Lotto Texas Retro Flirt and Powerball’s New Champion

Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw their Most Commonly Played Patterns on August 24^th, 2016. You’re probably thinking “So? Of course the Most Commonly Played Pattern is going to show up the most. That’s no big deal!” Sure it was no big deal for the Lotto Texas drawing; it’s most commonly seen Pattern has a comfortable lead. The upset was in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 5, 19, 27, 31, 48, and 51.

Making its 715^th appearance, the {3-2-1} has no other Pattern that can even come close to taking its title as Most Commonly Played. With 1371 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {3-2-1} Pattern has played 52.2% of the time. Last we saw this Pattern was about two weeks ago on August 13^th.

The 1 3 2 Specific Order played for the 105^th time, its first since July 9^th, 2016. In the 715 drawings which the {3-2-1} Pattern was the winner, the 1 3 2 Specific Order has played 14.7% of the time. This becomes 7.66% when we take all 1371 drawings into account.

While the Lotto Texas drawing appeared “safe”, there was more to it once we popped the hood. A Four-Number Combination that hadn’t seen the light of day in fifteen years made its second appearance!

This Combination was provided by 5, 19, 27, and 31, having first played August 22^nd, 2001.

And to think that dial-up was still a thing. Simpler times indeed!

Powerball

Even though Lotto Texas got to have some fun Wednesday night, Powerball was where all the fireworks were this time around. For starters, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has dethroned the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern as the most commonly played Pattern. How, you ask? By the power of these six numbers: 9, 11, 25, 64, 65 and PB 16.

Not only did the {2-2-1-1} make its 33^rd appearance, this dethroning was the work of an encore! This Pattern previously played August 20^th. With 93 Powerball drawings to date, the {2-2-1-1} has now played 35.5% of the time.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order also made a previous appearance in the August 20^th drawing. Now playing for the 10^th time, and taking the 33 drawings where {2-2-1-1} has played, the [2-1-2-1] General Order has played 30.3% of the time. When looking at all 93 drawings, this becomes 10.8%.

Finally, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order made its 3^rd appearance. When looking at the 10 drawings where [2-1-2-1] was the General Order of the night, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order has played 30% of the time. This becomes 9.09% when looking at the 33 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and 3.23% when looking at all 93 drawings. Just like the winning Pattern and General Order, the 2 1 0 0 2 1 Specific Order previously played in the August 20^th drawing.

As we enter the last weekend of August, will other Combinations that haven’t played since the dial-up days make an encore? Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern retain its lead in Powerball or will {2-1-1-1-1} try to reclaim its title?

August Fireworks Continue

Fireworks seem to be a thing for Lotto Texas and Powerball on Saturday nights this month. As Olympians take to the (track and) field and families across the U.S. have mixed feelings about the start of another school year, we saw some big plays Saturday. Lotto Texas saw the return of its most commonly played Pattern and Powerball saw a repeat of a Pattern that doesn’t play often at all.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for August 13, 2016 turned out to be 9, 11, 12, 25, 37, and 38.

The {3-2-1} Pattern leaves all other Patterns in the dust, cementing its lead even more so with its 714^th appearance. Now with 1368 Lotto Texas drawings to date, the {3-2-1} Pattern has played 52.2% of the time. We previously saw this Pattern play exactly one week prior on August 6, 2016.

The 3 1 2 Specific Order made its 128^th appearance, and given the 714 times the {3-2-1} Pattern has played, the 3 1 2 Specific Order has played 17.9% of the time. When we look across all 1368 drawings, this becomes 9.38% of the time. The 3 1 2 Specific Order was last seen July 6, 2016.

The August 13^th drawing also gave us four Four-Number Combinations. These Four-Number Combinations were first seen anywhere from the infancy of social media to the rise of Game of Thrones memes.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers for the August 13^th drawing were provided by 38, 44, 60, 64, 69, and PB 6.

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made a repeat play, clinching its 13^th appearance in Powerball. With 90 Powerball drawings to date, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played 14.4% of the time. We previously saw this Pattern play in Wednesday’s drawing (August 10, 2016).

The General Order of the night was [1-1-3-1], bringing its total number of appearances to four. Considering the 13 times the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played, the [1-1-3-1] General Order has played 30.8% of the time. This goes down to 4.44% when taking all 90 Powerball drawings into account. Like the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, this General Order was previously seen in the August 10^th drawing.

All of this gave way to the 0 0 1 1 3 1 Specific Order, its first appearance since May 4, 2016. With its second appearance, the 0 0 1 1 3 1 Specific Order has played in 50% of the drawings that the [1-1-3-1] General Order has appeared. This becomes 15.4% if we look at the 13 drawings in which the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has played and 2.22% of all Powerball drawings.

Finally, there was a Three-Number Combination provided by 60, 64, and PB 6, making its first appearance since June 29, 2016.

Amidst the fury of school starting and Olympic coverage, will the Powerball {3-1-1-1} Pattern go for a three-peat? Will the Lotto Texas {3-2-1} Pattern try to establish another streak?

Smooth Lotto Texas and Shooting Star Powerball

Lotto Texas and Powerball flipped the script Saturday night. Unlike what we saw in the previous two drawings, Lotto Texas had a play that was a bit more down-to-earth. Meanwhile, a Powerball Pattern played catch-up.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the August 6^th, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing were 9, 18, 19, 40, 41, and 45.

These numbers followed the {3-2-1} Pattern, which, with its 713^th appearance, continues to be far and away the most commonly seen Lotto Texas Pattern. With 1366 drawings to date, the {3-2-1} Pattern has played 52.2% of the time. Prior to Saturday’s drawing, we last saw this Pattern on July 20^th, 2016.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to the 106^th appearance of the 2 1 3 Specific Order, its first since June 29^th, 2016. The 2 1 3 Specific Order has now appeared 14.9% of the time (106/713) when the {3-2-1} Pattern played, and 7.76% of the time when we look at all 1366 Lotto Texas drawings.

Saturday’s drawing also gave us two Four-Number Combinations:

18, 40, 41, and 45, which first played March 9^th, 2016,

and

9, 19, 41, and 45, which first played January 23^rd, 2016.

While it looks like Lotto Texas took a more familiar approach, Powerball continues to aim high.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers for August 6^th, 2016 were as follows: 20, 33, 36, 47, 52, and PB 12.

Once again, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played, having just appeared in the August 3^rd, 2016 Powerball drawing! Now with 31 appearances, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared in 31 out of 88 drawings, or 35.2% of the time.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern breaks down into a [1-2-2-1] General Order this time, the first since July 27^th, 2016. With 13 appearances, the [1-2-2-1] General Order has played 41.9% of the time when we look at the 31 times in which the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played, and 14.8% of the time when all 88 Powerball drawings are taken into account.

Finally, we saw the 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order play for the first time since October 7^th, 2015. Now having played twice, the 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order’s stats break down as follows:

15.4% of the time (2/13) the [1-2-2-1] General Order has played
6.45% of the time (2/31) the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played

and

2.27% of the time (2/88) when all Powerball drawings are taken into account.

As we look ahead to next week, will the {2-2-1-1} Powerball Pattern go for a three-peat? Will Lotto Texas get cozy with the {3-2-1} Pattern?

{3-2-1} Comes Back and Powerball Encores

Both the Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings saw the appearance of their most commonly played Patterns. Not only that, but Powerball was full of encores!

Lotto Texas

The July 20^th, 2016 Lotto Texas gave us the following winning numbers: 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 38.

The winning Pattern was {3-2-1}, and having now played 712 times out of 1361 drawings, it leaves all other Patterns in the dust. How so? The {3-2-1} Pattern has played 52.3% of the time. Before the July 20^th drawing, this Pattern played on July 13^th, 2016.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to the 2 3 1 Specific Order, bringing its total number of plays to 117. Looking at just the number of times the {3-2-1} Pattern has played (712), the 2 3 1 Specific Order has played 16.4%. Taking all 1361 Lotto Texas drawings into account, the 2 3 1 Specific Order has played 8.60% of the time. This Specific Order has previously played on June 15^th, 2016.

One noteworthy observation in Lotto Texas’s winning numbers is that 18, 19, 20, and 21 appeared one after the other. This does not happen very often!

Powerball

The winning numbers for Powerball’s July 20^th, 2016 drawing were 6, 25, 35, 58, 66, and PB 5.

These numbers followed the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which has now played 32 times. Given that there have been 83 Powerball drawings, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played 38.6% of the time. Although it doesn’t leave other Patterns in the dust like Lotto Texas’s’ {3-2-1}, the {2-1-1-1-1} has a comfortable lead. The {2-1-1-1-1} previously played on July 9^th, 2016.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern gave way to the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, which has played 15 times as of the July 20^th drawing. This General Order has played in 46.9% of Powerball drawings in which the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played. With all 83 Powerball drawings taken into account, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has played 18.1% of the time. Just like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order previously played on July 9^th, 2016.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order gave way to the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order, now having played 6 times. Out of the 15 times the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has played, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has played 40% of the time. If we take into account the 32 times the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has played 18.8% of the time. Finally, with all 83 Powerball drawings accounted for, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has played 7.23% of the time.

And just like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern and the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order played on July 9^th, 2013!

Looking ahead to Saturday’s drawing, will the Lotto Texas {3-2-1} Pattern establish another streak? Will Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern make an encore appearance?

{3-2-1} Five in a Row and June Returns to Powerball

In the July 13^th drawings, Lotto Texas basked in the July sun, whereas Powerball was visited by June. More specifically, Powerball was visited by this past June.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers in the July 13^th, 2016 Lotto Texas drawings were 3, 7, 16, 27, 34, and 46.

As of today, we can say that the {3-2-1} Pattern has made five, yes five consecutive appearances! The past four appearances were on June 29^th, July 2nd, July 6^th, and July 9^th. The July 13^th drawing brought the number of {3-2-1} Pattern appearances up to 711. Given the 1359 Lotto Texas drawings to date, this Pattern has played 52.3% of the time. There is no contest. The {3-2-1} Pattern continues to be far and away the most commonly seen Pattern in Lotto Texas!

The 3 2 1 Specific Order has now played 127 times, and in fact made a previous appearance in the July 2^nd, 2016 drawing. Given the 711 times in which the {3-2-1} Pattern has played, this Specific Order has appeared in approximately 17.9% of these drawings. Taking all 1359 Lotto Texas drawings into account, the 3 2 1 Specific Order has played 9.35% of the time.

The July 13^th, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing also saw a Four-Number Combination play in the form of 16, 27, 34,46. The first time this Combination played was back on September 18^th, 2013.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers for July 13^th, 2016 were 3, 15, 29, 54, 57 and PB 10.

These numbers followed the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, which in fact played on June 25^th, 2016. The {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern has now appeared in 9 of 81 Powerball drawings. Given the {1-1-1-1-1-1} Pattern, we had a [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order and a 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order. Since this an Australia Play, that means the [1-1-1-1-1-1] General Order and the 1 1 1 1 1 1 Specific Order have also appeared in 9 out of 81 drawings. All three have played in 11.1% of all Powerball drawings.

As we’ve explained in previous posts, an Australia Play is a fascinating event. With Powerball, it means that the Pattern, General Order, and Specific Order are the same. Looking back on fourth grade geography (or a Google search), Australia is the only country that’s also a continent. Not only that, but Australia is the only permanently inhabited continent entirely within the Southern Hemisphere.

There was only one place where June didn’t have a grip on Powerball, and that was in the Three-Number Combination. This Combination was brought to us by 15, 29, and 10, and it first played on January 2^nd, 2016.

As we look ahead to Saturday’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings, will Lotto Texas see a break from the {3-2-1} Pattern? Will Powerball see an Australia Play encore?

Lotto Texas {3-2-1} Four-Peat and Powerball {2-1-1-1-1} Encore

In the July 9^th Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings, we bid adieu to June and say “Welcome back” to the July 6^th, 2016 plays in more ways than one.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the July 9^th, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing were 6, 19, 22, 28, 39, and 49.

For the fourth time in a row, the {3-2-1} Pattern has played! The {3-2-1} Pattern has now played in 710 of 1358 Lotto Texas drawings. With a stat of 52.3%, it retains its position as the most commonly seen Lotto Texas Pattern by a country mile.

The Specific Order was 1 3 2, which previously played on May 7^th, 2016. As of the July 9^th drawing, this Specific Order has appeared in 104 of the 710 drawings in which the {3-2-1} Pattern has played. This is roughly 14.7% of the time. However, if we take all 1358 Lotto Texas drawings into account, we see that the 1 3 2 Specific Order has played 7.66% of the time.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers for the July 9^th, 2016 drawing were 10, 28, 32, 61, 64, and PB12.

These numbers played in the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern and have now appeared in 31 of 80 Powerball drawings, or 38.8% of the time. This Pattern not only last played on July 6^th, 2016, it continues to be the most commonly seen Powerball Pattern to date.

The General Order was a [1-1-1-2-1], which also played on July 6^th, 2016. As of July 9^th, the General Order has appeared in 14 of the 31 drawings in which the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played. This comes out to approximately 45.2% of the time. Taking all 80 Powerball drawings into account, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has played 17.5% of the time.

Last night’s numbers followed the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order, having previously played on July 6^th, 2016. Having now appeared in 5 out of 14 drawings in which the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has played, or 35.7% of the time. With all 80 Powerball drawings to date taken into account, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has now been seen 6.25% of the time.

We ended the previous week with June loosening its grip on Lotto Texas and Powerball. Is this only temporary, or will plays of Junes past come back and dominate? Will the Lotto Texas {3-2-1} Pattern make a fifth consecutive appearance, and will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern see a three-peat?

The June Is Strong With These Two

Just like we saw with Mega Millions on Tuesday, the Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings were covered in June. Not just any June, but this past June. We also saw a Lotto Texas three-peat!

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the July 6, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing were 2, 3, 17, 35, 41, and 44.

The winning Pattern was a {3-2-1}, which in fact played on July 2, 2016, making this a three-peat appearance. As of the July 6, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing, the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared in 709 times out of 1357, or 52.2%.

The Specific Order was a 3 1 2, which last appeared in the June 22, 2016 drawing. The 3 1 2 Specific Order has now appeared in 127 of the 709 drawings, or 17.9% of the time in which the {3-2-1} Pattern has played. If we were to take all 1357 Lotto Texas drawings into account, then the 3 1 2 Specific Order has appeared in about 9.4% of the drawings.

Looks like Lotto Texas had one foot in June, and one foot in July.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers for July 6, 2016 were as follows: 2, 24, 31, 57, 66, and PB 18.

These numbers played in the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, and has now appeared in 30 out of 79, or about 38%, of Powerball drawings. Prior to the July 6^th, drawing, this Pattern played on June 8, 2016.

The General Order of the night was [1-1-1-2-1], and as of the July 6^th drawing has appeared in 13 out of the 30 drawings, or 43.3% of the time, in which the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played. If we take all 79 Powerball drawings into account, then the [1-1-1-2-1] has appeared 16.5% of the time. Just like the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, this also appeared in the June 8, 2016 Powerball drawing.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Specific Order. The July 6^th numbers followed the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order which last played…get ready for this…June 8^th, 2016! Not only did Powerball embrace the June, it embraced June 8^th all around.

With that said, the 1 1 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has now appeared in 4 out of the 13 drawings in which the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has played. That’s about 30.8%. However, if we were to take all 79 Powerball drawings into account, the statistic would be 5.1%.

Even though June didn’t totally dominate, it had a pretty strong hold. What will Saturday’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings have in store?

Saturday Night Repeats: {3-2-1} and {2-2-1-1} Edition

Last night’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings were all about repeats!

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for July 2, 2016 were 1, 8, 12, 22, 26, and 37.

These numbers played in the {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact appeared in the June 29, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing! This Pattern has now appeared in 708 of 1356 drawings, or 52.2% of the time. No doubt about it; the {3-2-1} Pattern continues to dominate Lotto Texas!

The Specific Order from Wednesday did not appear. Instead, we saw a 3 2 1 Specific Order, making its number of appearances 126 out of 708 drawings, or 17.8% of the time that the {3-2-1} Pattern has played. The 3 2 1 Specific Order made a previous showing in the April 13, 2016 drawing. If we were take all 1356 Lotto Texas drawings into account, this Specific Order has played 9.3% of the time.

We also saw a Four-Number Combination in the form 1, 8, 22, and 26.

Prior to the July 2^nd drawing, this Four-Number Combination played December 21, 2013.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers for July 2^nd, 2016 were 10, 34, 39, 59, 63, and PB 4.

Once again, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made an appearance this week, bringing it up to 27 out of 78 Powerball drawings, or 34.6%.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order also made an encore, now having appeared 11 times out of the 27 drawings in which the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, or 40.7%. As of the July 2, 2016 Powerball drawing, the [1-2-2-1] is the most commonly seen General Order associated with the {2-2-1-1} Pattern. If we take all 78 Powerball drawings into account, then the [1-2-2-1] has played 14.1% of the time.

Unlike the Pattern and the General Order, the Specific Order from Wednesday didn’t appear. Instead, we saw the 1 0 2 0 2 1 Specific Order play. Out of the 11 appearances of the [1-2-2-1] General order, this Specific Order has played twice, or 18.1% of the time. The 1 0 2 0 2 1 Specific previously played on May 28, 2016.

Looking ahead to the July 6^thdrawings, will the Lotto Texas and Powerball Patterns make a three-peat appearance?

Lotto Texas and Powerball Wednesday Night Callbacks

June 29^th’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings didn’t see Australia Plays or throwbacks to Four-Number (Lotto Texas) or Three-Number (Powerball) Combinations last seen several years ago. What we did see was a callback to Patterns seen just last week.

Lotto Texas

The winning Lotto Texas numbers were 3, 7, 22, 40, 44, and 53.

These numbers played in a {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact played in the June 22, 2016 drawing! The {3-2-1} Pattern continues to reign supreme as the most commonly seen Lotto Texas pattern. Given last night’s results, {3-2-1-} has now appeared in 707 out of 1355 Lotto Texas drawings, or 52.2%.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to the 2 1 3 Specific Order, which previously played on April 23^rd, 2016. Now at 105 appearances, this Specific Order has now played 14.9% of the time the {3-2-1} Pattern has played.

Powerball

The winning numbers for Powerball were 23, 29, 37, 60, 64, and PB 6.

The numbers played in the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, which also appeared in the June 22, 2016 Powerball drawing. After last night’s drawing, the {2-2-1-1} has now appeared 26 times out of 77 drawings, or 33.8%.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order made an encore appearance, having also appeared on June 22, 2016. Given the 26 appearances of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, the [1-2-2-1] has now appeared in 10 of them, bringing it up to 38.5%.

Even with a repeat performance from the Pattern and the General Order, we didn’t see this with the Specific Order. The 0 1 2 0 2 1 Specific Order made its first appearance since December 19, 2015. This has now appeared twice out of the 10 times the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared.

What will Lotto Texas and Powerball have in store for us on Saturday? Will we see pre-Fourth of July fireworks?

Yoohoo! {3-2-1} and a {2-2-1-1}

The June 22, 2016 drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball didn’t give us any Australia Plays, nor did we see Four-Number Combos that hadn’t played since the day cats and zombies officially took over the Internet. However, both lotteries saw Patterns that played just last week.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the June 22^nd drawing were 4, 5, 14, 32, 37, and 49.

These numbers played in the {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact played June 15^th. As of now, this Pattern has appeared in 706 of 1353 drawings, or 52%. This truly is King of Patterns.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to a 3 1 2 Specific Order, which prior to last night’s drawing played on March 19, 2016. This Specific Order has now played 126 times out of the 706 drawings the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, bringing it up to 17.8%. While a commonly seen Specific Order for this particular Pattern, it is not the most common.

Powerball

The June 22^nd drawing gave us these winning numbers: 14, 40, 42, 43, 52, PB17.

Here we see the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, and it too made an appearance in the June 15^th drawing. The tally for this Pattern is now 25 times out of 75 drawings, or 33%. The General Order [1-2-2-1] has now played 9 times out of the 25 times the {2-2-1-1} has appeared, or 36% of the time. In fact, this General Order was also seen in the June 15, 2016 drawing.
