Going Big(ger) (or Lotto Texas & Powerball in “Jackpot Happy”)

October is an active month, indeed. Football season is in full swing, post-season baseball games are taking place (Will the ‘stros make it to the World Series again?), not to mention Halloween being right around the corner. If you also read the Mega Millions blog posts, then you know about the monster lurking about there. Now, I don’t mean to alarm you, but another monster was spotted October 13, 2018. The grand prize for Powerball shot up to $345 million! Lotto Texas may be the “runt” with its $11.75 million jackpot, but it had the most impactful attacks of the evening.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern was loved so much after showing up October 10th that it was invited back. This encore, and the 835th appearance of the Pattern, was thanks to winning numbers 14, 19, 30, 42, 47, and 51.

A Pattern encore is just one attack. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Of the 1594 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 52.4% of the time.

Now with 149 appearances, the 1 2 3 Specific Order has played in 17.8% of the 835 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern and in 9.35% of all 1594 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, this Specific Order played on September 15, 2018.

Similar Spread

Lotto Texas went straight for the jugular with a similar spread. The spread for Saturday night was 05:11:12:05:04, which was similar to what was seen on October 4, 2006. That night, the winning numbers were 1, 13, 18, 22, 27, and 38, with a spread of 12:05:04:05:11. Notice that although the differences between numbers were the same, the orders were different.

Four-Number Combination(s)

Of course, what accents the impact of a Pattern encore more than a repeating Four-Number Combination? The Combination of the evening was 14, 30, 47, and 51, which made its debut in the February 20, 2013 drawing.

Pile on with a repeating Four-Number Combination! Source: lotterytrend.com.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball took a note from the Lotto Texas playbook and played its most commonly seen Pattern again. Except here, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made a three-peat. With winning numbers 11, 14, 32, 43, 65, and PB 15, this Pattern made its 113th appearance.

Of the 316 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 35.8% of them.

The [2-1-1-1-1] General Order made its 30th appearance and has now played in 26.5% of the 113 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 9.49% of all 316 drawings and was last seen on August 4, 2018.

Now with five appearances, the 2 0 1 1 1 1 Specific Order has played in 16.667% of the 30 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-1-1-1]. This Specific Order has also appeared in 4.42% of the 113 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When taking all 316 drawings into consideration, the 2 0 1 1 1 1 Specific Order has played 1.58% of the time. This Specific Order was last seen in the earlier-mentioned August 4, 2018 drawing alongside the [2-1-1-1-1] General Order.

Three-Number Combination(s)

There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations. Powerball felt that the Pattern encore, and the crazy-large jackpot, were enough damage.

As the daytime hours wane, and the days (hopefully) continue to get cooler, the grand prizes continue to reach monumental heights. Will either the {2-1-1-1-1} or {3-2-1} Patterns make another repeat appearance Wednesday night and could one of those repeats allow at least one person to obtain a monstrous jackpot?

The Great and Powerful Pattern

What can be said about September 15th? Other than it being the halfway mark in September, it’s not that big of a deal, is it? After all, there’s nothing that great about the grand prizes for Lotto Texas and Powerball going up to $7.5 million and $163 million, is there? Nothing that great about the {3-2-1} Pattern playing seven times in a r–.

Who are we kidding!? Saturday night was a mighty big deal and not just because the jackpots rose! It was in Lotto Texas, the “small fry” of the Big Three lotteries, that a Pattern played seven times in a row. Not even the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, King of Mega Millions, has ever performed such a feat!

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

The record-breaking “seven-peat” featured winning numbers 2, 21, 24, 41, 46, and 52. This brings the number of times the {3-2-1} Pattern has played up to 830.

The six numbers that shattered a record. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Of the 1586 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 52.3% of the time. Recall that we last saw this Pattern on September 12th, 2018.

Now with 148 appearances, the 1 2 3 Specific Order has played in 17.8% of the 830 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. When taking all 1586 drawings into consideration, this Specific Order has played 9.33% of the time. Prior to Saturday night, the 1 2 3 Specific Order played on September 8th, 2018. How interesting it would’ve been if a playback occurred!

Similar Spread

Instead, another level of awesomeness was applied when a similar spread showed up. The spread for Saturday night’s numbers was 19:03:17:05:06. This is similar to the spread seen on September 25th, 2010. That night, the winning numbers were 1, 7, 26, 43, 46, and 51 and the spread was 06:19:17:03:05. Note how the numbers in the spreads are the same, but the orders are different.

Four-Number Combination(s)

Of course, Lotto Texas couldn’t have just a {3-2-1} Pattern “seven-peat” or a similar spread. There had to be a repeating Four-Number Combination thrown into the mix, too!

And what of Powerball? Was it struck with a touch of Pattern Streak Fever?

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball remained immune to streak fever, but it had a strong night. With winning numbers 2, 18, 19, 24, 34, and PB 3, the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 60th appearance.

On a different journey. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Of the 308 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 19.5% of them, and was last seen on June 23rd, 2018.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order made its 17th appearance and has now played in 28.3% of the 60 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When taking all 308 drawings into consideration, this General Order has played 5.52% of the time. Prior to Saturday night, the [1-3-1-1] General Order played on February 7th, 2018.

Now with three appearances, the 1 3 1 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 17.6% of the 17 drawings where the General Order was [1-3-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 5% of the 60 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern and in 0.97% of all 308 drawings. The 1 3 1 0 0 1 Specific Order was last seen on July 30th, 2016.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Powerball’s contribution to the “awesome sauce” pot was the repeating Three-Number Combination 2, 18, and 19.

Top the heap. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Combination made its debut in the March 4th, 2017 drawing.

It can be said without a doubt that September 15th was one of, if not the biggest night Lottery Binge has covered. Lotto Texas has developed a love affair with the {3-2-1} Pattern and we’ll need to keep an eye on whether the record-breaking streak continues, or there’s a break-up. Powerball hasn’t seen an encore in a while. Could a {3-1-1-1} Pattern encore show up Wednesday night?

The Five Voyages of a Common Pattern

Pattern streak fever was present in Mega Millions this past Friday, and it spread to Lotto Texas on September 8, 2018. The Lottery World was set on fire Saturday night with a five-peat and other things so wild they can’t be talked about in an introduction! The only other thing we can say is that the grand prizes rose for both Lotto Texas and Powerball. The respective prizes are now $6 million and $132 million.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 14, 21, 33, 43, 47, and 48, the {3-2-1} Pattern went on to play for the fifth time in a row! This Pattern has now played 828 times.

Staying on top with Pattern streaks. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Of the 1584 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 52.3% of the time. September 5, 2018 was when we last saw the {3-2-1} Pattern.

Now with 147 appearances, the 1 2 3 Specific Order has played in 17.8% of the 828 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern, and in 9.28% of all 1584 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, the 1 2 3 Specific Order played on June 2, 2018.

Similar Spread

The key thing to remember about a similar spread is that this happens when the numbers in the spreads are the same, but the orders are different. The spread for Saturday night was 07:12:10:04:01. This is similar to the spread that was seen on November 26, 2014. That night, the winning numbers were 14, 21, 31, 35, 36, and 48 and the spread was 07:10:04:01:12.

Lotto Texas developed a fondness for similar spreads last month, even seeing them happen back-to-back. Could another similar spread appear Wednesday night?

Four-Number Combination(s)

Believe it or not, there were no repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Although Lotto Texas dominated this past Saturday, Powerball still had a respectable showing and had its own surprises!

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 92nd appearance with winning numbers 3, 13, 20 32, 33, and PB 21.

Of the 306 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 30.1% of them, and was last seen on September 1, 2018.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order has played 28 times and has now appeared in 30.4% of the 92 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has played in 9.15% of all 306 drawings, and previously played on August 25, 2018.

Now with five appearances, the 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 17.9% of the 28 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also appeared in 5.43% of the 92 drawings where the winning Pattern was {2-2-1-1}. When taking all 306 drawings into consideration, this Specific Order has played 1.63% of the time. The 2 1 2 0 0 1 Specific Order was last seen on March 22, 2017.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Powerball may not have seen a Pattern encore, but there were two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

The big things to look out for Wednesday night are similar spreads and Pattern streaks. Will the {3-2-1} Pattern streak continue in Lotto Texas, and could either lottery see a similar spread?

Everything’s Better with Similarities

There’s a very good chance that Lotto Texas and Powerball casted off the August Doldrums for good! August 25th had strong showings for both lotteries. Not only did their respective grand prizes rise to $6 million and $80 million, there were some similarities to what we saw last time.

Lotto Texas

With winning numbers 3, 10, 23, 32, 36, and 48, the {3-2-1} Pattern made its 824th appearance.

Of the 1580 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played in 52.2% of them, and was last seen on August 11, 2018.

Now with 134 appearances, the 2 3 1 Specific Order has played in 16.3% of the 824 drawings where {3-2-1} was the winning Pattern. This statistic becomes 8.48% when taking all 1580 drawings into consideration. Prior to Saturday night, the 2 3 1 Specific Order played in the July 14, 2018 drawing.

Similar Spread

A similar spread happened for the second drawing in a row! If you recall our last post, this phenomenon happens when the numbers in the spreads are the same, but the orders are different. Saturday night had a spread of 07:13:09:04:12. This is similar to the one that occurred on May 13, 2015. That night, the winning numbers were 2, 15, 22, 31, 43, and 47, with a spread of 13:07:09:12:04.

This the first time in Lottery Binge history that a similar spread occurred in either lottery back-to-back.

Four-Number Combination(s)

Once again, Lotto Texas saw a repeating Four-Number Combination! This time, the Combination was 3, 23, 32, and 36.

This Combination debuted in the August 5, 2000 drawing. That was eighteen years ago!

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball liked the {2-2-1-1} Pattern so much that it was brought back for an encore. This time, the winning numbers were 20, 25, 54, 57, 63, and PB 8.

Given that there have been 302 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 29.8% of the time.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order made its 27th appearance and has now played in 30% of the 90 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 8.94% of all 302 drawings. The [2-1-2-1] General Order was last seen in the June 6, 2018 drawing.

Now with three appearances, the 0 2 0 1 2 1 Specific Order played in 11.1% of the 27 drawings where the General Order was [2-1-2-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 3.33% of the 90 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When taking all 302 drawings into consideration, this Specific Order has played 0.99% of the time. The 0 2 0 1 2 1 Specific Order previously played on August 30, 2017.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The lone repeating Three-Number Combination, 54, 57, and PB 8, made its debut in the October 25, 2017 drawing.

Could the unthinkable happen in Wednesday’s drawing with a third-consecutive similar spread? Could Powerball’s {2-2-1-1} Pattern go for the three-peat?

Doldrums-B-Gone

The jackpots for Lotto Texas and Powerball inched upwards once more. Their respective jackpots are now $5.75 million and $70 million. But that’s not the focus of today’s post. Not really.

Let it be known that the night of August 22, 2018 was the night when Lotto Texas and Powerball joined forces and cast off the yoke of the “August Doldrums”! How was this achieved? Well, the introduction alone can’t do justice to what happened.

Lotto Texas

Of the 1579 Lotto Texas drawings, this Pattern has played 10.8% of the time.

Now with 57 appearances, the 1 1 4 Specific Order has played in 33.3% of the 171 drawings where {4-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When taking all 1579 drawings into consideration, this Specific Order has played 3.61% of the time.

Prior to Wednesday night, both the {4-1-1} Pattern and the 1 1 4 Specific Order previously played on August 15, 2018. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we had ourselves a playback!

And there was more. So much more.

Similar Spread

Lotto Texas also saw a similar spread. This happens when the numbers in the spreads are the same, but the orders are different. The spread for Wednesday night was 14:12:01:13:02. This is similar to the one that occurred on June 4, 2008. That night, the winning numbers were 4, 6, 18, 19, 32, and 46, with a spread of 02:12:01:13:14.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Lotto Texas may have been the strongest party Wednesday night, but Powerball’s results were nothing to sneeze at, either. With winning numbers 1, 7, 45, 47, 69, and PB 13, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 89th appearance.

No doldrums for Powerball. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 301 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 29.6% of the time. Like the {4-1-1} Pattern seen in Lotto Texas, the {2-2-1-1} Pattern played in the earlier-mentioned August 15th drawing.

The [2-2-1-1] General Order made its 36th appearance and has now played in 40.4% of the 89 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in roughly 12% of all 301 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, this General Order played in the July 28, 2018 drawing.

Now with three appearances, the 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order has played in 8.33% of the 36 drawings where the General Order was [2-2-1-1]. This Specific Order has also played in 3.37% of the 89 drawings where {2-2-1-1} was the winning Pattern. When looking at all 301 drawings, this Specific Order has played 1% of the time. The 2 0 0 2 1 1 Specific Order previously played on July 7, 2018.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Powerball didn’t see any repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will Lotto Texas and Powerball be able to keep the August Doldrums away on Saturday?

The Wednesday Night Thaw

To start today’s post, here are a couple of facts about Australia:

  1. It’s the only country that’s also a continent.
  2. It’s one of the warmest spots on the planet right now.

Seeing how it’s almost summer down there, it’s fitting that an Australia Play was seen on December 13, 2017. Biggest play of the night, in fact. The appearance of the most commonly seen Pattern, an encore at that, was a big play, don’t get us wrong. It’s just that more happened in the lottery that saw the Australia Play.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Lotto Texas had the honor of hosting the Australia Play for the 204th time! Wednesday’s winning numbers were 12, 14, 19, 34, 39, and 47.

Australia Play in motion. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Now with there being 1507 Lotto Texas drawings, both the {2-2-2} Pattern and the 2 2 2 Specific Order have played 13.5% of the time. An Australia Play was last seen November 29, 2017.

Similar Spread

This Australia Play saw a spread of 02:05:15:05:08, which was like the spread on May 8, 2010. That night, the spread was 02:08:15:05:05, and the winning numbers were 12, 14, 22, 37, 42, 47. What makes this a similar spread is that even though the numbers in the spreads are the same, their orders are different. Yes, even if three of the six numbers drawn are shared between the drawings.

Four-Number Combination(s)

The Australia Play continued to go big with two repeating Four-Number Combinations:

  • 12, 19, 34, 47 (Debuted December 31, 2008)
  • 12, 14, 19, 34 (Debuted July 18, 2001)
And it likes to go big. Source: lotterytrend.com.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

By process of elimination, it was Powerball that saw the Pattern encore. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern, King of the Powerball Patterns, saw its 83rd appearance with 2, 24, 28, 51, 58, and PB 7.

An encore is nothing to sneeze at. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Out of the 229 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played in 36.2% of them.

The [1-2-1-1-1] General Order made its 23rd appearance, and was seen alongside the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern in this past Saturday’s drawing. This has now played in 27.7% of the 83 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When taking all 229 drawings into account, this General Order has played about 10% of the time.

Now with four appearances, the 1 2 0 1 1 1 Specific Order has played 17.4% of the time. This Specific Order has also played in 4.82% of the 83 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.75% of all 229 drawings. Prior to Wednesday night, the 1 2 0 1 1 1 Specific Order had played in the April 15, 2017 drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

The Pattern encore was the only big play for Powerball. There were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will Saturday’s drawing lead to either an Australia Play encore or a {2-1-1-1-1} three-peat?

A Playback and a Spread

The word “Uneventful” does not describe the night of December 2nd. This was the night of the playback, and the similar spread. Which lottery saw which event?

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 12, 15, 17, 31, 38, and 47, the {3-2-1} Pattern made its 781st appearance.

Six numbers pack a lot of power. Source: lotterytrend.com.

This Pattern has played in 51.9% of the 1504 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen November 25, 2017.

Now with 145 appearances, the 3 1 2 Specific Order has played in 18.6% of the 781 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has now played in 9.64% of all 1504 drawings. And, it was seen alongside the {3-2-1} Pattern in the November 25th drawing.

Because the {3-2-1} Pattern and the 3 1 2 Specific Order were seen together in a previous drawing, we here at Lottery Binge call this a playback.

Four-Number Combination(s)

Lotto Texas thought the playback was enough. There were no repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 43rd appearance, with winning numbers 28, 30, 32, 36, 58, and PB 6.

These numbers ruled the night. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 226 Powerball drawings so far, this Pattern has played about 19% of the time. It was last seen in the November 15, 2017 drawing.

The [1-3-1-1] General Order has now played 14 times, and has thus appeared in 32.6% of the 43 drawings where {3-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has played 6.19% of the time when looking at all 226 drawings. Prior to Saturday, this General Order played in the September 23, 2017 drawing.

Now with four appearances, the 0 1 3 0 1 1 Specific Order has played in 28.6% of the 14 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General Order appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 9.30% of the 43 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} pattern appeared. Finally, when looking at all 226 Powerball drawings, the 0 1 3 0 1 1 Specific Order has played 1.77% of the time. We last saw this Specific Order in the May 24, 2017 drawing.

Similar Spread

It just so happens that Powerball also saw a similar spread. The spread was shared with the numbers in the February 18, 2017 drawing. That night, the winning numbers were 3, 7, 9, 31, 33, and PB 20. The spread was 04:02:22:02. The spread for Saturday’s numbers was 02:02:04:22. Remember that with similar spreads, the numbers in the spreads are the same, but their orders are different.

Three-Number Combination(s)

There was also one lone repeating Three-Number Combination: 32, 36, and 58.

Not even six months and it shows up again. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

It wasn’t that long ago that this Combination made its debut. More specifically, it was the June 24, 2017 drawing.

Will either Pattern make an encore presentation in Wednesday’s drawing? Will there be more similar spreads?

Oh Snap! {3-1-1-1} Did it Again!

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern is normally a quiet, unassuming Pattern. It doesn’t go around establishing streaks like {2-1-1-1-1}. Apparently, the urge to create a Pattern streak was overwhelming, because the {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its third consecutive appearance in the October 6, 2017 drawing. This Pattern packed a punch. See, the three-peat wasn’t the only big thing of the evening.

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-1-1-1} Pattern made its 70th appearance with winning numbers 21, 33, 36, 45, 56, and MB 12.

This Pattern has played in 16.9% of the 414 Mega Millions drawings.

With 21 appearances, the [1-3-1-1] General Order has now played in 30% of the 70 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in 5.07% of all 414 drawings. We can safely say that the [1-3-1-1] General Order’s appearance was an encore. It played alongside the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in this past Tuesday’s drawing.

Now with eight appearances, the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 38.1% of the 21 drawings where the [1-3-1-1] General order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 11.4% of the 70 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.93% of all 414 drawings. Unlike the [1-3-1-1] General Order, this Specific Order did not make an encore. The last time we saw the 0 1 3 1 0 1 Specific Order was in the May 12, 2017 drawing.

Similar Spread

The Mega Millions analyst informed me that there was a similar spread. The spread of the evening was 12:03:09:11. If we look at the April 17th, 2015 drawing, the winning numbers were 15, 18, 29, 41, 50, and MB 5, and the spread was 03:11:12:09. As is the case with similar spreads, the spreads may be the same, but the numbers played and the orders in which the spreads occur are different. This information will be passed on to our webmaster, and the Mega Millions site will be updated accordingly.

Three-Number Combination(s)

To add onto the momentum, there were two repeating Three-Number Combinations:

  • 33, 36, 45 (Debuted May 3, 2016)
  • 21, 56, MB 12 (Debuted October 17, 2014)

Are Pattern streaks the new face of the {3-1-1-1} Pattern, or will it disappear in Tuesday’s drawing?

Going Their Separate Ways

Saturday night saw the split-up of Lotto Texas’s {3-2-1} Pattern and Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. In our last Lotto Texas/Powerball post, we were wondering if these Patterns were going to continue to stick together.  The {3-2-1} Pattern didn’t make an appearance Saturday night. Instead, one of the least commonly seen Lotto Texas Patterns played in its stead. Accompanying this Pattern was a similar spread and a repeating Four-Number Combination. Powerball continued onward with its {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak, the Pattern now having made its fifth consecutive appearance.

Lotto Texas

The August 5th drawing saw winning numbers 7, 26, 27, 29, 35, and 36, bringing the number of appearances for the {5-1} Pattern to 53.

This Pattern has played in 3.61% of the 1470 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen in the July 19th, 2017 drawing.

Making its 14th appearance, the 1 5 0 Specific Order has played in 26.4% of the 53 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.95% of all 1470 drawings. Prior to Saturday, this Specific Order was last seen over a year ago. More specifically, the March 23rd, 2016 drawing.

The similar spread was shared with the winning numbers of the November 29th, 2006 drawing. That night saw winning numbers 25, 44, 46, 47, 48, and 54, creating a spread of 19:02:01:01:06. The spread for Saturday night’s numbers was 19:01:02:06:01. Note that the order of the spreads is different, even though the difference between numbers in both drawings is the same.

The repeating Four-Number Combination of the evening was 26, 27, 29, and 35, which made its debut in the March 14th, 2007 drawing.

Powerball

With 72 appearances, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern remains second-to-none in Powerball. The fifth consecutive appearance of this Pattern was thanks to winning numbers 11, 21, 28, 33, 45, and PB 11.

This Pattern has now played in 37.5% of the 192 Powerball drawings.

With 19 appearances, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has played in 26.4% of the 72 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in approximately 9.90% of all 192 drawings, and was last seen in the July 26th drawing about a week-and-a-half ago.

Making its third appearance, the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 15.8% of the 19 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, and in roughly 4.17% of the 72 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 1.56% of all 192 drawings, and was last seen in the November 9th, 2016 drawing.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern decided to go it alone, as there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will the {5-1} Pattern make an encore appearance in Wednesday’s drawing? Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern go for a sixth consecutive appearance in Powerball?

Spreading the (Numbers) Love

Mother’s Day is that special day when mothers are cherished and remembered. Cards, gifts, and special meals are just some of the ways we celebrate. Lotto Texas and Powerball decided to spread the love on May 13, 2017 with encore appearances of Wednesday’s Patterns for both lotteries. Any commonalities between them end at this point, for Lotto Texas had most of the action. A repeating Four-Number Combination made its round, and something was spreading.

Lotto Texas

The {4-2} Pattern made an encore, with winning numbers 12, 17, 24, 25, 27, and 28.

Now with 164 appearances, this Pattern has played in 11.3% of the 1446 Lotto Texas drawings.

The Specific Order of the evening was 2 4 0, making its 28th appearance. This Specific Order has now played in 17.1% of the 164 drawings where the {4-2} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.94% of the 1446 drawings. Prior to Saturday, the 2 4 0 Specific Order was last seen three months ago, in the February 4, 2017 drawing.

Now, this encore of the {4-2} Pattern was a bit different than others. See, there was a similar spread of 07:05:01:01:02 that came with the July 30, 2016 drawing. The winning numbers were 1, 8, 13, 14, 15, and 17. Given Saturday night’s numbers, the spread was 05:07:01:02:01. The thing about similar spreads is that even though the differences between numbers in the drawings were the same, the orders were different.

There’s one more thing to discuss, and that’s the repeating Four-Number Combination! The Combination consisting of 17, 14, 25, and 28 made its debut over nine years ago in the November 7, 2007 drawing.

Powerball

As mentioned earlier, Powerball also saw the Pattern from Wednesday night make an encore. The 52nd appearance of the {2-2-1-1} Pattern was marked by winning numbers 17, 20, 32, 63, 68, and PB 19.

This Pattern has now played in approximately 31% of all 168 Powerball drawings.

The [2-1-2-1] General Order made its 16th appearance, and has now played in 30.8% of the 52 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 9.52% of all drawings. This General Order was last seen in the May 3rd drawing just a couple of weeks ago.

Making its second appearance, the 0 2 1 0 2 1 Specific Order has now played in 12.5% of the 16 drawings where the [2-1-2-1] General Order has appeared. This becomes 3.85% when looking at the 52 drawings where the {2-2-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and 1.19% when looking at all 168 drawings. The 0 2 1 0 2 1 Specific Order made its debut early last year in the February 3, 2016 drawing.

Looking to the week ahead, will there be more similar spreads? Will there be a three-peat in either Lotto Texas or Powerball?
