Cooling Off with a Trip Down Under

There was a shift in gears July 5th. Lotto Texas decided to beat the heat, and the {3-2-1} Pattern streak, with an Australia Play. It wasn’t too chilly though, as Wednesday night also saw a repeating Four-Number Combination. Powerball saw its most commonly played Pattern, but there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations. That, and there were no new Specific Orders to speak of in either lottery.

This Australia Play also produced the repeating Four-Number Combination 4, 8, 47, and 51, which made its debut in the May 12th, 2001 drawing.

Will this cool down continue into Saturday night, or will things heat up again?

Five-Time Charmer

The Fourth of July came and went. Across the U.S., people went to cookouts, parades, and even sales at retail stores. Of course, no Fourth of July celebration is complete without fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, Mega Millions had a show of its own. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has now made its fifth consecutive appearance!

Did this iteration of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern also produce any repeating Three-Number Combinations, or did the Pattern steal the show?

Tuesday night’s winning numbers were 16, 39, 47, 53, 71, and MB 15, bringing the number of appearances of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern to 161.

For those of you who are new to Lottery Binge, or just need a memory jog, the “five-peat” phenomenon was talked about last summer. Is the long Pattern streak going to be a new summer phenomenon? Will the {2-1-1-1-1} tie the record for six consecutive appearances that was established last summer?

Four-Timing Pattern

June ended not with a whimper, but with the sound of fireworks. The June 30th Mega Millions drawing saw the fourth consecutive appearance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Was there also at least one repeating Three-Number Combination, or was the four-peat the only highlight of the evening?

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 160th appearance with winning numbers 10, 38, 51, 55, 64, and MB 6.

Triple Threats

June’s getting ready to wrap up, and it looks like Mega Millions is ready to go out with a bang! The June 27, 2017 drawing brought forth a {2-1-1-1-1} three-peat, and, there were three Three-Number Combinations. Try saying “Three Three-Number Combinations” three times fast.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has a way of establishing streaks. One of those streaks was the “six-peat” seen last year during the Rio Olympics. Will Mega Millions end the month with a fourth appearance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern?

Pattern Volleyball Session

Alongside the barbecues and the pool parties, another one of summer’s beloved pastimes is beach volleyball. Lotto Texas and Powerball tried their hands at it in the June 24, 2017 drawing, and the results could be summed up as “Last Saturday with a touch of May.” Both lotteries saw their most commonly played Patterns, unlike what happened on Wednesday night. Like the Saturday before, this iteration of Lotto Texas’s most commonly played Pattern produced two repeating Four-Number Combinations. In contrast, the most recent iteration of Powerball’s Pattern didn’t produce repeating Three-Number Combinations.

From a Downpour to a Sprinkle

In the last Mega Millions post, we covered the ever-so-rare repeating Four-Number Combination—and the four repeating Three-Number Combinations nestled within. A storm was brewing in the June 20th drawing, and while not as intense as Friday night, there was still plenty of action. The most commonly seen Pattern made an appearance, and this time around, there were two repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will Friday night’s drawing see a Pattern encore? Will there be more repeating Three-Number Combinations?

Common Things

“Common” was the surface theme of the evening for June 17th. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their most commonly played Patterns. Powerball’s Pattern play was also an encore this time around. Of course, there’s more to the story. Lotto Texas had two repeating Four-Number Combinations, and Powerball had one repeating Three-Number Combination.

Lotto Texas

Now with 756 appearances, the {3-2-1} Pattern showed no signs of being upstaged by another Pattern. The winning numbers Saturday night were 3, 4, 6, 23, 34, and 54.

The next Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings will take place on the summer solstice (or winter solstice for any readers in the Southern Hemisphere). How will Lotto Texas and Powerball mark the occasion? Will a Pattern streak be established with the most commonly seen Patterns, or will things mellow out?

Calmly Wandering into a Three-Peat

Compared to what happened this past Friday, Mega Millions was mostly calm the night of June 6th. Mostly? Well, a bit of that Friday night charm rubbed off. Friday night’s Pattern not only made an encore appearance, but has now appeared three times in a row! Did the General Order and Specific Order get a touch of Friday night as well, or did they do their own thing?

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 156th appearance, with winning numbers 3, 5, 16, 49, 75, and MB 5.

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations Tuesday night, but will there be at least one on Friday night? Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern dare to go for a “four-peat”?

The Common Denominator

Lotto Texas and Powerball dived into the June pool and they found common ground in Saturday night’s drawing. Combination-wise, Lotto Texas saw repeating Four-Number Combinations. Powerball, on the other hand, didn’t see any repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Lotto Texas

With its 753rd appearance, the {3-2-1} Pattern remained the most commonly played. The June 3, 2017 drawing marked the occasion with winning numbers 1, 9, 17, 23, 53, and 54.

One of the amazing things about repeating Four-Number Combinations is the range of their debut dates. As you can see from the dates above, these Combinations debuted anywhere from the early days of YouTube to a period where smartphones were everywhere.

Powerball

As mentioned earlier, Powerball also saw its most commonly seen Pattern make an encore appearance. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern was represented by winning numbers 3, 9, 21, 41, 54, and PB 25.

Will the Patterns continue to be joined at the hip in the week ahead, or will other Patterns appear? Will a Specific Order make its debut?
