That Spreading Feeling

Looks like Mega Millions started a trend! In our Mega Millions post earlier this week, we covered a similar spread. The urge to push out a similar spread was present for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Similar spreads weren’t the only similarity these lotteries had! April 5, 2023 was another night of rising jackpots. Rocksteady Lotto Texas grew to $63.25 million, and Powerball’s jackpot grew to $186 million.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Wednesday night’s winning numbers were 27, 28, 30, 36, 46 and 51. This brought the number of appearances for the {4-2} Pattern to 228.

Similar Spread

Wednesday night’s numbers had a spread of 01:02:06:10:05. A similar spread existed for the June 14, 2006 drawing. That night, the winning numbers were 14, 20, 21, 31, 33 and 38, and their spread was 06:01:10:02:05.

Four-Number Combinations

Amidst the madness were two repeating Four-Number Combinations:

Prior to Wednesday night, the 3 0 1 1 0 1 Specific Order played January 30, 2023.

Similar Spread

Powerball’s spread was 02:04:33:10. The featured numbers in the October 2, 2019 drawing, 4, 8, 10, 43, 53 and PB 7, had a spread of 04:02:33:10.

The key thing to remember about similar spreads is that the differences between the numbers that were played were the same, but the orders in which they played were different. That goes for all lotteries.

Three-Number Combinations

Powerball had a fondness for repeating Three-Number Combinations! Three, in fact:

Now that’s what I call Easter surprises. The frequently played patterns of Lotto Texas and Powerball last occurring on April Fool’s Day and their jackpots increasing—especially for Lotto Texas, and that’s no joke! How long big will the jackpots get? This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe and Happy Easter!

Lotto Texas and Powerball’s Quiet Riot

Lotto Texas and Powerball made quite the ruckus Wednesday night. Their jackpots received a boost, and there were repeating Four and Three-Number Combinations aplenty. Saturday night told a different story. Their respective jackpots grew to $61.5 million and $159 million, but without a grand display. Given what day it was, perhaps these lotteries weren’t in a joking mood.

March: Out Like an Encore (or Two)

“Repeat” can be good or bad, depending on the context. It can either mean another chance or needless repetition. For lotteries, seeing that Pattern play for the second time in a row can be beneficial if you played that Pattern the last time. However, it can be a bummer if you don’t win, even if the jackpot grows!

As Lotto Texas and Powerball held their last drawings for March, neither were ready to let go of their Monday night Patterns just yet! Their respective jackpots grew to $61 million and $147 million March 29, 2023.

Looks like the first quarter of the year has gone well for both Powerball and Lotto Texas—Lotto Texas especially. How high will Lotto Texas’s jackpot go? This is Romulun Harris signing off. Stay safe!

No Jackpot Resets Here!

Lotto Texas, ever graceful, so full of poise. Unlike Mega Millions and Powerball, this lottery operates on a smaller scale. This “small” lottery also tends to bow out before reaching $50 million, let alone $20 million. Perhaps Lotto Texas is tired of resetting so soon or just wants a challenge. Whatever the reason, Lotto Texas has more than proved that it can hang with big boys Mega Millions and Powerball over the past six months.

Saturday night’s results kept Lotto Texas in the club for a bit longer. By the power of a {3-2-1} Pattern encore, the jackpot rose to $58 million. Lest we forget about Powerball, that lottery didn’t need an encore to boost the jackpot to $122 million.

Jackpot Growth, So it Goes

They say it’s always the ones you least expect. For as long as we’ve done Lottery Binge, the current behavior in Lotto Texas is something for sure. Never have we seen such determination from a lottery known to bow out gracefully long before the jackpot reaches as high as it has become lately! Lotto Texas, often overshadowed by Powerball and Mega Million, continues to have a jackpot that’s “in their league”, so to speak.

Rather than opt for a Pattern encore, Lotto Texas took to playing a less common Pattern Saturday night. This paid off handsomely, for the jackpot grew to $54.5 million. Meanwhile, Powerball’s nifty handling of an Australia Play boosted the jackpot over there to $86 million.

Now, Lotto Texas wasn’t the only one that saw a rising jackpot! Powerball employed its own reset resistance method, and saw the jackpot rise to $78 million.
