persistence is key!”

“Perfect practice makes perfect!”

Whether it’s training for a track meet or simply taking up a new hobby, we’ve all heard the above phrases at one time or another. After all, you won’t see much improvement without consistency and practicing techniques correctly.

Mega Millions may not have mastered the art of “perfect practice”, but it has a way with persistence! Some Patterns have a way of showing up more often than others, and the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern fit the bill Friday night. This Pattern returned once more for the July 30, 2021 drawing and with it came another boost to the jackpot, blazing ahead to $179 million.

Mega Millions was in the grip of a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak the last time the Summer Olympics were taking place. Then, the Pattern played six times in a row. Is Mega Millions setting itself up to break this record in the drawings ahead?

Lotto Texas and Powerball’s Golden Opportunity

Playing the lottery is like a game of cat-and-mouse. Players are after the big bucks, and the lottery itself is avoiding capture for as long as possible. Although no one would turn their nose up at $50 million, just about everyone would salivate at the potential to win $200 million or even $1 billion!

A billion-dollar jackpot is a ways off. In any case, fortune smiled upon Lotto Texas and Powerball Wednesday night. That good fortune, of course, was not getting caught! This opened a golden opportunity to boost their jackpots and getting the players psyched up to try again. Lotto Texas clocked in at $8.75 million and Powerball at $199 million.

Will Saturday night see the return of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in Powerball, and could either lottery see a playback?

The Great Double Comeback

Special thanks to guest blogger Romulun Harris for filling in on short notice!

We’ll cut right to the chase: The July 27, 2021 Mega Millions drawing produced a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore. That in and of itself wasn’t too out of the ordinary. What made this encore noteworthy was that the Pattern didn’t go it alone. No, there wasn’t a playback, but a General Order, [1-2-1-1-1] in this case, joined in on the encore frenzy. No records were shattered, but the Pattern and General Order gave it their all and pushed the jackpot to $166 million.
