Being Green

St. Patrick’s Day. A holiday that, believe it or not, is more popular in the United States than it is in Ireland. Other words that come to mind for that day are usually “green”, “shamrock”, or “Guinness”. This year, Lotto Texas and Powerball had the honor of holding their drawings on St. Patrick’s Day. Well, night, technically. And what a night it was!

Will the {3-2-1} Pattern continue its streak in Lotto Texas Wednesday night? Could Powerball see repeating Three-Number Combinations?

Keyword: Common

Wednesday is generally a “No big thrills” kind of day in the “real world”. For many people, it’s two more days until Friday, and hey, it’s five o’ clock somewhere, right? There’s still the matter of Wednesday night lotteries, however. On March 14, 2018, both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their most commonly played Patterns. Lotto Texas also got an extra boost or two.

Will there be Pattern encores on Saturday?

Seeing Double

It’s not often that the same Pattern plays across two lotteries at once! Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw the same Pattern on March 10, 2018. But, due to the nature of each lottery, this was where all similarities ended. Our analysis showed them going onto wildly divergent paths.

Meat pie!? What does that have to do with lottery analysis? It just so happened that March 7th saw another Australia Play. That, and there’s more to Australian cuisine than Vegemite. Play That Back

Lotto Texas and Powerball had the honor of playing on February 28, 2018. The month ended with one word: “playback”. In fact, our February analysis for Lotto Texas and Powerball kicked off with not one playback, but two. Which lottery, or lotteries, ended the month the way it started?

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 1, 5, 18, 39, 45, and 52, bringing the number of appearances of the {3-3} Pattern up to 129.

Before moving on to the repeating Four-Number Combination(s) coverage, we would like to point out the Specific Order. Note that even though Lotto Texas saw a playback, it did not see an Australia Play. The 3 0 3 Specific Order was not the only one that could have played.

A Pattern’s Icy Grip

In the nearly two years Lottery Binge has been online, one of our favorite things to cover is the Pattern streak. These occur when a Pattern has played at least three consecutive times. Three or four consecutive appearances seems to be the norm, but there have been cases of five or even six appearances.

Although the biggest ones we’ve covered occurred during the summers of 2016 and 2017, February 21st reminded us that these streaks can happen at any time.
