Ring In April!

Hello again, Lottery Trend fans! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, giving you the latest lottery updates. As March comes to a close, Powerball’s reigning pattern makes a comeback. And now for the details.

Lotto Texas

Last night on March 29, 2017, the winning numbers for Lotto Texas were 7, 9, 11, 18, 23, and 43.

The {4-1-1} Pattern made its 157th appearance and, currently, has appeared in 10.96% of all 1433 drawings. The Pattern last played on March 8, 2017.

The 4 1 1 Specific Order made its 50th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 31.85% of 157 drawings associated with the {4-1-1} Pattern and 3.49% of all 1433 drawings. The 4 1 1 Specific Order last played on October 15, 2016.

There were no repeats in Four Number Combinations.

Powerball

Last night on March 29, 2017, the winning numbers for Powerball were 8, 15, 31, 36, 62 and PB 11.

Powerball’s reigning {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 54th appearance and, currently, has appeared in 34.84% of all 155 drawings. The Pattern last played on March 18, 2017.

The [1-1-2-1-1] General Order made its 11th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 20.37% of 54 drawings associated with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern and approximately 7.1% of all 155 drawings. Like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order last played on March 18, 2017.

The 1 1 2 0 1 1 Specific Order made its 4th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 36.36% of 11 drawings associated with the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order, 7.41% of 54 drawings associated with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, and 2.58% of all 155 drawings. The 1 1 2 0 1 1 Specific Order last played on April 27, 2016.

There were no repeats in Three Number Combinations.

Well, that was kind of short, especially with no repeats in combinations from either Lotto Texas or Powerball. But as always, there will be surprises popping up. Until next time, this is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, signing off.

Simmerin’ Down with a Similar Spread

Wednesday’s drawing didn’t grant us repeating Four-Number Combinations in Lotto Texas or repeating Three-Number Combinations in Powerball. For those of you who had hoped for a Pattern encore or an Australia Play, we’re sorry to say that didn’t happen either. Now, what did happen on the night of March 8, 2017 was a visit from the rare specimen known as the similar spread.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 15, 19, 24, 33, 34, and 47, marking the 156th appearance of the {4-1-1} Pattern.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers

This Pattern has now played in 10.9% of the 1427 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen on October 15, 2016.

The 1 4 1 Specific Order made its 55th appearance, and has now played in 35.3% of the 156 drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 3.85% of all drawings. Prior to Wednesday, this Specific Order previously played on June 18, 2016.

And now, it has come time to discuss the similar spread. The spread for Wednesday’s drawing was 04:05:09:01:13. It was a little over one year ago, in the March 5, 2016 drawing, that there was a similar spread of 04:01:13:09:05. The winning numbers on that night were 5, 9, 10, 23, 32, and 37. As you can see, the differences between the numbers in these separate drawings were the same, but the order was different.

 Powerball

Although Powerball didn’t have a similar spread, it was graced with the presence of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Its 52nd appearance was marked by winning numbers 23, 33, 42, 46, 59, and PB 4.

Winning Powerball numbers

This Pattern has appeared in 34.9% of the 149 Powerball drawings, and remained the most commonly seen Pattern. We last saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern at the beginning of the month.

Making its 13th appearance, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has now played in 25% of the 52 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 8.72% of all Powerball drawings. Prior to Wednesday, this General Order was last seen in the January 18, 2017 drawing.

Our Powerball coverage concludes with the third appearance of the 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order. This Specific Order has played in approximately 3.08% of the 13 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, as well as 5.77% of the 52 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 2.01% of all 149 drawings. The 0 1 2 1 1 1 Specific Order previously played on December 21, 2016.

Daylight Savings is coming for us here in Lottery Trend country. As we look to spring forward soon, will Lotto Texas and Powerball have Pattern encores? Will the ever-elusive exact spread make an appearance?

Repeats! Repeats Everywhere

True to form, the October 15, 2016 Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings were full of energy. What better way to mark the halfway point of the month than the encore of Patterns that played on Wednesday? To add even more whipped cream to this sundae, there were Combinations that played for the first time in years, and a Combination that first played not too long ago.

Lotto Texas

The {4-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance, thanks to winning numbers 2, 7, 12, 15, 24, and 47.

With 155 appearances, and 1386 Lotto Texas drawings thus far, the {4-1-1} Pattern has played 11.2% of the time.

The 4 1 1 Specific Order made its 49th appearance, and unlike the {4-1-1} Pattern did not appear in the October 12th drawing. Instead, we have to go back in the early throes of summer to find when this Specific Order previously played: June 1, 2016. With that said, the 4 1 1 Specific Order has now played in 31.6% of the 155 drawings that have {4-1-1} as the winning Pattern. Taking all 1386 drawings into account, we’re looking at 3.54%.

Saturday’s drawing gave us two Four-Number Combinations that haven’t played in quite some time. One of them played almost ten years ago. These Combinations were:

  • 2, 7, 15, and 24, which first played on October 28, 2006, and
  • 2, 12, 15, and 24, which first played on August 30, 2008

Powerball

Just like Lotto Texas, the Powerball Pattern also made an encore appearance. What’s more is that this particular encore is a three-peat. The {3-1-1-1} Pattern’s three-peat was provided by winning numbers 23, 49, 57, 64, 67, and PB 20.

Making its 17th appearance, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played in 15.7% of the 108 Powerball drawings.

The [1-1-3-1] General Order, although not making an encore, did make a previous appearance not too long ago in the October 8th drawing. Having said that, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played in 41.2% of the 7 drawings that {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When we look at all 108 drawings, this becomes 6.48%.

The 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order played for the second time ever and we have to go back a couple of months to August 10th to see when it first played. Out of the 7 drawings with [1-1-3-1] as the General Order, the 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order has played 28.6% of the time. When we look at the 17 drawings that have {3-1-1-1} as the winning Pattern, this becomes 11.8%, and 1.85% when looking at all 108 drawings.

The Three-Number Combination of 23, 64, and 67 made its second appearance, and like the 0 1 0 1 3 1 Specific Order, it too played for the first time in the August 10th drawing.

As the days grow shorter and the World Series kicks it into high gear, will the {4-1-1} go for a three-peat in Lotto Texas? Will Powerball see a four-peat in {3-1-1-1}?

Takin’ a Chill Pill

Compared to the past few lottery drawings, the October 12th drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball were peaceful. There were no throwbacks to the dial-up days and the Pattern Tango was absent for another night. Even in a state of serenity, we saw a replay (of sorts) in Lotto Texas and a repeat in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 14, 33, 38, 39, 47, and 52.

Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.

The {4-1-1} Pattern made its 154th appearance, its first since the September 24th drawing a few weeks ago. Out of the 1385 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {4-1-1} Pattern has now played 11.1% of the time.

This hint of September carried over to the 1 1 4 Specific Order, which also made its last appearance in the September 24th drawing. Now having appeared 52 times, it has played in 33.8% of the 154 drawings that have {4-1-1} as the winning Pattern. Taking all 1385 drawings into account, the 1 1 4 Specific Order has played 3.75% of the time.

Powerball

Like Lotto Texas, Powerball’s winning Pattern isn’t one that commonly seen. The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 16th appearance with winning numbers 16, 30, 34, 37, 44, and PB 16.

Given that there have now been 107 drawings, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played 14.95% of the time. The {3-1-1-1} in fact played in this past Saturday’s drawing, making this a repeat. Not too shabby!

The [1-3-1-1] General Order made its 7th appearance, its first since the July 30th, 2016 drawing. Out of the 16 drawings that have {3-1-1-1} as the winning Pattern, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has played 43.75% of the time, and 6.54% when looking at all 107 drawings.

Powerball also surprised us with the debut of the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order. With that said, it has appeared in 14.285% of the 7 drawings that have [1-3-1-1] as the General Order. When looking at the 16 drawings where {3-1-1-1} is the winning Pattern, the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order has played 6.25%. This shrinks to 0.93% when looking at all 107 drawings.

Even when taking it easy, Lotto Texas and Powerball are full of surprises! Will Saturday’s drawing be as peaceful as this one, or will it be a blowout?

Back in the Swing of Things

It took a while, but it finally came. Let it be known that on October 11th, 2016, Mega Millions put down the pumpkin spice latte and the slow roast and had a blowout night. The spectacle included, but was not limited to a rarely seen Pattern, and the debut of a new Specific Order.

The {4-1-1} Pattern made its first appearance since the July 22nd, 2016 drawing. The winning numbers were 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, and MB 3.

After 12 appearances and 311 drawings to date, the {4-1-1} Pattern has played 3.86% of the time. To add on, the {4-1-1} is the second-least Pattern played.

The [4-1-1] General Order made its sixth appearance last night, and has appeared in 50% of the 12 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This shrinks considerably to 1.93% when we look at all 311 drawings. Now here’s the kicker: this General Order previously played 1.5 years ago!

That’s not a typo, ladies and gents. Prior to Tuesday’s drawing, the [4-1-1] Pattern was last seen in the April 21st, 2015 drawing.

The 0 0 4 1 0 1 Specific Order made its world premiere. Given the six drawings that have [4-1-1] as the General Order of the night, the 0 0 4 1 0 1 Specific Order has played 16.67% of the time. When looking at the 12 drawings that have {4-1-1} as the winning Pattern, this Specific Order has played 8.33% of the time, and 0.32% when looking at all 311 drawings.

To further prove that it’s no slouch, Mega Millions gave us a repeating Three-Number Combination. The lucky numbers were 42, 45, and MB 3.

Snippet of the Three-Number Combinations from lotterytrend-megamillions.com. The repeating Combo is highlighted in the red box.

The first time this Combination played was back on March 13th, 2015.

When Mega Millions returns from a break, it returns in style. Will this vigor return in Friday’s drawing, or will the enticing taste of pumpkin spice latte lure it into a state of mellowness?

Autumn Combo Rolls

The September 24, 2016 drawings marked the beginning of autumn for Lotto Texas and Powerball. As has been routine for the month of September thus far, any signs of a streak getting off the ground are squashed beyond the third appearance. The Patterns from Wednesday’s drawing didn’t make an encore, and it looks as if the reprieve from the {2-2-1-1}/{2-1-1-1-1} volley in Powerball was short lived. In Lotto Texas, there was a throwback to the pre-YouTube days.

Lotto Texas

Saturday’s winning Pattern was {4-1-1}, provided by 5, 26, 37, 49, 44, and 50.

With its 153rd appearance and 1380 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {4-1-1} Pattern has played 11.1% of the time. The last time we saw this Pattern play was nearly a month ago back on August 27, 2016.

The Specific Order of the evening was 1 1 4, making its 51st appearance. Out of the 153 drawings where the {4-1-1} Pattern played, the 1 1 4 Specific Order has played 33.3% of the time. When looking at all 1380 drawings, this Specific Order has played 3.70% of the time. Like the {4-1-1} Pattern, the 1 1 4 Specific Order previously played in the August 27th drawing.

We wrap up our Lotto Texas coverage with the second appearance of two Four-Number Combinations:

  • 26, 39, 44, and 50, which first played almost three years ago on September 28, 2011, and
  • 5, 26, 39, and 50, which first played April 26, 2003.

Putting things in perspective, YouTube didn’t come about until 2005, and social media was primarily in the form of chat rooms.

Powerball

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern appeared after a one-drawing hiatus. The 36th appearance was thanks to winning numbers 7, 15, 20, 29, 41, and PB 22.

Now that there have been 102 Powerball drawings, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now played 35.3% of the time. This Pattern previously played in the September 14, 2016 drawing.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order made its 14th appearance, its first since the August 6, 2016 drawing. Out of the 36 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern, the [1-2-2-1] General Order has played 38.9% of the time. This becomes 13.7% of the time when looking at all 102 drawings.

The 1 2 2 0 0 1 Specific Order made its first appearance since the June 15, 2016 drawing. Having now appeared three times, and with 14 drawings where the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared, the 1 2 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has played 21.4% of the time. When looking at the 36 drawings in which the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played, this becomes 8.33% and 2.94% when looking at all 102 Powerball drawings.

We saw a repeating Three-Number Combination in the form of 15, 20, and 29.

Snippet of Three-Number Combinations from lotterytrend-powerball.com. The repeating Combination is in the red box.

This Combination made its debut almost a year ago on October 14, 2015.

As we look to the week ahead, will Lotto Texas have another “so last decade” throwback? Will the {2-2-1-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns in Powerball go after each other again?

August Doldrums or The Calm Before the Storm?

Before we begin, we’d like to say “Thank you” to all the commentators out there! There appears to be an issue with our Comments Section. For some reason, a large chunk of comments were sent under one long email on August 23rd and it wound up in our Spam filter. We’re currently looking into this.

And so it’s come to this: the final weekend of August. One would think the August Doldrums are a thing now with no callbacks to the dial-up days in either Lotto Texas or Powerball on Saturday, or watching your favorite (U.S.) football team lose spectacularly during preseason. Nevertheless, there were some rumblings in Powerball. Perhaps {2-2-1-1}’s reign as Most Commonly Played Pattern may be short-lived.

Lotto Texas

On August 27th, 2016, Lotto Texas graced us with the following winning numbers: 5, 30, 37, 42, 45, and 49, marking the 152nd appearance of the {4-1-1} Pattern.

Winning Texas Lotto numbers from lotterytrend.com.

With 1372 drawings to date, the {4-1-1} Pattern has played 11.7% of the time, and was last seen June 18th.

The 1 1 4 Specific Order made its 50th appearance, its first since February 27th, 2016. When we look at the 152 drawings which {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern, this Specific Order has played 32.9% of the time and 3.64% if we look at all 1372 drawings.

Powerball

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 33rd appearance thanks to winning numbers 4, 32, 48, 49, 63, and PB 20.

Last time, we watched the {2-2-1-1} Pattern claim the title of Most Commonly Played in Powerball. With the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern making its first appearance since July 20th (link), these Patterns are now tied yet again. With 94 drawings, they have both played 35.1% of the time.

Getting back to the {2-1-1-1-1}, the [1-1-2-1-1] General Order made its sixth appearance, its first since April 27th (link). This General Order has now played in 18.2% of the 33 drawings the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played and 6.38% of all Powerball drawings.

The 1 0 1 2 1 1 Specific Order made its second appearance, its first since January 20th, 2016. Given the six (6) appearances of the [1-1-2-1-1] General order, the 1 0 1 2 1 1 Specific Order has played 33.3% of the time. This becomes 6.06% of the 33 drawings in which the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played and 2.13% of all Powerball drawings.

As we come to the end of the month (Psst! It’s Wednesday), will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern reclaim its title?

A Visit Down Under and a Series of Firsts

In our last Lotto Texas/Powerball post, we wondered whether or not we’d see the {3-2-1} go for a repeat and if {3-1-1-1} would have a three-peat, respectively. Expectations for these streaks, or the possible beginnings of such, were dashed Wednesday night. Out of the ashes came a Lotto Texas Australia Play and a very rarely played Pattern in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the August 17, 2016 were provided by 5, 14, 21, 23, 41, and 53.

With its 189th appearance, the {2-2-2} Pattern played for the first time since June 11, 2016. Given that there have been 1369 Lotto Texas drawings to date, this Pattern has played 13.8% of the time.

This gave way to the 2 2 2 Specific Order, which also previously played on June 11th, 2016. For Lotto Texas, remember that instances where the Pattern and the Specific Order match are called Australia Plays on our blog. Thus, given the very nature of Australia Plays, the 2 2 2 Specific Order has also appeared in 189 drawings and has played 13.8% of the time.

While not an encore of the {3-2-1} Pattern, an Australia Play is nothing to sneeze at. In fact, this Australia Play also saw a repeat of two Four-Number Combinations!

  • 5, 21, 41, and 53, which first played August 29, 2009

and

  • 5, 14, 21, and 53, which first played September 16, 2015.

With these numbers, the {4-1-1} Pattern has now appeared a grand total of two, yes two, times. Given that we’ve had 91 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 2.20% of the time. This Pattern played for the first time on April 13, 2016.

The [1-4-1] General Order made its debut, and has appeared in half of all drawings in which the {4-1-1} Pattern has played. Taking all 91 drawings into account, the [1-4-1] General Order has played 1.10% of the time.

The 0 0 1 4 0 1 Specific Order also made its debut in Wednesday’s drawing. Like the [1-4-1] General Order, it’s played in 1.10% of all Powerball drawings.

As we look ahead to Saturday’s drawing, will the Lotto Texas Australia Play and the Powerball {4-1-1} Pattern be bold enough to make an encore?

A Night of Encores and Firsts

This Friday’s Mega Millions drawing saw the return of a Pattern that played the previous week, as well as one Specific Order’s first ever appearance.

The winning numbers from the July 22nd, 2016 drawing were as follows: 8, 24, 25, 26, 30, and MB 7.

These numbers followed the {4-1-1} Pattern, which in fact played the previous Friday (July 15, 2016). As of July 22nd, the {4-1-1} Pattern has played in 11 out of 288 drawings, or 3.82% of the time.

The {4-1-1} Pattern gave way to the [1-4-1] General Order, which has now played in 6 out of 11 drawings in which the {4-1-1} has played, or 54.5%. Taking all 288 Mega Millions drawings into account, the [1-4-1] General Order has played 2.08% of the time. Like the {4-1-1} drawing, the [1-4-1] General Order last played on July 15, 2016.

Did the Specific Order also last play on July 15th?

No, no it didn’t. In fact, the 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order played for the first time last night! With that said, the 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order has played 16.7% of the time that the [1-4-1] General Order has played. The 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order has now played 1 out of 11 times that the {4-1-1} Pattern has played, or 9.09%. Finally, taking all 288 Mega Millions drawings into account, the 1 4 0 0 0 1 Specific Order has played 0.35% of the time.

Friday’s Mega Millions drawing also gave us two Three-Number Combinations that played for a second time. These were

  • 24, 26, and MB 7, which first played June 10, 2014.
  • 26, 30, and MB 7, which first played March 15, 2016.

As we look ahead to next week’s Mega Millions, will there be more Specific Orders making their debut? Will the {4-1-1} Pattern be seen again next Friday?

So What’s the 4-1-1? Mega Millions Edition

Even though we’re halfway through the month of July, it looks like June has found its way back into Mega Millions. Apparently, June likes to come and go!

The winning numbers from the July 15th, 2016 Mega Millions drawing were 16, 51, 52, 56, 58, and MB 4.

Winning Mega Millions numbers taken from lotterytrend-megamillions.com

Mega Millions had the {4-1-1} Pattern, making it the tenth appearance. Given that there have been 286 drawings to date, the {4-1-1} Pattern has played 3.75% of the time. This Pattern previously played on June 10th, 2016.

The winning numbers followed the [1-4-1] General Order, and its total number of appearances is now five. Out of the 10 times the {4-1-1} Pattern has played, this General Order has played 50% of the time. Taking all 286 Mega Millions drawings into account, the [1-4-1] General Order has played 1.75% of the time. The [1-4-1] General Order also played in the June 10th, 2016 Mega Millions drawing.

So what of the Specific Order? Did the ghost of this past June pay it a visit as well?

It turns out that that wasn’t the case. In fact, the 0 1 0 4 0 1 Specific Order made its first appearance last night! Since the 0 1 0 4 0 1 Specific Order has only made one appearance, it’s only played 20% of the time the [1-4-1] General Order has played. This becomes 10% if we consider the 10 drawings in which the {4-1-1} Pattern has played. Finally, if we look at all 286 drawings to date, the 0 1 0 4 0 1 Specific Order has only played 0.35% of the time.

Looking ahead to next week, will we see a repeat of the {4-1-1} Pattern or will another Pattern play? Will we see the debut of other Specific Orders?
