Mega Millions Warms Up to a Pattern Encore

At this time last week, we were doing all that we could to stay warm and were ever grateful the pipes didn’t burst. Now, the snow and ice has melted, and it feels more like spring. Even though calendar-wise it’s only a few weeks away, this warmth is much-welcomed.

Believe it or not, a warm-up took place in Mega Millions, albeit a different kind. The February 23, 2021 drawing saw this lottery stick with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. This gave the jackpot a boost to $30 million.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore was made possible by winning numbers 5, 7, 9, 20, 57 and MB 15. This Pattern has now played 125 times!

Three-Number Combinations

Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern stick around for Friday night’s drawing, or will Mega Millions have other plans?

Back to Your Regularly Scheduled Mega Millions

Mega Millions waits for no man, or no blog, rather. Instead of eating king cake, listening to zydeco, and bringing you the latest analysis, we, along with millions of others, were sitting in the dark and working to keep warm. Now that our power has been restored, it’s back to business.

One thing that can be said about the Mardi Gras 2021 drawing is that someone from New Jersey (Joisey!) won the coveted $96 million and the lottery’s jackpot reset itself to $20 million. A Pattern encore wasn’t in the cards February 19, 2021 but Friday night didn’t disappoint if you like rising jackpots! And who doesn’t? With no one matching the six winning numbers, the prize jumped to $22 million.

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 27, 32, 47, 50, 53 and MB 4, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 124th appearance.

Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern let the good times roll and come back for an encore Tuesday night?

3, 2, 1…and Combinations!

February 12, 2021 was a wild night for Mega Millions. For starters, it decided to go out on a date with one of its least commonly played Patterns. That sent players foaming at the mouth. However, the prize jumped to $96 million, so the foaming was short-lived.

The biggest draw of the evening was the appearance of six, yes six, repeating Three-Number Combinations! Was this by an assist from a repeating Four-Number Combo, or was it by something else? Let’s find out!

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern made its 31st appearance with winning numbers 5, 14, 24, 25, 27 and MB 14.

Came of their own free will! Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

These Combinations came about by their own merits. No repeating Four-Number Combination needed!

Given the history of Mega Millions’ {3-2-1} Pattern, it isn’t likely that they’ll be together Tuesday night. If 2020 is anything to go by, then anything is possible!

19 Days Later

It was 19 days ago that Mega Millions had a beast of a jackpot. The beast was struck down, and was forced to reset, naturally. Nearly three weeks have passed, and Mega Millions was as healthy as ever! No one was able to obtain the grand prize, which gave the jackpot a boost to $82 million.

It’ll be a while yet before we see another monster jackpot in Mega Millions. In the meantime, let’s focus on the immediate future, like the fate of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern for example. Will the Pattern make an encore Friday night?

Friday Night Date with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern

You’d think that with Mega Millions having a drawing on Groundhog Day that there’d be a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore. A “Groundhog Week”, for lack of a better term. Other plans were to be had for February 5, 2021. Mega Millions broke it off with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, which led to the jackpot rising to $68 million and a basket of repeating Combinations. That’s Combinations of both the Three-Number and Four-Number kind!

Will it be the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern that goes off to make an encore appearance?

Groundhog Day, Mega Millions Style

Groundhog Day, the one day where we let an animal predict the weather (not really)! Legend has it that when a groundhog sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter will be upon us. Otherwise, we can look forward to an early spring! It’s also a movie where Bill Murray plays a guy stuck in a loop where he’s reliving, you guessed it, Groundhog Day.

Mega Millions didn’t see its shadow, but it did see a Pattern encore! And, with no one picking the six winning numbers, the jackpot climbed to $54 million.

Mega Millions and the Combination Octet

It was just one week ago that someone won the billion-dollar jackpot. In the week since then, Mega Millions was resting. The jackpot continued to rise but without many appearances of repeating Three or even Four-Number Combinations. That changed January 29, 2021. Not only did such Combinations come about, but the jackpot also rose to $42 million.

Mega Millions Dusts Off

In case you haven’t heard, the beastly Mega Millions jackpot was struck down this past Friday. Someone from Michigan came out very wealthy!

The natural order, of course, is for the jackpot to reset. It’s also the natural order for the jackpot to climb back up and get knocked down again, as it were.

After being dealt a powerful blow, Mega Millions had the strength to get back up again. With none of the players picking the six winning numbers, the prize grew to $25 million. Not nearly as high as one billion dollars, but it’s definitely a hearty prize!

From Michigan, a Mega Millions (Jackpot) Slayer

Mega Millions had a good run. From September to January, the jackpot was nourished by the tears, anguish, and profanities of frustrated players. Then, on January 22, 2021, a lone player from Michigan looked that lottery dead in the eye and won that billion-dollar jackpot. Naturally, the prize reset itself to $20 million.
