“No More Shades of Winter” or “How Mega Millions Got its Groove Back”

Cold. Warm. Cold. That has been the way of things in the “real world” weather-wise, and Mega Millions appeared to follow suit. But, there were signs in the April 24, 2018 drawing that spring may stick around this time! One sign was the establishment of a Pattern Streak. And, as we’ve seen in the past, Mega Millions is no stranger to end-of-month grand finales.

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} three-peat was thanks to winning numbers 3, 19, 31, 32, 48, and MB 10. This brings the number of appearances up to 155.

As April starts to give way to May, will Mega Millions continue on its way to a {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern four-peat?

Fighting the Freeze

Things are starting to warm up in Houston and other parts of the U.S. Whether or not we’re going to board the weather roller coaster again anytime soon is best left to the professionals. Meanwhile, we can say that both Lotto Texas and Powerball were determined to heat things up April 21st. “Quiet” was not the word of the evening!

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 17, 20, 24, 28, 49, and 53, the {3-2-1} Pattern played for the 804th time.

Four-Number Combination(s)

Repeating Four-Number Combinations are a fail-safe way to spice it up. There were three of them this time:

  • 17, 24, 49, 53 (Debuted April 23, 2016)
  • 17, 24, 28, 49 (Debuted November 7, 2007)

It’s been a while since we’ve seen three repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas. How fitting that on their return that we’d see one that made its debut over ten years ago!

Will either the {3-2-1} Pattern or the {2-2-1-1} Pattern be bold enough to establish a Pattern streak to end the month?

The Mega Millions We Know

In the past few Mega Millions posts, we’ve been talking about how laid back it has been compared to what we saw last month. And, strangely, how it had matched the wild weather swings in the U.S. The April 20, 2018 drawing showed us that talks of a laid-back April may have been premature. With the month only two-thirds of the way done, it would do best to remember that anything can happen with these lotteries.

This Combination made its debut in the February 24, 2015 drawing. While three years isn’t as legendary a gap as eighteen, or close to it, that’s still a good length of time.

As we hopefully start to put away the winter coats and start dreaming of white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and fireworks, will Mega Millions continue its path to warming up?

Hot Wednesday

Contrasts! That’s been the theme of the month so far. Mega Millions has been much calmer as of late, with Lotto Texas and Powerball tag-teaming as they spice things up. These lotteries joined forces once again on April 11th. They helped us escape the mid-week doldrums with an Australia Play and  repeating Three and Four-Number Combinations.

Getting Back on the Bike

What makes riding a bike wonderful, aside from the exercise, is that you never forget how to ride one. Something similar happened on April 7, 2018. The {3-2-1} Pattern of Lotto Texas fame saw a Pattern encore. Powerball didn’t see one, but there were some rumblings amongst the Combinations.

Winter Comeback

Apparently, in some parts of Lottery Trend Country, and our northern neighbor, winter has yet to die. For those of us snapping pictures of loved ones in fields of bluebonnets, snow on the ground in April seems so…alien. Since we here at Lottery Binge have no bluebonnet photos of our own to share, we’re going to talk about another flower. A flower that doesn’t need water or soil. Just a hearty dose of analysis.

For starters, the April 3, 2018 Mega Millions drawing didn’t see an Australia Play encore. That certainly would’ve warmed things up! Instead, to celebrate the theme of winter’s, pardon the lame pun, icy hold, Tuesday night’s Pattern was a visit to winters past.

A Copycat and a Roaring Sheep

Lotto Texas and Powerball had the honor of closing out March, and what it a month it was! The biggest event was of course the six consecutive appearances of the {3-2-1} Pattern in Lotto Texas. The streak came to an end March 31st. And although one streak ended, another may be in the works.

Will Powerball establish a firm Pattern streak in Wednesday’s drawing?

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern Waltz

Over the past three drawings, Mega Millions found itself intertwined with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. The results of the March 27, 2018 drawing made us bold enough to say it’s madly in love with the Pattern. So much so that the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its fourth consecutive appearance! What with this being the lottery and all, there’s no way that Tuesday night was as smooth as an actual waltz.

Will the Spring Streak continue into Good Friday, or will another Pattern step in?

Streak on Down the Road

We’ve all heard of spring fever, yes? Well, Pattern streak fever struck Mega Millions in the March 23rd drawing. This phenomenon occurs when a Pattern has played at least three times in a row, and it can strike at any time of the year. All we can do is provide analysis. The only cure, if it can be called such, is to let the fever run its course.

General Lottery Analysis

Mega Millions just can’t get enough of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. For the third time in a row, this Pattern has graced the world with its presence. This time, the winning numbers were 4, 8, 23, 53, 59, and MB 17, bringing the number of appearances to 150.
