No Foolin’

April is now in full swing and another Wednesday has come and gone. The results from Lotto Texas and Powerball showed that April 5^th was far from a quiet night. Lotto Texas saw most of the excitement, but don’t count Powerball out!

Lotto Texas

The {3-2-1} Pattern made an encore appearance, with winning numbers 8, 20, 21, 26, 51, and 52.

With 746 appearances, this Pattern continues to leave all other Lotto Texas Patterns in the dust. As of Wednesday, it has played in roughly 52% of the 1435 drawings. Recall that the {3-2-1} Pattern previously played in Saturday’s drawing.

The 1 3 2 Specific Order made its 111^th appearance. Like the {3-2-1} Pattern, this Specific Order was also last seen this past Saturday. With that said, the 1 3 2 Specific Order has now played in 14.9% of the 746 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 7.74% of all Lotto Texas drawings.

Although there were no repeating Four-Number Combinations, we saw not one, but two similar spreads in Wednesday’s drawing. One of these similar spreads was 05:01:01:12:25, and the winning numbers for the night of April 4^th, 2007 were 8, 13, 14, 15, 27, and 52. Another similar spread came in the form of 05:12:01:01:25 on February 16^th, 2008. The winning numbers were 9, 14, 26, 27, 28, and 53. Given that the winning numbers from Wednesday night were 8, 20, 21, 26, 51, and 52, the spread was 12:01:05:25:01. As is the nature of similar spreads, the differences between numbers in these drawings were the same, but the orders were different.

What antics did Powerball get up to?

Powerball

Compared to Lotto Texas, Powerball was much calmer. There were no similar spreads, nor were there repeating Three-Number Combinations. Even so, that didn’t stop the debut of a new Specific Order.

Wednesday’s drawing marked the 29^th appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 8, 20, 46, 53, 54, and PB 13.

This Pattern has now played in 18.5% of the 157 Powerball drawings and was last seen in the March 4^th drawing, which was a little more than a month ago.

Next, the [1-1-3-1] General Order made its 12^th appearance, its first since the February 15^th, 2017 drawing. This General Order has now played in 41.4% of the 29 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 7.64% of all drawings.

Our Lottery Trend analysis/recap for Powerball concludes with the debut of the 1 1 0 3 0 1 Specific Order. This has now played in 8.33% of the 12 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared, 3.45% of the 29 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.64% of all drawings.

Looking ahead to Saturday, will another Specific Order make its debut? Will the {3-2-1} Pattern in Lotto Texas go for a three-peat appearance?

A Really Big Surprise–And it’s not an April Fools’ Joke!

Happy April everyone! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, once again giving you the latest lottery updates! And have I got a very good surprise for all you! But first, the details.

Last night on March 31, 2017, as the month came to a close, the Megamillions jackpot was won, courtesy of the winning numbers 17, 24, 27, 32, 58 and MB 10.

Once again, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern played, in its 58^th appearance. Currently, it has played in 16.11% of all 360 drawings. The {3-1-1-1} Pattern last played on March 28, 2017.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its 20^th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 34.48% of 58 drawings associated with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern and 5.56% of all 360 drawings. The [3-1-1-1] General Order last played on March 14, 2017.

The 0 3 1 1 0 1 Specific Order made its 3^rd appearance. Currently, it has appeared in exactly 15% of 20 drawings associated with the [3-1-1-1] General Order, 5.17% of 58 drawings associated with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, and 1.39% of all 360 drawings. Like the [3-1-1-1] General Order, the 0 3 1 1 0 1 Specific Order last played on March 14, 2017.

There were three repeats in Three-Number Combinations. The Combinations comprised the numbers:

17, 24, and 27—which debuted on May 17, 2016.
17, 24, and MB 10—which debuted on June 24, 2014.
27, 58, and MB 10—which debuted on St. Patrick’s Day.

Generally, drawings that play according to the same Specific Order will be closer in numbers than drawings with different Specific Orders. Three-Num Combo Surprise!

Hello again, Lottery Trend Fans! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, once again giving you the latest lottery updates! This time in Megamillions, something special happened in the Three-Number Combinations section. And now for the details.

Last night on March 28, 2017, the winning numbers in Megamillions were 30, 33, 35, 37, 46, and MB 10.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 57^th appearance and, currently, has appeared in 15.88% of all 359 drawings. The pattern last played on March 14, 2017, two weeks prior to last night.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order made its 16^th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 28.07% of 57 drawings associated with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern and 4.46% of all 359 drawings. The [1-3-1-1] General Order last played on September 9, 2016.

The 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order made its 5^th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 31.25% of 16 drawings associated with the [1-3-1-1] General Order, 8.77% of 57 drawings associated with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, and 1.39% of all 359 drawings. The 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order last played on July 1, 2016.

This time, there were two Three-Number Combinations that repeated, one combination even making its third appearance.

The first Three-Number Combination comprised the numbers 33, 46, and MB 10. It made its debut on July 31, 2015.

The second Three-Number Combination comprised the numbers 30, 35, and MB 10. It made its debut on March 21, 2014 and appeared for the second time on July 11, 2014.

3-1-1-1 Comes Back!

Hello, Lotterytrend fans! Once again, this is your guest blogger, Romulun Harris, giving you the latest lottery reports!

With St. Patrick’s Day just two days away, the magic pot of gold, or the jackpot in this case, continues to increase in value. Last night on March 14, 2017, the winning numbers on Megamillions were 16, 23, 28, 33, 59, and MB 13.

Making its 56^th appearance since last playing on January 17, 2017 was the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. So far, it has played in approximately 15.77% of all 355 drawings.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its 19^th appearance. So far, it has appeared in approximately 33.93% of 56 drawings associated with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern and 5.35% of all 355 drawings. The [3-1-1-1] General Order last played on December 20, 2016.

The 0 3 1 1 0 1 Specific Order made its 2^nd appearance. So far, it has appeared in approximately 10.53% of 19 drawings associated with the [3-1-1-1] General Order, 3.57% of 56 drawings associated with the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, and 0.56% of all 355 drawings. The 0 3 1 1 0 1 Specific Order last played on June 17, 2016.

There were no repeats in Three-Number Combinations.

A Flicker of February

The March 4, 2017 drawing didn’t bring us a four-peat of Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, nor did we see three repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas. Instead, both lotteries saw Patterns that were last seen in February. While appearing to be no big deal, there was much more bubbling underneath the surface. Two Four-Number Combinations repeated in Lotto Texas, and these Combinations made their debut almost fifteen years ago! Toss in the debut of a new Specific Order in Powerball and there was no end in sight to the March momentum.

Lotto Texas

Saturday night’s winning numbers were 2, 4, 5, 17, 48, and 50, marking the 161^st appearance of the {4-2} Pattern.

This Pattern has now played in approximately 11.3% of the 1426 Lotto Texas drawings to date, and was last seen in the February 11, 2017 drawing.

Now with 24 appearances, the 4 0 2 Specific Order has played in 14.9% of the 161 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.68% of all drawings. Prior to Saturday, this Specific Order played in the January 14, 2017 drawing.

The biggest draw in Lotto Texas was the repeat appearances of these Four-Number Combinations:

2, 14, 17, 50 (Debuted June 5, 2002)
4, 5, 17, 50 (Debuted April 5, 2002)

Powerball

Instead of a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern four-peat, we saw the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 2, 18, 19, 22, 63, and PB 19.

With 28 appearances to date, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played in 18.9% of the 148 Powerball drawings. This Pattern previously played in the February 15, 2017 drawing.

With its 10^th appearance, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has now played in 35.7% of the 28 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 6.76% of all drawings. We last saw the [1-3-1-1] General Order in the December 7, 2016 drawing.

Our Powerball coverage concludes with the debut of the 1 3 0 0 1 1 Specific Order. As of Saturday’s drawing, this Specific Order has played in 10% of the drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order has appeared, 3.57% of the 28 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in approximately 0.68% of all drawings.

As we march into the second week of the month, will other Specific Orders make their debut? Will another Pattern streak try to form?

Coupling Up After Valentine’s Day

And lots of it. This February 15, 2017 was more than just the day after Valentine’s Day. Lotto Texas and Powerball had their drawings, and there was coupling up in both. By “coupling up”, we mean there was a Pattern and an Order that shared a “previously played” date. The dates, of course, varied.

Lotto Texas

For the 122^nd time, the {3-3} Pattern came out to play. The winning numbers were 1, 4, 5, 43, 53, and 54.

This Pattern has now appeared in 8.59% of the 1421 Lotto Texas drawings to date, and was last seen in the January 21, 2017 drawing.

The 3 0 3 Specific Order made its 44^th appearance, and has now played in 36.1% of the 122 drawings where the {3-3} Pattern has appeared, and in 3.1% of all drawings. Like the {3-3} Pattern, this Specific Order was last seen a few weeks ago in the January 21^st drawing.

There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations, sorry to say

Those will have to wait for another day.

Powerball

The Powerball Pattern of the evening was {3-1-1-1}, with winning numbers 5, 28, 33, 38, 42, and PB 19.

Now with 27 appearances, this Pattern has now played in 18.9% of the 143 Powerball drawings. We last saw this Pattern exactly two weeks prior in the February 1, 2017 drawing.

Next, the [1-1-3-1] General Order made its 11^th appearance, and it was also last seen on February 1^st. With that said, this General Order has now played in 40.7% of the 27 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 7.69% of all drawings.

The 1 1 3 0 0 1 Specific Order made its world debut, meaning that it has now played in 9.09% of the eleven drawings where the [1-1-3-1-] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 3.70% of the 27 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.7% of all drawings.

January. A month of transition, in more ways than one. A month of new beginnings, and a month where one foot seems to be facing towards the future, and another foot is in the past. Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing was a shout-out to a very recent past, and it had an interesting split. The Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order had all previously played at or near the end of last year. The repeating Three-Number Combinations of the evening made their debut in 2015.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 55^th appearance in the January 17^th Mega Millions drawing. The occasion was marked by winning numbers 20, 31, 54, 56, 59, and MB 3.

This Pattern has now played in 16.2% of the 339 drawings to date, and previously played in the December 30^th, 2016 drawing.

Like the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-1-3-1] General Order was last seen in the December 30^th drawing. Now with 22 appearances, this General Order has played in 40% of the 55 drawings that the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared and in 6.49% of all drawings.

The 0 1 1 3 0 1 Specific Order made its sixth appearance, its first since the November 29^th, 2016 drawing. As of Tuesday, this Specific Order has played in 27.3% of the 22 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order appeared, 10.9% of the 55 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played, and in 1.77% of all Mega Millions drawings.

Tuesday’s drawing gifted us with two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

31, 56, 59 (debuted January 20^th, 2015)
20, 56, 59 (debuted November 27^th, 2015)

What makes the first Three-Number Combination fascinating is that it made its second appearance almost exactly two years to the day it debuted. Imagine how impressive it would’ve been if this Combination had played this Friday instead!

Low-Key Weekend

Saturday nights tend to be an explosive time for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. It seems that with the holiday season over and with (US) football play-offs under way, a break was in order January 14^th.

Lotto Texas

The {4-2} Pattern made its 157^th appearance, with winning numbers 7, 8, 10, 18, 47, and 48.

As of Saturday, this Pattern has played in 11.1% of the 1412 Lotto Texas drawings. We previously saw this Pattern last weekend in the January 7^th drawing.

The 4 0 2 Specific Order made its 23^rd appearance and has now played in 14.6% of the 157 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has played. This Specific Order has also played in 1.63% of all drawings. Prior to Saturday, the 4 0 2 Specific Order previously played in the Christmas Eve drawing.

Powerball

Powerball’s biggest spark was the encore appearance of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern. The winning numbers this time around were 23, 55, 59, 64, 69, and PB 13.

Now with 25 appearances, this Pattern has played in approximately 18.66% of the 134 Powerball drawings. Recall that the {3-1-1-1} Pattern recently played in this past Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.

Next, the [1-1-3-1] General Order made its ninth appearance, its first since the November 16, 2016 drawing. This General Order has now played in 36% of the 25 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 6.72% of all drawings.

The 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order made its third appearance Saturday. This Specific Order has now played in 33.3% of the nine drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared, 12% of the 25 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 2.24% of all drawings. Prior to Saturday’s drawing, the 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order was last seen in the October 15, 2016 drawing.

With January halfway over and with the Super Bowl coming up in Lottery Trend country, was Saturday night a lull before the coming storm?

Wednesday Night Bonanza

Lottery Trend country is in the middle of a January thaw. As those up north rejoice in putting away their snow shovels, and those down south have mixed feelings about wearing flip-flops and shorts, Lotto Texas and Powerball turned up the heat. January 11^th, 2017 made things quite toasty indeed.

Lotto Texas

The {3-2-1} Pattern has now appeared in 736 drawings, with winning numbers 4, 13, 16, 19, 43, and 51.

This Pattern has now appeared in 52.2% of the 1411 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen in the January 4^th, 2017 drawing just a week prior.

Now with 133 appearances, the 3 1 2 Specific Order has played in 18.1% of the 736 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 9.43% of all drawings. We last saw this Specific Order in the New Year’s Eve drawing.

Wednesday night gave us two repeating Four-Number Combinations:

4, 13, 43, and 51 (debuted Valentine’s Day 2007) and
4, 13, 16, and 19 (debuted March 29^th, 2014)

The repeating Four-Number Combination debut dates are spread out this time around. We went from a period just a few months before the iPhone debuted to a period where people camped out for them.

Powerball

Thanks to winning numbers 1, 3, 13, 16, 43, and PB 24, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has now appeared a respectable 24 times.

This Pattern has played in 18% of the 133 Powerball drawings, and previously played December 7^th, 2016.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its seventh appearance, its first since the November 26^th, 2016 drawing. This General Order has now played in 29.2% of the 24 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 5.26% of all drawings.

Wednesday’s drawing gave us a new Specific Order! This gem was 3 1 0 1 0 1 and has now appeared in approximately 14.3% of the seven drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared. The 3 1 0 1 0 1 Specific Order has also played in 4.17% of the 24 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.75% of all drawings.

Another gem was the repeating Three-Number Combination 3, 16, and PB 24, which made its debut not too long ago in the October 26^th 2016 drawing.

As we head into a holiday weekend, and the January thaw goes full speed ahead, will Lotto Texas and Powerball continue to crank up the heat?

Visits from Holidays Past

What a year it has been for Mega Millions! When we launched Lottery Binge back in May, we saw mellow periods, and an unprecedented “six-peat”. The December 30^th, 2016 drawing not only ended the year with a bang, but had another surprise when we looked at everything closely.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 54^th appearance, thanks to winning numbers 6, 21, 33, 39, 43, and MB 2.

As of Friday, this Pattern has appeared in 16.2% of the 334 Mega Millions drawings. We last saw this Pattern a little before Christmas, in the December 20^th drawing.

The [1-1-3-1] General Order made its 21^st appearance, and has now played in 38.9% of the 54 drawings that the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played and 6.29% of all drawings. Prior to Friday, the [1-1-3-1] General Order previously played in the November 29^th, 2016 drawing.

The 1 1 3 0 0 1 Specific Order made its fourth appearance. With that said, this Specific Order has now played in 19% of the 21 drawings where the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played, 7.41% of the 54 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played, and in 1.20% of all Mega Millions drawings. What makes the 1 1 3 0 0 1 Specific Order interesting is that this Specific Order was last seen in the January 1^st, 2016 drawing! We can certainly say that Mega Millions ended 2016 the way it started.

Another quirk in Friday’s drawing was the repeat appearance of the Three-Number Combination 33, 39, and MB 2.
