The Ever-Persistent Pattern

After appearing four times in a row, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has stepped aside. Lately, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern doesn’t like to go for long periods without having played. Whether it’s going to go for yet another streak is to be determined. What can be said about the August 8th drawing is that this instance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern was accompanied by three repeating Three-Number Combinations.

With winning numbers 11, 17, 50, 52, 74, and MB 14, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 166th appearance.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} be bold enough to go for an encore appearance Friday night, or will another Pattern play instead?

Going Their Separate Ways

Saturday night saw the split-up of Lotto Texas’s {3-2-1} Pattern and Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. In our last Lotto Texas/Powerball post, we were wondering if these Patterns were going to continue to stick together.  The {3-2-1} Pattern didn’t make an appearance Saturday night. Instead, one of the least commonly seen Lotto Texas Patterns played in its stead. Accompanying this Pattern was a similar spread and a repeating Four-Number Combination. Powerball continued onward with its {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak, the Pattern now having made its fifth consecutive appearance.

Lotto Texas

The August 5th drawing saw winning numbers 7, 26, 27, 29, 35, and 36, bringing the number of appearances for the {5-1} Pattern to 53.

The similar spread was shared with the winning numbers of the November 29th, 2006 drawing. That night saw winning numbers 25, 44, 46, 47, 48, and 54, creating a spread of 19:02:01:01:06. The spread for Saturday night’s numbers was 19:01:02:06:01. Note that the order of the spreads is different, even though the difference between numbers in both drawings is the same.

The repeating Four-Number Combination of the evening was 26, 27, 29, and 35, which made its debut in the March 14th, 2007 drawing.

This Specific Order has also played in 1.56% of all 192 drawings, and was last seen in the November 9th, 2016 drawing.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern decided to go it alone, as there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will the {5-1} Pattern make an encore appearance in Wednesday’s drawing? Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern go for a sixth consecutive appearance in Powerball?

Partners in Crime

August began for Lotto Texas and Powerball just the way July ended. How so? The {3-2-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns have now appeared together four times in a row! That’s not all that happened the night of August 2, 2017. Accompanying the {3-2-1} Pattern in Lotto Texas was a repeating Four-Number Combination. Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern was joined by a repeating Three-Number Combination.

Will the {3-2-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns continue to be joined at the hip, or will the chain be broken Saturday night?

Two Patterns: Three Times

July has come and gone for Lotto Texas and Powerball, and things ended with them joined at the hip. In the last two drawings, both have had their most commonly seen Patterns make appearances together. The July 29th drawing marked the third time in a row that this has occurred. Not only that, these Patterns can’t go without having some sort of Combination action taking place. “Two” has become the favorite number for repeating Four-Number Combinations that show up in Lotto Texas. Powerball decided that one repeating Three-Number Combination was enough.

Saturday Night Comebacks

The “dog days of summer” are upon us in Lottery Trend country. The amount of sunlight during the day may be steadily shrinking, but daytime’s a scorcher. We can add the night of July 26th to the scorcher list. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their most commonly played Patterns. Furthermore, these were last seen this past Saturday night! Of course, it wouldn’t be a sizzling hot night without repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas, and a repeating Three-Number Combination in Powerball.

Will either the {3-2-1} or the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern go for a three-peat this Saturday?

It’s a Common Thing

Unlike what took place on Wednesday night, there were no rarely-seen Patterns July 22nd. In fact, both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their most commonly seen Patterns make an appearance. There were also two repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas, one of them having played twice before! Powerball saw a repeating Three-Number Combination as well.

Repeating Four-Number Combinations got a lot of love. The repeating Four-Number Combinations were:

Sixteen years is a lengthy amount of time to pass for a Four-Number Combination to play again. It’s also not common to see a Four-Number Combination repeat just a few months after making its debut!

With July about to wrap up, what will we see in the week ahead? Will either the {3-2-1} or the {2-1-1-1-1}  or both Patterns make an encore?

The Four Lives of {2-1-1-1-1}

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern is a special one indeed. It’s the most commonly seen Pattern in Mega Millions, and it has a penchant for showing up in sets of consecutive appearances. Last summer, this Pattern made a record-breaking six consecutive appearances. Earlier this summer, it looked as if the Pattern was going to tie the record, but there were other plans. Of course, never count anything out! Shortly after this “hiccup”, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern got back up and the July 11th drawing established a new streak. Friday night saw this Pattern’s fourth consecutive appearance.

The winning numbers in the July 21st drawing were 18, 31, 36, 50, 74, and MB 10, bringing the number of appearances of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern to 165.

This Combination made its debut in the July 11th drawing. To think that Friday night’s drawing was a reunion, of sorts.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern get a second chance next week to tie the record?

Playing it Cool

Well, don’t that beat all? Earlier this summer, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made five consecutive appearances, and came close to tying the record that was achieved last summer. It looks like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern is trying to establish a streak again, because it made its third consecutive appearance in the July 18th drawing.

This Mega Millions post will be another short one, as there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

The winning numbers on Tuesday night were 8, 12, 23, 51, 73, and MB 6, bringing the number of appearances of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern up to 164.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern go for a fourth consecutive appearance?

Short and Sweet Encore

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern was feeling bold Friday night. In our last Mega Millions post, we had asked if this Pattern would make an encore, and sure enough, it did. There was a bit of a change-up, though. Unlike what happened in the July 11th drawing, there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

This Specific Order has also played in 2.05% of all 390 drawings, and was last seen in the November 20th, 2015 drawing.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern go for a three-peat in Tuesday’s drawing, or does Mega Millions have another surprise up its sleeve?

Guess Who Decided to Show Up?

Well, isn’t this something!? After not showing up in the July 7th Mega Millions drawing, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern appeared Tuesday night.

If it had made an appearance in both Friday night and Tuesday night’s drawings, it would’ve shattered the record for most consecutive appearances of a Pattern. At least, as far as Lottery Binge’s Mega Millions coverage is concerned. Perhaps next summer, {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Perhaps next summer.

With that said, the winning numbers for the July 11th drawing were 7, 18, 24, 55, 74, and MB 10.
