There be Lottery Fireworks

To our readers in the United States: Happy Fourth of July! May it be full of grilling, companionship, relaxation, and fireworks.

On July 3, 1996, one movie took the world by storm. An alien invasion movie with plucky, loveable characters, special effects that (mostly) hold up to this day, and a stellar (no pun intended) soundtrack. That movie was Independence Day, and for everyone who saw it in the theater, especially for the 90s kids out there (like yours truly), it was a thrill like no other. Twenty-five years later, and the movie has become a staple of holiday viewing.

July 3, 2021 saw a dazzling display of fireworks from both Lotto Texas and Powerball. A three-peat and a playback were featured, and the jackpots shot up once more! The Lotto Texas jackpot blasted its way up to $7 million, and Powerball’s jackpot soared to $113 million.

How Should Lotteries End a Month?

Can you believe it?! Another June has come and gone, which means we’re halfway through 2021. Lotto Texas and Powerball had the honor of bidding adieu. Save for a Pattern encore, June 30, 2021 was far quieter than what we saw this past Saturday night. The jackpots rose to $6.75 million and $101 million, respectively.

Lottery Nostalgia Bombs

Next to Christmas and your birthday, summer most likely rounded out your top three of “Best Time of the Year”. Summer meant several weeks away from teachers and homework, days filled with games, swimming, popsicles, and checking out the latest movies.

One summer, you’re an eight-year-old playing video games. Flash forward twenty years and your summers are spent toiling away in the working world. Summer vacation then becomes a couple of weeks you have to time just right, provided you have at least that much time saved up. Even if you happen to be a kid at heart, those nostalgia pangs come rushing in, and summer, a wondrous time when everything was once new, is a peak time for it.

If it’s any consolation, at least you’re not a lottery. Lotteries are constantly bombarded with nostalgia, some more than others. This past Saturday night wasn’t any different! And yet, lotteries are tied to the present and future, too. The (then recent) numbers that played June 26, 2021 were responsible for the future jackpots of $6.5 million for Lotto Texas and $88 million for Powerball.

Spreading Out for Summer

Lotto Texas and Powerball were primed for summer June 23, 2021. They welcomed the new season with rising jackpots. The former gracefully rose to $6.25 million, and the latter leapt to $75 million. Things got hotter with the presence of a similar spread and an Australia Play!

Blazing Hot Lotteries

Summer is coming, which means rising temperatures are ahead. Although we like to kick things off with Memorial Day, the true start of the season is on the Summer Solstice, which falls on either June 20th or the 21st in the Northern Hemisphere. And yet, nature cares not about what the calendar says. Blazing hot temperatures can and have occurred before the Solstice!

It was June 16, 2021 that Lotto Texas and Powerball got caught in a heatwave. Nothing record-breaking (yet?), but like the temperatures outside, the jackpots rose. Lotto Texas’s jackpot climbed to $5.75 million, and Powerball’s ascended to $52 million.

Bound by the {3-2-1} Pattern

The power of the {3-2-1} Pattern was felt far and wide Wednesday night! On June 9, 2021, this Pattern returned for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. Would you believe that this triggered a three-peat in Powerball? Meanwhile, the bump in Lotto Texas’s jackpot to $5.25 million was thanks to that Pattern encore.

A note before we continue: As of this writing, there’s been a delay in processing the results of Powerball’s drawing. Because of this, no one knows yet what the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing will be worth.

EDIT: As of 6/12/2021, the Powerball jackpot is $31 million.

Preparing for June: Lotto Texas and Powerball Style

Holiday weekends are great for hanging out with friends and family, catching up on sleep (and streaming), and trying out new things. That extra time off is also a potentially overlooked opportunity to prepare for the future. Lotto Texas and Powerball concentrated on the latter May 29, 2021. June is only a few days away, and the lotteries believed it was better to head into the new month with profound momentum, all thanks to the power of rising jackpots. Lotto Texas welcomed a boost to $18.75 million with open arms, and Powerball jumped to $268 million.

The Spreading Power of Jackpots

Special thanks to guest blogger Romulun Harris for filling in on Saturday!

The Mega Millions jackpot was the talk of the lottery world. For three months, that oak tree was nurtured by specific Patterns and the frustration of determined players. That frustration came to an end this past Friday when a Pennsylvanian player cut the mighty tree down.

As one tree fell, two others stood tall. May 22, 2021 was a busy night for Lotto Texas and Powerball. A Pattern three-peat and a similar spread were two stand-out developments. These fed into the jackpots rising once again. Lotto Texas jumped to $17.5 million, and Powerball expanded to $236 million.

The 200th appearance of an uncommonly seen Pattern was a momentous occurrence after all. Perhaps it was fitting to throw in a similar spread as well! Saturday night’s spread was 08:13:05:01:02. This spread is similar to the one featured in the September 19, 2001 drawing. The winning numbers for that night were 8, 13, 15, 28, 29 and 37 with a spread of 05:02:13:01:08. Will either Powerball or Lotto Texas get knocked back down to size in the week ahead, or will they continue their journey of growth?

The Rising Jackpot Bonanza: Lotto Texas and Powerball Edition

Something is spreading throughout the lottery world. Mega Millions has been in its grip for months, and Lotto Texas and Powerball haven’t shown any signs of resistance themselves as of late. This is the power of rising jackpots. With the school year wrapping up, the lotteries barrel through May full steam ahead, ready to kick off those hotter, sunnier days.

This past Saturday was something of an anomaly. Repeating Five-Number Combinations and similar spreads often don’t occur on the same night. Although such phenomena were absent May 19, 2021, Lotto Texas and Powerball didn’t disappoint! Even with its newfound assertiveness, Lotto Texas retained its classiness, ascending gracefully to $17 million. Powerball did its own thing and jumped to an impressive $218 million.
