Watch Out for the Quiet One

We’ve all been warned at some time or another to “Beware the quiet ones.” Based on our analysis, the resident “quiet one” is Lotto Texas. Although its prizes don’t achieve the monstrous sizes we’ve seen in Mega Millions and Powerball, it presents itself in a respectable manner. After all, claiming a $12.5 million prize is nothing to be down about.

January 12, 2019 was the night that, in an uncharacteristic moment, it was unrestrained. In fact, Lotto Texas ruled the night! There was more—far more—to Saturday night than someone winning. Describing it here in the introduction would be a grave injustice!

Keeping up with this flip-flopped scenario, Powerball was the one keeping to itself. Its prize rose to $112 million with little fanfare.

Is another repeating Five-Number Combinations on the horizon for Lotto Texas Wednesday night? Could either it or Powerball see a Pattern encore?

Far from the Madness

This past Saturday and January 9, 2019 were worlds apart. On Saturday, we saw repeating Four-Number Combinations in both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Wednesday…was not like that. The lotteries took a subtler approach; no encores, no fireworks. Their respective grand prizes rose quietly to $12.5 million and $96 million. But, as (comparatively) quiet as things were, Wednesday night was far from boring!

Triple Fours

If you’ll excuse the bad pun, there was a shakeup Saturday night. On January 5, 2019, there were three repeating Four-Number Combinations. Where one of these showed up may surprise you!

Meanwhile, the grand prizes for Lotto Texas and Powerball went unclaimed; the jackpots are now $11.75 million and $82 million, respectively.

If Saturday night was anything to go by, 2019 looks to be an interesting year in the lottery world! Will either the {2-2-1-1} Pattern or the {3-2-1} Pattern make an appearance Wednesday night? Could another Four-Number Combination rear its head in Powerball?

New Year’s Delicacies: Lotto Texas and Powerball Edition

January 2nd is often a bummer. Many people head back to work and school* and it’ll be a while before another big holiday comes around.

*Not applicable to the Southern Hemisphere, where it’s summer

This year may be better than most, for the second day of 2019 fell on a Wednesday. Not only is that a shorter work week, it’s lottery night! Lotto Texas and Powerball greeted the new year with rarely-seen plays. In fact, those very plays were responsible for the grand prizes growing to $11.25 million and $69 million, respectively.

Mostly?

Both Lotto Texas and Powerball ended the year on a classy note; they stuck to their most commonly seen Patterns. Also, with no grand prize winners, their respective jackpots eased upwards to $10.5 million and $53 million.

Have a Happy New Year, and we’ll see y’all in 2019!

Gift of the Powerball

Lotto Texas and Powerball were like the Northern and Southern Hemispheres December 26th. They were polar opposites (no pun intended)! While it’s winter in New York City, it’s summertime in Sydney.

Speaking of New York City, Powerball gifted one player from Brooklyn with $298.4 million! That brought the jackpot down to a more “respectable” $40 million. Lotto Texas, ever the classy one, saw its jackpot ease on upward to $10 million.
