The Juneteenth Playback Special

June 19^th, or Juneteenth, commemorated the end of slavery in Texas. Although the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed in 1863, it wasn’t until June 19, 1865 that Union soldiers sailed into Galveston and read the Emancipation Proclamation that slavery was abolished in Texas.

Yet, slavery hadn’t been fully abolished in the United States. Kentucky and Delaware, both Union states, continued to practice slavery until the ratification of the 13^th Amendment six months later. This is because the Emancipation Proclamation only applied to the Confederacy, of which Texas was a part of.

Today, Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, and as of this past Thursday, a federal holiday. Not only is Juneteenth a day of remembrance for black Americans, but it’s also a day of celebration.

Lotto Texas and Powerball were linked to this momentous occasion this year. Lotto Texas kept it classy while the jackpot grew to $6 million. Meanwhile, Powerball took a different approach to get its jackpot up to $63 million.

The power of the {3-2-1} Pattern was felt far and wide Wednesday night! On June 9, 2021, this Pattern returned for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Would you believe that this triggered a three-peat in Powerball? Meanwhile, the bump in Lotto Texas’s jackpot to $5.25 million was thanks to that Pattern encore.

A note before we continue: As of this writing, there’s been a delay in processing the results of Powerball’s drawing. Because of this, no one knows yet what the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing will be worth.

A Lottery’s Sense of Normalcy

Given that we’re dealing with lotteries here, the term “normalcy” is loaded. What’s “normal” for a lottery is far different than what we mere humans consider such. Oh, we crave excitement, but our actions show that we desire stability and predictability. Many of us wouldn’t be able to cope if our lives had the peaks and valleys most commonly seen in lotteries. The Mega Millions jackpot was the talk of the lottery world. For three months, that oak tree was nurtured by specific Patterns and the frustration of determined players. That frustration came to an end this past Friday when a Pennsylvanian player cut the mighty tree down.

As one tree fell, two others stood tall. May 22, 2021 was a busy night for Lotto Texas and Powerball. A Pattern three-peat and a similar spread were two stand-out developments. These fed into the jackpots rising once again. Lotto Texas jumped to $17.5 million, and Powerball expanded to $236 million.

Now with 33 appearances, the 2 4 0 Specific Order has played in 16.5% of the 200 drawings where {4-2} was the winning Pattern. Once all 1866 drawings have been taken into consideration, this Specific Order has played 1.77% of the time. Prior to Saturday night, the 2 4 0 Specific Order played October 17, 2020.

Similar Spread

The 200^th appearance of an uncommonly seen Pattern was a momentous occurrence after all. Perhaps it was fitting to throw in a similar spread as well! Saturday night’s spread was 08:13:05:01:02. This spread is similar to the one featured in the September 19, 2001 drawing. The winning numbers for that night were 8, 13, 15, 28, 29 and 37 with a spread of 05:02:13:01:08. Remember: the differences between numbers are the same, though not so for the order of the numbers.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order, now with 53 appearances, has played in 31.2% of the 170 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. Once all 588 drawings have been taken into consideration, this General Order has played 9.01% of the time. We last saw the [1-2-2-1] General Order April 10, 2021.

Now with eight appearances, the 1 2 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 15.1% of the 53 drawings where the General Order was [1-2-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 4.71% of the 170 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 1.36% of all 588 drawings.
