It was just one week ago that someone won the billion-dollar jackpot. In the week since then, Mega Millions was resting. The jackpot continued to rise but without many appearances of repeating Three or even Four-Number Combinations. That changed January 29, 2021. Not only did such Combinations come about, but the jackpot also rose to $42 million.
General Lottery Analysis
With winning numbers 4, 44, 58, 59, 70 and MB 3, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 122nd appearance.

There have now been 641 Mega Millions drawings, and this Pattern has played 19% of the time. Prior to Friday night, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern played January 19, 2021.
The [1-1-3-1] General Order, now with 35 appearances, has played in 28.7% of the 122 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 641 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 5.46% of the time. We last saw the [1-1-3-1] General Order November 3, 2020.
Now with five appearances, the 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order has played in 14.3% of the 35 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-3-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 4.10% of the 122 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.78% of all 641 drawings. The 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order was last seen November 7, 2017.
Four-Number Combination
A repeating Four-Number Combination surfaced Friday night in the form of 4, 44, 70 and MB 3!

This Combination debuted August 7, 2020.
Three-Number Combinations
Of course, when you cut open a repeating Four-Number Combination, four repeating Three-Number Combinations tumble out:
- 4, 44, 70
- 4, 44, MB 3
- 44, 70, MB 3
- 4, 70 , MB 3

These Combinations debuted in the earlier-mentioned August 7th drawing.
These weren’t the only repeating Three-Number Combinations! Three more decided to make an appearance:
- 44, 58, MB 3 (Debuted March 17, 2015)
- 44, 59, MB 3 (Debuted December 3, 2013)
- 58, 70, MB 3 (Debuted March 27, 2015)
