Lotto Texas and Powerball Wednesday Night Callbacks

June 29th’s Lotto Texas and Powerball drawings didn’t see Australia Plays or throwbacks to Four-Number (Lotto Texas) or Three-Number (Powerball) Combinations last seen several years ago. What we did see was a callback to Patterns seen just last week.

Lotto Texas

The winning Lotto Texas numbers were 3, 7, 22, 40, 44, and 53.

These numbers played in a {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact played in the June 22, 2016 drawing! The {3-2-1} Pattern continues to reign supreme as the most commonly seen Lotto Texas pattern. Given last night’s results, {3-2-1-} has now appeared in 707 out of 1355 Lotto Texas drawings, or 52.2%.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to the 2 1 3 Specific Order, which previously played on April 23rd, 2016. Now at 105 appearances, this Specific Order has now played 14.9% of the time the {3-2-1} Pattern has played.

Powerball

The winning numbers for Powerball were 23, 29, 37, 60, 64, and PB 6.

The numbers played in the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, which also appeared in the June 22, 2016 Powerball drawing. After last night’s drawing, the {2-2-1-1} has now appeared 26 times out of 77 drawings, or 33.8%.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order made an encore appearance, having also appeared on June 22, 2016. Given the 26 appearances of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, the [1-2-2-1] has now appeared in 10 of them, bringing it up to 38.5%.

Even with a repeat performance from the Pattern and the General Order, we didn’t see this with the Specific Order. The 0 1 2 0 2 1 Specific Order made its first appearance since December 19, 2015. This has now appeared twice out of the 10 times the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared.

What will Lotto Texas and Powerball have in store for us on Saturday? Will we see pre-Fourth of July fireworks?

{2-2-1-1} Stands Strong, a.k.a. Friday Night Repeats

As we conclude the Mega Millions coverage for the week, we can’t help but mention that the winning Pattern we saw on Tuesday night decided to make an encore. The winning numbers for Friday, June 24, 2016 were 11, 14, 54, 57, 63, and MB11.

For those of you who have just started checking out this blog, and you’re wondering what the heck we just mentioned, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was the winner yet again, having last played June 21, 2016. That’s one way to kick off the summer, or winter if you’re reading this from the Southern Hemisphere! Anyway, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has now appeared 90 times out of 280 drawings, bringing it up to 32.14%.

The General Order [2-2-1-1] made its 36th appearance, and given the winning Pattern’s 90 appearances in Mega Millions, the [2-2-1-1] General Order has now played a solid 40%. The April 15, 2016 drawing was the last time this General Order made an appearance in Mega Millions.

We also saw the 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order, bringing its total number of appearances up to 4, and it has now played 11.1% of the time, given the 36 drawings in which [2-2-1-1] has appeared.

Looking ahead to next week, will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern make a three-peat appearance Tuesday?

Yoohoo! {3-2-1} and a {2-2-1-1}

The June 22, 2016 drawings for Lotto Texas and Powerball didn’t give us any Australia Plays, nor did we see Four-Number Combos that hadn’t played since the day cats and zombies officially took over the Internet. However, both lotteries saw Patterns that played just last week.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for the June 22nd drawing were 4, 5, 14, 32, 37, and 49.

These numbers played in the {3-2-1} Pattern, which in fact played June 15th. As of now, this Pattern has appeared in 706 of 1353 drawings, or 52%. This truly is King of Patterns.

The {3-2-1} Pattern gave way to a 3 1 2 Specific Order, which prior to last night’s drawing played on March 19, 2016. This Specific Order has now played 126 times out of the 706 drawings the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, bringing it up to 17.8%. While a commonly seen Specific Order for this particular Pattern, it is not the most common.

Powerball

The June 22nd drawing gave us these winning numbers: 14, 40, 42, 43, 52, PB17.

Here we see the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, and it too made an appearance in the June 15th drawing. The tally for this Pattern is now 25 times out of 75 drawings, or 33%. The General Order [1-2-2-1] has now played 9 times out of the 25 times the {2-2-1-1} has appeared, or 36% of the time. In fact, this General Order was also seen in the June 15, 2016 drawing. The [1-2-2-1] General Order saw a newly played Specific Order in the form of 1 0 2 2 0 1.

Will the {3-2-1} and the {2-2-1-1} Patterns for Lotto Texas and Powerball, respectively, show up again in Saturday’s drawings, or will other Patterns make an appearance? Will we see an Australia Play or a Four-Number Combo that had previously played in the ancient days of dial-up?

So It Goes 2-2-1-1

Patterns are a wonderful thing; they always turn up when you least expect them. In fact, the most recently played Pattern decided to show up just two weeks after it last played.

The winning numbers from the June 21 2016 Mega Millions drawing are 6, 13, 21, 49, 50, and MB10.

Prior to the June 21st drawing, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played on June 7, 2016. As of last night, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played 89 times out of 279. This puts it at 31.9%, and is a commonly seen Mega Millions Pattern.

The General Order was a [2-1-2-1] and it made a previous appearance on April 12, 2016. The [2-1-2-1] General Order has now played 32 times out of the 89, or 36% of the time the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared. If we were to take this General Order in relation to all 279 drawings, then this has played 32 times out of 279, or 11.5%.

We saw a 2 1 0 2 0 1 Specific Order, which prior to June 21st last appeared December 1, 2015. Talk about an early Christmas gift!

Will the {2-2-1-1} Pattern stick around for Friday, or will it go away and not show up for yet another two weeks?

{3-2-1} and {2-2-1-1} Are Back for an Encore

Compared to last week’s sensational finale (see June 12th post), the results of Lotto Texas and Powerball may seem tame. No Four-Number Combos or throwbacks to speak of for Lotto Texas, for one. Truth is, a Lotto Texas Pattern and a Specific Order made an encore, as did the Powerball Pattern.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers from June 15th Lotto Texas drawing were 5, 16, 23, 24, 35, and 52.

The {3-2-1} Pattern, as we’ve mentioned before, is the most commonly played Pattern to date. As of yesterday’s drawing, it has played 705 times out of 1351 drawings, or 52.18% of the time. In fact, this Pattern played exactly one week prior to last night’s drawing, that is, June 8th, 2016 (see here). Given the {3-2-1} Pattern, we saw a Specific Order of 2 3 1, which has now played 116 times out of the 705 drawings in which the {3-2-1} Pattern has occurred. This Specific Order also appeared on June 8, 2016.

Powerball

Powerball’s winning numbers were 4, 22, 24, 31, 33, and PB10.

These numbers played in a {2-2-1-1} Pattern, and this particular Pattern has now played 24 out of 73 times, or 32.9%. This commonly played Pattern (to date) played last Saturday (see June 12th post).

Last night saw the appearance of the [1-2-2-1] General Order, which now puts it at 8 times out of 29 drawings the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played, or 27.6%. This General Order was last seen on May 28, 2016.

Given the [1-2-2-1] General Order, the Specific Order 1 2 2 0 0 1 has played twice out of the eight times (25%) the [1-2-2-1] General Order has appeared. The last time 1 2 2 0 0 1 played was February 17, 2016.

Will Lotto Texas see a lull in the appearance of noteworthy Four-Number Combinations or is this the quiet before the storm? Will Powerball start to see a rarely played Pattern, or will {2-2-1-1} play for a third time?

Lotto Texas Throwback and Powerball’s Most Common Pattern

Some very interesting plays took place Saturday night with Lotto Texas and Powerball. In fact, Lotto Texas saw some of the biggest draws of the night! A very special Pattern played and the Four-Number Combination was a trip in the Wayback Machine, demonstrating even more the power of repetition.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers for June 11, 2016 were 5, 10, 25, 36, 39, and 41.

These numbers played in a {2-2-2} Pattern, and this has now appeared 188 times in 1350 drawings, or 13.9%. Now, this Pattern isn’t like all the other Patterns we’ve discussed for Lotto Texas so far. In fact, this Pattern is much like Australia.

Land of sunburns, vegemite, and angry kangaroos. Taken from http://www.pd4pic.com/flag-country-australia-outline-symbol-land-with.html

Why are we discussing Australia on a lottery blog you wonder? If you remember your fourth grade geography class, you learned that Australia is the only country that is also a continent. The {2-2-2} Pattern is also a Specific Order! Logically then, whenever a {2-2-2} Pattern appears, the 2 2 2 Specific Order will always play. This Pattern played a few weeks ago on May 14, 2016. Due to the nature of the {2-2-2} Pattern, it shall henceforth also be known as an Australia Play.

This particular {2-2-2} Pattern brought yet another surprise. The last four winning numbers 25, 36, 39, and 41 make up a Four-Number Combination and this Combination was last played September 2, 2000. We’re talking pre-social media, pre-iPhone days when a landline was still needed to connect to the Internet. This Four-Number Combination is in the red box below.

Powerball

Powerball may not have had the same 1-2-3 punch as Lotto Texas last night, but there were still some noteworthy observations. The winning numbers were 20, 27, 36, 41, 58 and PB 7.

The winning Pattern was a {2-2-1-1} and it last played just two weeks ago on May 28, 2016. As of today, this Pattern has played 23 times out of 72 drawings to date, or 31.9%. This is a commonly played Pattern.

NOTE: The most common Pattern for Powerball to date is in fact {2-1-1-1-1}. When that Pattern plays again, we’ll also provide the previous date in which it played.

The following General Orders are possible with a {2-2-1-1} Pattern:

[1-2-2-1]

[2-1-2-1]

[2-2-1-1]

The General Order that appeared was [2-2-1-1], which in fact is the most commonly seen General Order for this particular Pattern. Of the 23 times the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played, the [2-2-1-1] General Order last played March 23, 2016. If we take all of the times the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has played, this General Order has appeared only 13.9% of the time. The 0 2 2 0 1 1 Specific Order played, bringing it to a total of 2 out of 10 times, or 20% of the time this particular General Order has played.

Will we see another Australia Play in Lotto Texas next week? Will a Four-Number Combo that hasn’t been played in years start to make an appearance in Powerball and Mega Millions, or will Lotto Texas have all the fun?

New Trend on the Block

Third time is not the charm. For the past two Mega Millions drawings, the winning Pattern was a {3-1-1-1}. Instead, Tuesday night saw the appearance of a {2-2-1-1} Pattern. The winning numbers for June 7th are as follows: 25, 48, 51, 65, 72, and a Mega Ball of 4.

MegaMillions_June072016

This particular pattern has played 88 times out of 275 drawings to date. Statistically speaking, it has played 32% of the time. In fact, it’s the second-most common pattern to date. The most common pattern? We’ll tell you on a future date.

Since we have a new pattern, it’s time to go over General Orders. Given that we have a {2-2-1-1} Pattern, you can have any of the following General Orders:

[1-2-2-1]

[2-1-2-1]

[2-2-1-1]

Our winning numbers played in the [1-2-2-1] General Order. Given that there have been 275 drawings to date, this General Order has played 22 times, giving a stat so far of 8%. To date, it’s the least commonly drawn General Order for this particular Pattern. Yet, it looks nice and even, doesn’t it?

And now it’s time to break it down further. This particular General Order saw the following Specific Order:

0 1 0 2 2 1

Out of the 22 times this General Order has played, this Specific Order has played…twice. Yes, twice. There are, in fact, Specific Orders that haven’t played at all so far. But, as we said in the June 4th post, everything repeats, given enough time. This Specific Order/General Order will play again. This General Order will play again. When it plays again, will it have the same Specific Order, or will a brand new one play?
