Mega Millions’ May Finale

With the school year wrapping up and Memorial Day being the unofficial start of summer, Mega Millions was revved up and ready to go! Even though it wasn’t the lottery to finish out May (that joint honor belongs to Powerball and Lotto Texas this year), Tuesday night was anything but quiet. An effective use of a Pattern encore pushed the jackpot over the $200 million line. More specifically, the jackpot grew to $203 million.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern encore of May 30, 2023 was thanks to 13, 16, 40, 64, 68 and MB 21. This Pattern has now played 371 times. There have now been 884 Mega Millions drawings, and this Pattern has been featured in 42% of them. Recall that the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern was last seen May 26, 2023.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, now with 86 appearances, has played in 23.2% of the 371 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 884 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 9.73% of the time. April 28, 2023 was the last time we saw the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order.

Now with 21 appearances, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has played in 24.4% of the 86 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 5.66% of the 371 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 2.38% of all 884 drawings. Prior to Tuesday night, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order played September 13, 2022.
