According to meteorology, January 25thsays winter, but Mega Millions said, “No
more!” Having decided to no longer give in to the cold, it broke free of its
icy prison Friday night. Things heated up with a Pattern encore. With a grand prize now at $106 million, maybe
it could help create a warming trend?
General Lottery
Analysis
Fresh from Tuesday night, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance! With winning numbers 8, 16, 30, 38, 61, and MB 10, this Pattern has now played 187 times.
The [1-1-2-1-1] General Order made its 50th appearance and has now played in 26.7% of the 187 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 11.6% of all 431 drawings.

Once all 431 drawings are taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 2.55% of the time.
Once again, the General Order and Specific Order were joined at the hip! Both the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order and the 1 1 2 0 11 Specific Order were last seen in the January 8th, 2019 drawing.
Three-Number
Combination(s)
On the repeating Three-Number Combination side of things, there were two. These weren’t just any Combinations, though; they debuted almost to the day. Within three years of each other!
With a Pattern encore and a $100 million+ prize, Mega
Millions looks primed to end the month with a warming streak. Will a {2-1-1-1-1}
Pattern three-peat clinch it Tuesday night?
The {3-2-1} Pattern slayed it! Let it be known that on January 23, 2019, not only did this Pattern establish a streak in Lotto Texas, it made an appearance in Powerball. Powerball! Rising jackpots kept the fire burning. With the lotteries’ respective jackpots now $5.75 million and $161 million, hopefully the cold will stay away for a while. In the lottery world, at least.
Lotto Texas

Four-Number Combination(s)

This Combination made its first appearance nearly ten years ago! More specifically, in the June 24, 2009 drawing.
Powerball
General Lottery Analysis
The winning
numbers that made the 23rd appearance of this {3-2-1} Pattern possible were 23, 25, 47, 48, 50, and PB 24.

Accompanying
this {3-2-1} Pattern was the debut of the 0
2 0 3 0
1 Specific Order! With that said, this Specific Order has now played
in 8.33% of the twelve drawings where the General Order was [2-3-1]. This Specific Order has also
played in 4.35% of the 23 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. Once

As winter ramps up, will things stay toasty in Lotto Texas
with a {3-2-1} five-peat? Could Powerball’s {3-2-1} Pattern do the unexpected
and make an encore?
There may only be a week left in January but getting through the rest of the month could be a slog! Winter has made itself at home in much of the (northern) U.S. and to dramatic effect.
Meanwhile, the January 22, 2019 Mega Millions drawing was like getting stuck in ice. The {2-2-1-1} Pattern streak ended before it could even start. That is, there was no Pattern encore and forget about an Australia Play or even a playback.
The one glowing ember was a $96 million jackpot, made
possible by no grand prize winner.
General Lottery

with winning numbers 4, 15, 37, 59, 64, and MB 16.

Prior to Tuesday night, both the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order and the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order played December 18, 2018.
Three-Number
Combination(s)
To commemorate the dead of winter, there were no repeating
Three-Number Combinations.
After the crazy-large jackpot that was claimed in the New
Year’s Day drawing, January has been a quiet month for Mega Millions.
Nevertheless, one must wonder if a Pattern streak or other “wild plays” are in
the cards before the month draws to a close. If not, there is the matter of the General and Specific Orders being joined at
the hip. Could the aftermath of Friday’s drawing reveal yet another shared past
playdate?
Would you
believe that there were six repeating
Three-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas last week? And that five of them were
thanks to a repeating Five-Number Combination? Well, nothing that grand
happened January 19th, 2019. As winter held the U.S. in its icy
grip, both Lotto Texas and Powerball matched the chilly mode. The result was a
jackpot rise to the tune of $5.5 million and $144 million, respectively.
Although, to
be fair, last week’s act was a tough one to beat.

With three consecutive appearances for the {3-2-1} Pattern, will
the Pattern streak continue in Lotto Texas? Could Powerball’s {2-1-2-1} Pattern
make an encore Wednesday night?
A snowstorm is making its way across the northern United States.
Lottery Trend headquarters is contending with a blustery day and dropping
temperatures. All this and more to say one thing:
Winter is here.
One way you can beat those winter blues is by, you guessed it, playing Mega Millions! What better night than a Friday, yes? The January 18, 2019 drawing, unlike our weather, was largely uneventful. The grand prize was unclaimed and now stands at $82 million.
General Lottery
Analysis
With winning numbers 2, 43, 48, 62, 64, and MB 24, the
{2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 122nd appearance.

Three-Number
Combination(s)
The lone repeating Three-Number Combination was 2, 43, and
62.
Amazing how much difference a few days can make! Last time, it was Lotto Texas that claimed the night. On January 16th, 2019, things went back to “normal”. That is, Powerball once more became the dominant one. There were a couple of commonalities between them, however. One was rising jackpots. These prizes increased to $5.25 million for Lotto Texas and $129 million for Powerball. The other was Pattern encores.
Lotto Texas

Four-Number Combination(s)
After what
happened this past weekend, Lotto Texas took a well-deserved break from
repeating Four-Number Combinations.
Powerball
General Lottery Analysis
Like Lotto Texas, Powerball saw an encore for its most common Pattern! With winning numbers 14, 29, 31, 56, 61, and PB 1, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 124th appearance.
Given that
there have been 343 Powerball drawings so far, this Pattern has played 36.2% of

Today’s Lottery Binge post is going straight
for the jugular. The January 15th, 2019 Mega Millions drawing looked
an awful lot like what we saw a couple of weeks ago! The only things that
changed were the winning numbers and the outcome. Whereas the new year saw
someone become monstrously wealthy, the grand prize increased to $68 million.
General Lottery

With winning numbers 29, 52, 58, 60, 62, and MB 7, the
{3-1-1-1} Pattern has now played 84 times.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-3-1] General Order and the 0 0 1 1 3 1 Specific Order all played together in the New Year’s Day 2019 drawing!
Three-Number
Combination(s)
There was another major difference that wasn’t mentioned in
the introduction. This past Tuesday night did not see a repeating Three-Number Combination.
Could we see another playback from around the New Year’s
holiday in Friday’s drawing?
We’ve all been warned at some time or another to “Beware the
quiet ones.” Based on our analysis, the resident “quiet one” is Lotto Texas. Although
its prizes don’t achieve the monstrous sizes we’ve seen in Mega Millions and
Powerball, it presents itself in a respectable manner. After all, claiming a
$12.5 million prize is nothing to be down about.
January 12, 2019 was the night that, in an uncharacteristic moment, it was unrestrained. In fact, Lotto Texas ruled the night! There was more—far more—to Saturday night than someone winning. Describing it here in the introduction would be a grave injustice!
Keeping up with this flip-flopped scenario, Powerball was the one keeping to itself.
Its prize rose to $112 million with little fanfare.
Lotto Texas
General Lottery Analysis
The {3-2-1}

Even with the days slowly getting longer, we’re still in the
dead of winter. January is notorious for its being considered a boring month.
Add to that the cold and the snowstorms, it’s no wonder we’re eager for spring
to come! In the meantime, we’ll have to use good ol’ entertainment like, oh,
Mega Millions to keep us going.
The January 11th drawing saw the dream of a
{2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak freeze over. The fallout was a grand prize of $55
million and something that hadn’t been seen in nearly five years!
General Lottery

This Specific Order has also played in 2.48% of the 121 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 427 drawings are taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 0.70% of the time. The 2 0 1 0 2 1 Specific Order was last seen February 14, 2017. This was reconfigured from the 2 0 1 1 1 1 Specific Order seen that night.
Three-Number
Combination(s)
There were also two repeating Three-Number Combinations:
This past Saturday and January 9, 2019 were worlds apart. On Saturday, we saw repeating Four-Number Combinations in both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Wednesday…was not like that. The lotteries took a subtler approach; no encores, no fireworks. Their respective grand prizes rose quietly to $12.5 million and $96 million. But, as (comparatively) quiet as things were, Wednesday night was far from boring!

This
Combination made its debut in the December 11th, 2013 drawing.
Powerball
General Lottery Analysis
As quiet as
Wednesday night may have appeared, Powerball had the most momentum. The 24th-ever
Australia Play was thanks to winning numbers 6, 19, 37, 49, 59, and PB 22!
Given the 341 Powerball drawings, the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order, and the 1 1 1 11 1 Specific Order have all played 7.04% of the time. We last saw an Australia Play right after Christmas. More specifically, on December 26, 2018.
Three-Number
