At this time last week, we were doing all that we could to stay warm and were ever grateful the pipes didn’t burst. Now, the snow and ice has melted, and it feels more like spring. Even though calendar-wise it’s only a few weeks away, this warmth is much-welcomed.

Groundhog Day, the one day where we let an animal predict the weather (not really)! Legend has it that when a groundhog sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter will be upon us. Fate wasn’t kind to those who want rising Powerball jackpots. After months of a jackpot that grew uninhibited (to the tune over ¾ billion dollars), this lottery encountered trouble yet again January 30, 2021. After seeing a jackpot boost this past Wednesday night, someone from New Jersey came along Saturday night and won the prize! Powerball’s jackpot was reset to $20 million.

What about Lotto Texas? Well, this lottery kept to itself. As Powerball got knocked down, Lotto Texas climbed to $5.75 million.
