New York’s New Year’s Charm

First, a Happy 2019 to all you readers out there. Can you believe that the second decade of the 21st century is almost over? Just one more year (two if you count 2020) to go!

Speaking of the new year, New York City’s Times Square is said to be one of the hottest spots to ring in the new year. After the January 1st Mega Million’s drawing, “Lottery Charmer” can be another thing the city is known for. Right after Christmas, a Powerball winner was crowned in Brooklyn. Tuesday night saw a Long Islander ring in the new year with a whopping $425 million!

As is tradition, the grand prize decreased to a respectable $40 million.
