The Lottery Swift Kick

The star of May 15, 2021 was Lotto Texas. For those who’ve been following our blog, you most likely remembered this lottery being the quiet type. That certainly wasn’t the case Saturday night! Powerball didn’t have an Australian Play, but it was strong as it ever was. The prize received a generous boost to $201 million.

Will the jackpots in Lotto Texas and Powerball continue their climb in the week ahead?

The Pre-Summer Jackpot Frenzy

May has a special energy about it. The days are getting longer and hotter, school’s about to let out, and we’re all dreaming of summer. Luxury vacations, early retirement, and a hefty college fund for the kids are just a few things those dreams are made of! Who wouldn’t want to say goodbye to the rat race once and for all, get their summers back, and spend more time with their families?

Alas, May 8, 2021 was yet another night of dreams deferred. Once the dust settled, what we were left with was a Pattern streak, a repeating Three-Number Combination that played four times, the debut of a Specific Order, and rising jackpots. Lotto Texas, full of vigor, grew to $14.75 million, and Powerball ascended to $168 million.

Subverted Lottery Expectations

Given recent events in the lottery world, you’d think either Lotto Texas or Powerball (or both) would see yet another repeat appearance of their most common Pattern. Lotto Texas broke up with the {3-2-1} Pattern and Powerball called it quits with the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. Repeating Four and Three-Number Combinations, and rising jackpots, were what remained of these tumultuous splits. Lotto Texas hit $10 million, and Powerball pushed onward to $67 million.
