Lotto Texas and Powerball’s Quadruple Knockout

Somehow, the phrase, “What the <insert favorite expletive> was that?!” doesn’t come close to describing what happened Saturday night.

Lotto Texas and Powerball were truly in sync. In fact, they were so in sync that both, yes both, featured two repeating Four-Number Combinations! Unfortunately for Powerball, that played a part in the jackpot resetting to $20 million. Meanwhile, Lotto Texas seamlessly incorporated its repeating Four-Number Combinations as the jackpot rose to $15.75 million.

Three-Number Combinations

Naturally, it didn’t stop there. Each of those repeating Four-Number Combinations from earlier had four repeating Three-Number Combinations!

Here were the ones that debuted in the June 17, 2020 drawing:

With the Powerball jackpot now at $20 million, Lotto Texas isn’t that far behind. (US) Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and there’s no telling what these two are cooking up. On the one hand, things may be quieter, what with the upcoming holiday. On the other hand, Christmas is coming up! We’ll just have to watch and see, won’t we?

A Searing Hot Three-peat

Summer is a distant memory, and winter has decided to pay an early visit. Like Mother Nature, Mega Millions continues with its routine, caring not what mere mortals think. Given how cold it’s been lately, this lottery thought, “Let’s heat things up a bit”. A closer look at the November 18, 2022 results shows that “a bit” is an understatement!

Mega Millions continued to hold the title of “Largest Jackpot”. A Pattern three-peat made the jump to $259 million possible.

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern is the most played Pattern in Mega Millions, in part due to the occasional three-peat! With winning numbers 2, 14, 16, 38, 66 and MB 9, this Pattern has now played 353 times.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern trot onto the lottery scene once again Tuesday night?

Spreading Out and Rising Up

Lottery-wise, Wednesday nights are crowded. Rather than one lottery, two are vying for attention and adoration of players far and wide. Even as people are caught up in the allure of becoming an (almost) overnight millionaire, there’s an organized madness behind the scenes. Lotto Texas and Powerball, from their quietest nights to their biggest blowouts, embrace it willingly. A cold Wednesday night in mid-November is just as good as any.

November 16, 2022 was the night for “organized madness”. One lottery embraced the wonders of a similar spread while the other flirted with a repeating Combination that played twice before. Regardless of the path that was taken, both Lotto Texas and Powerball’s respective jackpots grew to $15.25 million and $93 million.

Pattern Streak and Jackpots Creep

When you see or hear “creep”, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Something icky or disturbing, probably. Or, you’re thinking about all the times a project deadline crept up, and you just knew that you had more time. Now, what if there existed a scenario where something creeping was a good thing? Lottery jackpots, for example, usually grow slowly and steadily, and whoever wins is rewarded handsomely.

November 12, 2022 was a good night for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Their prizes slowly and steadily grow (crept up) to $14.25 million and $59 million, respectively. In fact, one grew with an assist from a Pattern streak.

Mega Millions: (Current) King of Lotteries

Once, there was a lottery with a massive jackpot. People far and wide shot their shot, hoping that fortune would smile on them, and they would be granted the financial freedom many covet. Earlier this week, a lone player gained that fortune. As that lottery was dethroned, another took the crown.

As of the November 11, 2022 drawing, Mega Millions retained its high jackpot. With none of the players able to match the six numbers, the prize grew to $207 million.

Streaking and Rebounding

This week kicked off with a bang, didn’t it? After turning our clocks back one hour, Powerball got knocked back. In fact, we here at Lottery Binge had to wait another day for results! As we came to Wednesday, things didn’t really settle down. Lotto Texas remained in the grasp of the {3-2-1} Pattern and streaked on to $14 million. Powerball’s jackpot bounced back to $47 million, almost as if the smackdown were more of a slap.
