The 4-1-1 on the {4-1-1} Pattern

Any hopes for a {2-2-1-1} Pattern streak were dashed in the June 12th drawing. Additionally, there was no jackpot winner, and the prize now stands at $161 million. Nonetheless, Mega Millions saw a shake up, and Lottery Binge has the 4-1-1 on Tuesday’s drawing. For starters, there were a couple of 4-1-1’s.

General Lottery Analysis

The first 4-1-1, of course, was the {4-1-1} Pattern. Its tenth appearance was thanks to winning numbers 1, 3, 5, 8, 70 and MB 3.

As of the 366th Mega Millions drawing, this Pattern has played 2.73% of the time. The {4-1-1} Pattern was last seen on May 4, 2018.

The second 4-1-1 was the [4-1-1] General Order. With its sixth appearance, this General Order has now played in 60% of the ten drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 366 drawings, this General Order has played 1.64% of the time. Fun fact: The [4-1-1] General Order played alongside the {4-1-1} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned May 4th drawing.

Tuesday’s drawing saw the debut of the 4 0 0 0 1 1 Specific Order. With that said, this Specific Order has played in roughly 16.7% of the six drawings where the General Order was [4-1-1]. This Specific Order has also now played in 10% of the ten drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.27% of all 366 drawings.

Three Number Combination(s)

Nothing like a repeating Three-Number Combination to keep things “shook up”! The lone Combination was 1, 5, 8.

This Combination made its debut in the September 23, 2016 drawing.

Will there be another shakeup in Friday’s drawing? Could the {4-1-1} Pattern be daring enough to make an encore?

Underneath the Uncommon Pattern and Encore

With no one getting all six numbers correct in either Lotto Texas or Powerball, the jackpots have now gone up to $6.75 million and $121 million, respectively. What with a Pattern streak in Lotto Texas shattered, then that means the night was uneventful, right? Not at all! In contrast to the more obvious shows of grandiosity as of late, the excitement was subtler June 9, 2018.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The not-so-common {4-2} Pattern made its 170th appearance with winning numbers 10, 14, 17, 18, 21, and 24.

{4-2} isn’t a rare Pattern, but not a common one, either. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Of the 1558 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 10.9% of the time. We last saw this Pattern on January 27, 2018.

Now with 35 appearances, the 4 2 0 Specific Order has played in 20.6% of the 170 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern and in 2.25% of all 1558 drawings. Amazingly, this Specific Order played alongside the {4-2} Pattern in the earlier-mentioned January 27th drawing!

Four-Number Combination(s)

Just as it was when the {4-2} Pattern last appeared, there were no repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Fresh from its appearance this past Wednesday, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern went on to make an encore. Its 82nd appearance was thanks to winning numbers were 6, 10, 15, 25, 36, and PB 14.

Given that there have been 280 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 29.3% of the time.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 31st appearance and has now played in 37.8% of the 82 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 11.1% of all 280 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, this General Order played on May 2, 2018.

Now with five appearances, the 2 2 1 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 16.1% of the 31 drawings where [2-2-1-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 6.10% of the 82 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.79% of all 280 drawings. This Specific Order was last seen on November 18, 2017.

Three-Number Combination(s)

There may have been a {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore, but that didn’t lead to another night of repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will other not-so-common Patterns make an appearance this week? Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern go on to make a “three-peat”?

The Oddities of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern

In the last Mega Millions post, the question was whether the {2-2-1-1} Pattern would make an encore, or if something unexpected would happen.

The results of the June 8th lottery analysis pointed to…both.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern not only made an encore, there were a few other surprises. That, combined with a jackpot now at $144 million, has turned up the heat in Mega Millions.

General Lottery Analysis

The 104th appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was thanks to winning numbers 14, 30, 33, 44, 56, and MB 13.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore wasn’t alone. Source: lotterytrend-megamillions.com.

Given that there have been 365 Mega Millions drawings, this Pattern has played 28.5% of the time. Remember, it was just this past Tuesday when this Pattern last appeared.

The encore appearance of the [1-2-2-1] General Order brought its total number of appearances up to 36. This General Order has now played in 34.6% of the 104 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 365 drawings, this General Order has played 9.86% of the time.

Despite the Pattern and General Order encores, this did not hold true for the Specific Order. Now with three appearances, the 1 0 2 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 8.33% of the 36 drawings where [1-2-2-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has also played in 2.88% of the 104 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.82% of all 365 drawings. Prior to Friday night, this Specific Order was seen on December 2nd, 2016. This was a little over 18 months ago.

A span of a year-and-a-half between Specific Order play dates is interesting, but it pales in comparison to what else took place Friday night.

Four-Number Combination

The header is not a typo. A repeating Four-Number Combination really did take place, and that Combination was 14, 30, 33, and 44!

This Combination made its debut two years ago in the May 12th, 2015 drawing.

Three Number Combination(s)

Naturally, a repeating Four-Number Combination is never alone. Inside it are four repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 14, 30, 33
  • 14, 30, 44
  • 30, 33, 44
  • 14, 33, 44

And, like the “mother” repeating Four-Number Combination, these Combinations made their debut in the earlier-mentioned May 12th drawing.

With rising temperatures (and a rising jackpot), will Tuesday’s drawing see a {2-2-1-1} Pattern “three-peat” packed with repeating Combinations of the Three and Four-Number kind?

A Pattern Streak and a World Debut

One word sums up the night of June 6th: “Momentum”. One way to build momentum in the Lottery World is to have jackpots climb up. The respective prizes are now $6.5 million and $105 million. Another way is to stick with a Pattern Streak and throw in a brand new Specific Order.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Right off the heels of this past Saturday’s drawing, the {3-2-1} Pattern made its fourth consecutive appearance. This time, the winning numbers were 4, 5, 13, 23, 36, and 52.

This Pattern has now played 812 times, and of the 1557 Lotto Texas drawings, it has played in 52.2% of them.

Now with 145 appearances, the 3 2 1 Specific Order has played in 17.9% of the 812 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 9.31% of all 1557 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, this Specific Order played on May 2, 2018.

Four-Number Combination(s)

The “four-peat” was all the momentum Lotto Texas had. There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations this time.

Powerball

Given that there have been 279 Powerball drawings so far, this Pattern has played 29% of the time, and was last seen on May 23, 2018.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order made its 26th appearance and has now played in 32.1% of the 81 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 9.32% of all 279 Powerball drawings. We last saw the [2-1-2-1] General Order in the March 28, 2018 drawing.

And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for. The 0 2 1 2 0 1 Specific Order made its world debut! With that said, this Specific Order has played in 3.85% of the 26 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 1.23% of the 81 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.36% of all 279 drawings.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Powerball got an extra boost of momentum with two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

Will things heat up on Saturday night with a “five-peat” for the {3-2-1} Pattern or will we see something truly unexpected?

A More “Normal” Approach by the {2-2-1-1} Pattern

Compared to the Pattern streak that happened last month and the playback that happened last time, Tuesday’s drawing was comparatively “normal”. So “normal” in fact that no one got all six numbers in the June 5th drawing. With the jackpot now standing at $125 million, what exactly happened Tuesday night?

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 103rd appearance with 22, 33, 41, 48, 52, and MB 4.

This Pattern has now played in 28.3% of the 364 Mega Millions drawings and was last seen on  May 29th, 2018. For those of you out there new to the Lottery Binge experience, “364” refers to the number of drawings that use the “regular” 1-70 and Mega Balls 1-25. The change went into effect at the end of October 2017. This was changed from an earlier system.

With its 35th appearance, the [1-2-2-1] General Order has played in roughly 34% of the 103 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 9.62% of all 364 drawings. Prior to Tuesday night, this General Order played on April 27th, 2018.

Now with seven appearances, the 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order has played in 20% of the 35 drawings where the General Order was [1-2-2-1]. This Specific Order also played in 6.80% of the 103 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.92% of all 364 drawings. The 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order was last seen on February 9th, 2018.

Three Number Combination(s)

Despite the “normality”, there were two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 22, 33, 41 (Debuted July 25th, 2014)
  • 33, 52, MB 4 (Debuted January 21st, 2014)

As Mega Millions continues to settle into June, will Friday’s drawing see a {2-2-1-1} Pattern encore, or something unexpected?

The {3-2-1} Pattern Saga Continues

One sequel isn’t enough these days! It’s common for there to be one movie after the original story, but nowadays, Part III or higher shows up. There have even been instances where the final part of a series is split into two movies. None of that “part splitting” is present in lotteries or lottery analysis, that’s for sure, but Pattern streaks are a popular go-to.

The days are getting hotter in Houston, and Lotto Texas and Powerball followed suit on June 2nd.  Both lotteries saw their most commonly seen Patterns and with no grand prize winners, their respective jackpots now stand at $6.25 million and $87 million.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern three-peat was thanks to winning numbers 6, 26, 34, 40, 43, and 54. This Pattern has now played 811 times.

Given that there have been 1556 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played in 52.1% of them. Recall that the {3-2-1} Pattern was recently seen in this past Wednesday’s drawing and before then, on May 26, 2018.

Now with 146 appearances, the 1 2 3 Specific Order has played in 18% of the 811 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 9.38% of all 1556 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, we last saw this Specific Order on March 17, 2018.

Four-Number Combination(s)

There were two repeating Four Number Combinations:

  • 6, 26, 40, 54 (Debuted September 8, 2001)
  • 6, 26, 34, 40 (Debuted August 12, 2015)

Unlike the last time the {3-2-1} Pattern appeared, this instance was not a playback, and there was one more repeating Four-Number Combination. You could say that this {3-2-1} Pattern sequel was different enough to prevent a rehash.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 97th appearance with winning numbers 23, 25, 37, 44, 64, and PB 7.

Now with six appearances, the 0 2 1 1 1 1 Specific Order has played in 23.1% of the 26 drawings where [2-1-1-1-1] was the General Order. This Specific Order has played in 6.19% of the 97 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 2.16% of all 278 drawings. The 0 2 1 1 1 1 Specific Order accompanied the [2-1-1-1-1] General Order in the earlier-mentioned April 25th drawing.

Will either the {3-2-1} Pattern or {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern show up again in Wednesday’s drawing? Will there be more repeating Three and Four-Number Combinations?

It’s *Just* the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, Right?

June 1st has come and gone, and Mega Millions had the “honor” of starting the month. With the jackpot now standing at $110 million, could this be a buildup to an insanely large one later this summer? Time will tell.

Now, the title of today’s post has a mild spoiler. Yes, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played, but “So what?” you wonder. Well, it is the most commonly seen Mega Millions Pattern by a good margin. That, and when this Pattern plays, there’s usually something more behind it.

General Lottery Analysis

The 161st appearance of the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern featured winning numbers 5, 24, 52, 62, 66, and MB 17.

This Pattern has now played in 44.4% of the 363 Mega Millions drawings.

Moving onto the General Order, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order made its 38th appearance. This General Order has now played in 23.6% of the 161 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 10.5% of all 363 drawings.

Now with three appearances, the 1 1 0 1 2 1 Specific Order has played in 7.89% of the 38 drawings where the General Order was [1-1-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 1.86% of the 161 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.83% of all 363 drawings.

Summer is a time of blockbusters, competition shows, and whatnot, but there’s another thing that it’s famous for, or was. For all you older readers out there, remember when all the TV shows had aired their last episodes of the season (or ever), and there was nothing but repeats? Some things repeat, or at least rhyme. Earlier in the week, Mega Millions had a playback with a different Pattern-General Order-Specific Order group. There was another, this time with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, and the 1 1 0 1 2 1 Specific Order. These three were last seen a couple of weeks ago in the May 18, 2018 drawing.

Three Number Combination(s)

Amidst all the excitement of yet another playback, there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern make an encore, or better yet, will a playback occur in Tuesday’s drawing?
