Combination Summer Jam

June 21^st was the official start of summer, and what better way to start the season than with not-so-commonly played Patterns? How about more repeating Four-Number and Three-Number Combinations? Just as it was on Saturday, Wednesday night had two repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas, and one repeating Three-Number Combination in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 10, 16, 24, 25, 31, and 36, bringing the total number of appearances of the {4-2} Pattern to 165.

This Pattern has played in 11.3% of the 1457 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen in the May 13, 2017 drawing a little over a month ago.

With 29 appearances, the 2 4 0 Specific Order has now played in 17.6% of the 165 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.99% of all 1457 drawings. Like the {4-2} Pattern, this Specific Order previously played in the May 13^th drawing.

This time around, the repeating Four-Number Combinations were

Powerball

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 35^th appearance, with winning numbers 14, 46, 61, 65, 68, and PB 13.

This Pattern has now played in 19.6% of the 179 Powerball drawings, and previously played in the June 7, 2017 drawing exactly two weeks prior.

Making its fifteenth appearance, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has now played in 42.9% of the 35 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played, and in 8.38% of all drawings. This General Order was seen alongside the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in the June 7^th drawing.

With three appearances, the 1 0 0 1 3 1 Specific Order has now played in 20% of the 15 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared, and 8.57% of the 35 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When taking all 179 drawings into account, this statistic becomes 1.68%. Prior to Wednesday, this Specific Order previously played in the February 1, 2017 drawing.

The lone repeating Three-Number Combination of the evening was 14, 61, 68, and it made its debut in the April 12, 2017 drawing.

Will there be more repeating Four-Number and Three-Number Combinations on Saturday?

Holy {3-1-1-1}!

The night of June 13^th was a change of pace. As the title points out, there was no {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore. Instead, an uncommonly-seen Pattern got its time to shine, and there were two repeating Three-Number Combinations.

The 62^nd appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern was made possible by winning numbers 27, 51, 62, 68, 75, and MB 8.

This Pattern has now played in 16.3% of the 381 Mega Millions drawing, and was last seen in the May 26^th, 2017 drawing.

Making its 23^rd appearance, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 37.1% of the 62 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 6.04% of all 381 drawings. Prior to Tuesday night, this General Order played in the January 17^th, 2017 drawing.

Now with two appearances, the 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order has played in approximately 8.70% of the 23 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 3.23% of the 62 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.52% of all 381 drawings. The 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order made its debut in the October 6^th, 2015 drawing. This was over eighteen months ago.

Will there be a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore in Friday night’s drawing?

Stumbling Upon a Three-Peat and (Repeating) Combinations

June 7^th was a busy night for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Lotto Texas saw a trio of Four-Number Combinations and Powerball saw one repeating Three-Number Combination. Right off the heels of Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, the three-peat bug had spread. The question now is, which lottery saw a Pattern three-peat?

Lotto Texas

As it turns out, Lotto Texas saw a three-peat of the {3-2-1} Pattern. The winning numbers this time around were 16, 25, 26, 33, 37, and 43.

This Pattern has now made 754 appearances, and has played in 51.9% of the 1453 Lotto Texas drawings. Recall that the {3-2-1} Pattern was last seen in the June 3, 2017 drawing and earlier still on May 31st.

Making its 114^th appearance, the 1 3 2 Specific Order has played in 15.1% of the 754 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 7.85% of all drawings. This Specific Order was last seen in the April 22, 2017 drawing.

The trio of Four-Number Combinations was made up of the following:

Did Powerball also see a Pattern three-peat?

Powerball

Unlike the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in “sister” Mega Millions, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern did not make a three-peat appearance, or “four-peat”, actually. Instead, Powerball saw the 34^th appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. The winning numbers were 5, 21, 57, 66, 69, and PB 13.

This Pattern has played in 19.4% of the 175 drawings, and was last seen in the May 24, 2017 drawing a few weeks ago.

Now with fourteen appearances, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 41.2% of the 34 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 8% of all Powerball drawings. This General Order previously played in the May 20, 2017 drawing.

Next up is the 1 1 0 0 3 1 Specific Order, making its second-ever appearance. This Specific Order has played in approximately 14.3% of the 14 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared, 5.88% of the 34 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.14% of all 175 drawings. The 1 1 0 0 3 1 Specific Order made its debut in the September 21, 2016 drawing.

The lone repeating Three-Number Combination was 57, 66, and 69, and it made its debut over a year ago in the May 4, 2016 drawing.

What will Saturday’s drawing have in store? Will the {3-2-1} Pattern be daring and go for a fourth consecutive appearance? Will a Specific Order make its debut?

Summer is upon us in Lottery Trend Country (US). The barbeque pits are firing up, beach parties are in full swing, and some kids got a head start to summer vacation. Mega Millions kick-started summer with a repeating Three-Number Combination Friday night! Now, before I get to that, there’s a matter concerning order that must be discussed. Both the General Order and the Specific Order were last seen this past March.

The winning numbers in the May 26^th drawing were 25, 26, 28, 37, 56, and MB 5.

Now with 61 appearances, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played in 16.2% of the 376 Mega Millions drawings. Prior to Friday, this Pattern was last seen just a couple of weeks ago in the May 12^th drawing.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made it 21^st appearance, and has now played in 34.4% of the 61 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 5.59% of all drawings. This Specific Order previously played in the March 31^st, 2017 drawing.

Making its fourth appearance, the 0 3 1 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in roughly 19% of the 21 drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 6.56% of the 61 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.06% of all drawings. Like the [3-1-1-1] General Order, the 0 3 1 1 0 1 Specific Order previously played in the March 31^st, 2017 drawing.

And now it’s time to discuss the Three-Number Combination.

Next week will mark the first anniversary of Lottery Binge, and of course, the end of May. How will Mega Millions end the month? Will there be a rare play? Will the {3-1-1-1} Pattern go for an encore appearance?

Leading Threes

Saturday night’s momentum continued into the May 24^th drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball. Both lotteries saw big plays! One such play came in the form of our dear friends the repeating Combinations. Lotto Texas saw a repeating Four-Number Combination and Powerball had a repeating Three-Number Combination.

And in both Lotto Texas and Powerball, the number three (3) was not in short supply.

Lotto Texas

The not oft-seen {3-3} Pattern played for the 125^th time, with winning numbers 11, 13, 17, 48, 51, and 54.

This Pattern has now played in 8.63% of the 1449 Lotto Texas drawings, and previously played in the April 19, 2017 drawing.

Making its 46^th appearance, the 3 0 3 Specific Order has now played in 36.8% of the 125 drawings where the {3-3} Pattern has appeared, and in 3.17% of all drawings. Prior to Wednesday night’s drawing, this Specific Order was last seen in the April 8, 2017 drawing.

This Combination made its debut in the January 27, 2010 drawing.

Powerball

Right off the heels of Saturday’s drawing, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance. This time, the winning numbers were 28, 32, 33, 38, 62, and PB 15.

Now with 33 appearances, this Pattern has played in 19.3% of the 171 Powerball drawings.

Making its twelfth appearance, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has played in 36.4% of the 33 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 7.02% of all drawings. This General Order was last seen in the April 26, 2017 drawing.

With three appearances, the 0 1 3 0 1 1 Specific Order has now played in 25% of the 12 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared, and approximately 9.09% of the 33 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When looking at all 171 Powerball drawings, this statistic becomes 1.75%. This Specific Order was last seen in the early days of Lottery Binge: June 1, 2016, to be exact.

The repeating Three-Number Combination was 28, 33, and 38.

The debut for this Combination was in the February 15, 2017 drawing a little over three months ago.

Looks like Lotto Texas and Powerball are ready to kick it into high gear for summer. Will the lead-in to the Memorial Day weekend be a fireworks show or will things mellow out?

Ain’t No Party Like a Combo Party

Saturday nights for Lotto Texas and Powerball are usually busy, and May 20^th was one of those nights. Repeating Three and Four-Number Combinations was the theme, and both lotteries got to take part. The debut dates ranged from just last month to the beginning of the millennium*!

*Or end of the millennium, depending on who you ask.

Lotto Texas

The {3-2-1} Pattern made its 751^st appearance with winning numbers 8, 9, 15, 20, 38, and 39.

This Pattern remains the most commonly seen in Lotto Texas, now appearing in 51.9% of the 1448 Lotto Texas drawings. Prior to Saturday’s drawing, the {3-2-1} Pattern was last seen a few weeks ago in the April 26, 2017 drawing.

Making its 136^th appearance, the 3 1 2 Specific Order has now played in 18.1% of the 751 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 9.39% of all Lotto Texas drawings. This Specific Order previously played in the March 18, 2017 drawing.

The grandest part of Saturday night’s drawing was the repeat appearances of four Four-Number Combinations!

Lotto Texas saw plenty of repeating Combination action. Did Powerball see just as much?

Powerball

With winning numbers 5, 22, 45, 47, 54, and PB 3, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 32^nd appearance.

This Pattern has now played in 18.8% of the 170 Powerball drawings, and was last seen in the April 29, 2017 drawing.

Now with 13 appearances, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in roughly 40.63% of the 32 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 7.65% of all Powerball drawings. This General Order previously played in the April 5, 2017 drawing.

The 1 1 0 3 0 1 Specific Order made its second appearance. With that said, this Specific Order has played in 15.4% of the 13 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared, 6.25% of the 32 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.18% of all drawings. Interestingly, this Specific Order made its debut in the same April 5^th drawing that the [1-1-3-1] General Order was last seen.

The repeating Three-Number Combination was 5,22,45, fresh off the heels of its debut just last month in the April 15, 2017 drawing.

Powerball may not have seen as much in the way of repeating Combinations, but it’s not often that the General Order and the Specific Order share the same “last seen” date.

With the drumbeats of summer vacation growing ever louder in Lottery Trend Country, what will the week ahead have in store? Will there be more repeating Three and Four-Number Combinations or will there be a mellowing out. Memorial Day is around the corner, after all.

The Big Playback

Looking at the title, you’re probably thinking that an Australia Play took place. Well, you’d be wrong. The May 12, 2017 drawing did present a phenomenon found with an Australia Play. But, why spoil it in the introductory paragraph?

Friday night’s winning numbers were 28, 34, 41, 42, 47, and MB 13, bringing the total number of appearances of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern to 60.

This Pattern has now played in 16.1% of the 372 Mega Millions drawings, and was last seen in the April 11,2017 drawing.

Making its 18^th appearance, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has played in 30% of the 60 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 4.84% of all drawings. Like the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-3-1-1] Specific Order was also last seen in the April 11^th drawing.

See a pattern here?

The 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order made its seventh appearance. This Specific Order has now played in approximately 38.9% of the 18 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared. Moving up the chain, this Specific Order has played in approximately 11.7% of the 60 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.88% of all 372 drawings. Like the Pattern and the General Order of the evening, the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order previously played in the April 11^th drawing.

For those of you who’ve just started checking out Lottery Binge, you can see above that the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order all appeared together on a previous day. This is one feature of the Australia Play phenom; the main feature is that the Pattern, General Order, and the Specific Order are the same. In the case of Mega Millions, the Australia Play would consist of the {1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and the 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order. However, unlike what occurred on Friday night, the statistics for each would be the same. What took place isn’t common to begin with, even rarer when an Australia Play did not appear.

Number Storm

The steady rain from Wednesday night turned into a downpour Saturday. What sprouted after the rains of April 29^th were big plays for both Lotto Texas and Powerball.

Lotto Texas

One of the big events in Lotto Texas was the return of the Australia Play! As is the nature of such a play, the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order made their 194^th appearance. The winning numbers were 2, 5, 25, 35, 41, and 53.

Prior to Saturday night, the last time an Australia Play came about was in the February 22, 2017 drawing. The Australia Play has now appeared in 13.5% of 1442 Lotto Texas drawings.

Saturday’s Australia Play also harbored two repeating Four-Number Combinations. These were

2, 35, 41, 53 (Debuted August 6, 2011) and
2, 25, 35, 41 (Debuted July 5, 2014)

Powerball

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance, with winning numbers 22, 23, 24, 45, 62, and PB 5.

Now with 31 appearances, this Pattern has played in 18.9% of the 164 Powerball drawings.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its eighth appearance, and has played in 25.8% of the 31 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 4.88% of all 164 drawings. The [3-1-1-1] had previously played in the January 11, 2017 drawing.

Getting into specifics, the 0 3 0 1 1 1 Specific Order made its third appearance. This Specific Order has played in 37.5% of the 8 drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order appeared, 9.68% of the 31 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.83% of all Powerball drawings. Prior to Saturday, the 0 3 0 1 1 1 Specific Order previously played in the November 19, 2016 drawing.

Last, but certainly not least, a Three-Number Combination made a repeat appearance! The Combination was 22, 45, and PB 5.

With April behind us and with May on the way, will a trend of big plays be established for Lotto Texas and Powerball?

April Showers

“April showers bring May flowers,” so the saying goes. One can assume that said showers are of steady rains, not sprinkles or deluges of Biblical proportions. The April 26, 2017 drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball were just like those proverbial showers. There were no major upsets, and the biggest play of the evening wasn’t obvious, at least on the surface.

Lotto Texas

Lotto Texas had the biggest draw of the evening, with the encore appearance of the {3-2-1} Pattern. Its 750^th appearance was thanks to winning numbers 9, 25, 30, 40, 45, and 53.

This Pattern has now played in 52.05% of the 1441 Lotto Texas drawings, and remains the most commonly seen Pattern. Recall that the {3-2-1} Pattern was just seen this past Saturday.

The Specific Order of the evening was 1 2 3. Now with 137 appearances, this Specific Order has played in 18.3% of the 750 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared. When looking at all 1441 drawings, this statistic becomes 9.51%. The 1 2 3 Specific Order was last seen in the December 3, 2016 drawing.

There were no repeating Four-Number, or Five-Number Combinations on Wednesday night.

Powerball

Powerball saw an uncommon Pattern in the form of {3-1-1-1}. Winning numbers 1, 15, 18, 26, 51, and PB 26 brought the number of appearances up to 30.

This Pattern has now played in 18.4% of the 163 Powerball drawings, and previously played in the April 5, 2017 drawing.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order made its 11^th appearance, its first since the March 4, 2017 drawing. This General Order has played in approximately 36.67% of the 30 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 6.75% of all 163 drawings.

With only two appearances, the 1 3 0 1 0 1 Specific Order has now played in 18.2% of the eleven drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in approximately 6.667% of the 30 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} has appeared, and in 1.23% of all drawings. The 1 3 0 1 0 1 Specific Order made its debut in the November 12, 2016 drawing.

The thing about showers is that the grey skies give way to sunlight and fields with flowers abloom. With the last drawings of the month for Lotto Texas and Powerball taking place on Saturday, will the flowers bloom early?

April 11^th was mostly quiet. No new Specific Order made a debut, and neither the Pattern nor General Order were rare sights. These three did share one thing in common: they were all previously seen at the end of this past March. There was something in the Mega Millions drawing that kept the night from being completely quiet and that was the repeat appearances of three Three-Number Combinations!

First in the Lottery Binge Mega Millions analysis is the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, making its 59^th appearance. The winning numbers were 19, 34, 35, 38 49, and MB 8.

This Pattern has now played in approximately 16.3% of the 363 Mega Millions drawings. We last saw this Pattern in the March 31^st drawing.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order made its 17^th appearance, its first since the March 28^th drawing. With that said, this General Order has played in 28.8% of the 59 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played. This General Order has also played in 4.68% of all drawings.

Next is the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order, making its sixth appearance. This means that it has now played in 35.3% of the 17 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 10.2% of the 59 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.65% of all Mega Millions drawings thus far. Like the [1-3-1-1] General Order, the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order previously played on March 28^th.

And now for The Big Reveal. These were the Three-Number Combinations that made a repeat performance:
