Lotto Texas and Powerball’s Attention-Grabbing Patterns

The biggest story of Lottery Binge this summer has been Mega Millions. This lottery’s grand prize has soared into the stratosphere and is close to half a billion, yes billion dollars! Even though Mega Millions has had the lion’s share of buzzworthy news, Lotto Texas and Powerball are not down for the count. After July 21st, Powerball is feeling the urge to rise, and its jackpot is now $147 million. Lotto Texas isn’t likely to see a prize that large anytime soon ($12.25 million ain’t too shabby), but it had its own way of generating buzz—throwing a rarely-played Pattern into the ring.

With winning numbers 4, 6, 9, 14, 15, and 45, the uncommon {5-1} Pattern made its 57th appearance.

Of the 1570 Lotto Texas drawings to date, this Pattern has played 3.63% of the time and was last seen on June 16th, 2018.

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Powerball went the opposite direction of Lotto Texas. Instead of playing an uncommon Pattern, the most common Pattern appeared. The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made its 103rd appearance with winning numbers 9, 23, 56, 58, 68, and PB 1.

Given that there have been 292 Powerball drawings, this Pattern has played 35.3% of the time. This Pattern was last seen in the July 14th, 2018 drawing.

With 30 appearances, the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has now played in 29.1% of the 103 drawings where {2-1-1-1-1} was the winning Pattern. This General Order has also played in 10.3% of all 292 drawings and was last seen on June 27th, 2018.

The 1 1 0 1 2 1 Specific Order previously played on August 16th, 2017.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Repeating Three-Number Combinations were absent this time.

As July starts to wind down, will the jackpots for Lotto Texas and Powerball continue to rise? Will either the {5-1} Pattern or {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern see an encore Wednesday night?

Mid-Month Breather with a Side of Uncommon Patterns

Lotto Texas and Powerball followed Mega Millions’s lead on June 16th. They took a break. This break, along with rising jackpots ($7.25 million for Lotto Texas and $151 million in Powerball), is like watching an engaging drama. The real start of summer is June 20th (or 21st), and all the biggest plays don’t—can’t—happen just yet. Give too much away, and people will tune out. Suspense must also be built, and at the same time, there should be breather periods where the audience can catch their breath.

Will either of these uncommon Patterns make an encore in Wednesday’s drawing?

The Great Lottery Gifting

First, we’d like to wish our readers a Merry Christmas! December 23rd was a busy night. Whether it was wrapping up last-minute shopping, or partaking in Festivus activities in the “real world”, Lotto Texas and Powerball had something for everyone. Who could say “No” to Pattern encores, rare Patterns, and repeating Combinations, of both the Four-Number and Three-Number kind?

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

Out of the 1510 drawings, this Pattern has played in 3.64% of them, and was last seen in the November 18, 2017 drawing.

Now with 15 appearances, the 1 5 0 Specific Order has played in 27.3% of the 55 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 0.99% of all 1510 drawings. Prior to Saturday, the 1 5 0 Specific Order was last seen in the August 5, 2017 drawing.

Four-Number Combination(s)

What makes looking at the repeating Four-Number Combinations fun is finding the ones that made their debuts in the last decade. Here were two of them:

  • 22, 29, 34, 36 (Debuted August 15, 2001)
  • 8, 22, 23, 29 (Debuted March 12, 2008)

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

Like the {3-1-1-1} Pattern in “sister” lottery Mega Millions, Powerball’s {3-1-1-1} Pattern got a bit of that “Encore Fever”. This time, the winning numbers were 1, 3, 13, 15, 44, and PB 25, bringing the number of appearances to 45.

Pattern encores are a thing this week. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

Given that there have been 232 Powerball drawings to date, this Pattern has played 19.4% of the time.

The [3-1-1-1] General Order made its 11th appearance Saturday night. With that said, it has now played in 24.4% of the 45 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. When taking all 232 drawings into account, this General Order has played 4.74% of the time. We last saw the [3-1-1-1] General Order in the October 11, 2017 drawing.

Now with two appearances, the 3 1 0 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 18.2% of the eleven drawings where the [3-1-1-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has now played in 4.44% of the 45 drawings where the {3-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.86% of all 232 drawings. The 3 1 0 1 0 1 Specific Order made its debut in the January 11, 2017 drawing.

Here’s something that will add some more spice to your wassail: Pay close attention to the numbers that played that evening. The winning numbers in that drawing were very close to the winning numbers that played Saturday. They were 1, 3, 13, 16, 43, and PB 24. It’s part of the very reason why Lottery Trend exists!

Three-Number Combination(s)

To add to the bounty of gifts, there was a Three-Number Combination that played three times! That Combination was 1, 3, 13. It made its debut in the same January 11th drawing we just talked about, and it was last seen in the October 11, 2017 drawing.

Now we come to the real home stretch. Next week is the last week of 2017. Can Lotto Texas and Powerball top Saturday night’s results?

Rare Patterns, Not Rare Turkey

With a few more days to go before Thanksgiving, November 18th got into the business of Patterns. Rare Patterns. Both Lotto Texas and Powerball got together and served up the treats for rare Pattern lovers everywhere. Once more, it appeared that Lotto Texas had most of the fun. But, Powerball couldn’t be counted out completely.

Lotto Texas

General Lottery Analysis

With winning numbers 1, 4, 5, 8, 12, and 26, the {5-1} Pattern made its 54th appearance.

Six numbers and a rare Pattern. Source: lotterytrend.com.

The appearance of this Pattern is a double whammy, it being a rare Pattern for one. The other being that Saturday night’s drawing was the 1500th drawing with numbers 1-54. With that said, the {5-1} Pattern has played a whopping 3.6% of the time. Believe it or not, it wasn’t that long ago that this Pattern was last seen. It made an appearance in the August 5th, 2017 drawing.

Now with eight appearances, the 5 1 0 Specific Order has played in 14.8% of the 54 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has played. This Specific Order has also played in 0.53% of all 1500 drawings, and previously played in the March 25th, 2015 drawing.

Four-Number Combination(s)

It wasn’t enough for a rare Pattern to show itself. There had to be a repeating Four-Number Combination, too! The Combination of the evening was 1, 8, 12, 26, and it made its debut in the July 2nd, 2016 drawing.

And out of those six numbers came a repeating Four-Number Combination. Source: lotterytrend.com.

What was Powerball’s rare Pattern?

Powerball

General Lottery Analysis

The {3-2-1} Pattern may reign supreme in Lotto Texas, but that’s certainly not the case in Powerball. Here, the {3-2-1} Pattern made its twelfth appearance, with winning numbers 17, 28, 31, 32, 39, and PB 26.

{3-2-1} in Powerball is a rare sight. Source: lotterytrend-powerball.com.

This Pattern has played in the 222 Powerball drawings to date, and previously played in the October 4th, 2017 drawing.

That was also the last time we saw the [2-3-1] General Order. Now with 10 appearances, this General Order has played in roughly 83.3% of the 12 drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared. It has also played in 4.50% of all 222 drawings.

Now with its third appearance, the 0 2 3 0 0 1 Specific Order has played in 30% of the ten drawings where the [2-3-1] General Order has appeared. It has also played in 25% of the twelve drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.35% of all 222 drawings. Prior to Saturday night, this Specific Order was last seen in the January 4th, 2017 drawing.

Three-Number Combination(s)

Even with a rare Pattern, there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will there be Pattern encores in Wednesday’s drawing?

Going Their Separate Ways

Saturday night saw the split-up of Lotto Texas’s {3-2-1} Pattern and Powerball’s {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern. In our last Lotto Texas/Powerball post, we were wondering if these Patterns were going to continue to stick together.  The {3-2-1} Pattern didn’t make an appearance Saturday night. Instead, one of the least commonly seen Lotto Texas Patterns played in its stead. Accompanying this Pattern was a similar spread and a repeating Four-Number Combination. Powerball continued onward with its {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern streak, the Pattern now having made its fifth consecutive appearance.

Lotto Texas

The August 5th drawing saw winning numbers 7, 26, 27, 29, 35, and 36, bringing the number of appearances for the {5-1} Pattern to 53.

This Pattern has played in 3.61% of the 1470 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen in the July 19th, 2017 drawing.

Making its 14th appearance, the 1 5 0 Specific Order has played in 26.4% of the 53 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.95% of all 1470 drawings. Prior to Saturday, this Specific Order was last seen over a year ago. More specifically, the March 23rd, 2016 drawing.

The similar spread was shared with the winning numbers of the November 29th, 2006 drawing. That night saw winning numbers 25, 44, 46, 47, 48, and 54, creating a spread of 19:02:01:01:06. The spread for Saturday night’s numbers was 19:01:02:06:01. Note that the order of the spreads is different, even though the difference between numbers in both drawings is the same.

The repeating Four-Number Combination of the evening was 26, 27, 29, and 35, which made its debut in the March 14th, 2007 drawing.

Powerball

With 72 appearances, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern remains second-to-none in Powerball. The fifth consecutive appearance of this Pattern was thanks to winning numbers 11, 21, 28, 33, 45, and PB 11.

This Pattern has now played in 37.5% of the 192 Powerball drawings.

With 19 appearances, the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has played in 26.4% of the 72 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This General Order has also played in approximately 9.90% of all 192 drawings, and was last seen in the July 26th drawing about a week-and-a-half ago.

Making its third appearance, the 1 2 1 1 0 1 Specific Order has played in 15.8% of the 19 drawings where the [1-2-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, and in roughly 4.17% of the 72 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 1.56% of all 192 drawings, and was last seen in the November 9th, 2016 drawing.

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern decided to go it alone, as there were no repeating Three-Number Combinations.

Will the {5-1} Pattern make an encore appearance in Wednesday’s drawing? Will the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern go for a sixth consecutive appearance in Powerball?

Two Scoops of Rare Treats

If you like rare Patterns, then you were in for a treat Wednesday night! Both Lotto Texas and Powerball saw some of their least-commonly seen Patterns in the July 19, 2017 drawing. In addition to these rare Patterns playing, both lotteries saw Specific Orders that hadn’t played in two years, or thereabouts.

Lotto Texas

The winning numbers were 1, 3, 11, 15, 16, and 50, bringing the number of appearances of the {5-1} Pattern to 52.

This Pattern has played in 3.55% of the 1465 Lotto Texas drawings, and was last seen in the March 25, 2017 drawing.

Making its third appearance, the 5 0 1 Specific Order has played in 5.77% of the 52 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.20% of all 1465 drawings. This Specific Order previously played a little over a couple of years ago in the June 13, 2015 drawing.

Lotto Texas felt the {5-1} Pattern was enough, for there were no repeating Four-Number Combinations.

Powerball

The {3-2-1} made its eighth appearance, with winning numbers 50, 51, 59, 61, 63, and PB 4.

This Pattern has played in 4.28% of the 187 Powerball drawings, and previously played in the April 12, 2017 drawing.

With six appearances, the [2-3-1] General Order has played in 75% of the eight drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 3.21% of all 187 drawings. This General Order played alongside the {3-2-1} Pattern in the April 12, 2017 drawing.

Now with two appearances, the 0 0 0 2 3 1 Specific Order has played in approximately 33.3% of the six drawings where the [2-3-1] General Order has appeared. This Specific Order has also played in 25% of the eight drawings where the {3-2-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.07% of all 187 Powerball drawings. The 0 0 0 2 3 1 Specific Order made its debut in the October 17, 2015 drawing.

There was one lone repeating Three-Number Combination, and it was 59, 63, and PB 4.

Looking ahead to Saturday, will any of these rare Patterns make an encore appearance?

Jackpot Won by Rare Pattern!

Hello, Lottery Trend fans! Once again, this is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, giving the latest lottery updates! Last night, the jackpot in Lotto Texas had been won. However, a rarely played pattern had made its appearance. And now, the details.

Lotto Texas

Last night, on March 25, 2017, the winning jackpot numbers for Lotto Texas were 21, 25, 27, 30, 36, and 48.

Believe it or not, the rarely played {5-1} Pattern won the day for Lotto Texas when it made its 51st appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 3.56% of all 1432 drawings. The {5-1} Pattern made its last appearance on February 25, 2017, exactly one month ago.

The 0 5 1 Specific Order made its 10th appearance. So far, it has occurred in 19.61% of 51 drawings related to the {5-1} Pattern and approximately 0.7% of all 1432 drawings. The 0 5 1 Specific Order last played on September 28, 2016.

The repeated Four-Number Combination comprised the numbers 25, 27, 36, and 48. The Combination made its debut on January 25, 2014.

Powerball

Last night, on March 25, 2017, the winning numbers for Powerball were 18, 31, 32, 45, 48 and PB 16.

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern made its 49th appearance and, currently, has appeared in 31.82% of all 154 drawings.  The pattern last played on March 22, 2017.

The [1-2-2-1] General Order made its 17th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 34.69% of 49 drawings related to the {2-2-1-1} Pattern and approximately 11% of all 154 drawings. The [1-2-2-1] General Order last appeared on March 15, 2017.

The 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order made its 5th appearance. Currently, it has appeared in 29.41% of 17 drawings related to the [1-2-2-1] General Order, 10.2% of 49 drawings related to the {2-2-1-1} Pattern, and 3.25% of all 154 drawings. Like the [1-2-2-1] General Order, the 0 1 2 2 0 1 Specific Order last appeared on March 15, 2017.

There were no repeats in Three-Number Combinations.

Wasn’t that a big surprise? The Texas Lotto Jackpot was won thanks to the rarely played {5-1} Pattern. Stay tuned for more surprises! This is guest blogger, Romulun Harris, signing off.

Served Up Rare

Unlike what we saw in our last Lotto Texas/Powerball post, the February 25th drawing didn’t provide us with Australia Plays or repeating Four-Number (Lotto Texas) or Three-Number (Powerball) Combinations. However, Saturday night was far from “ordinary”. A rarely-seen Pattern made an appearance in Lotto Texas and the Specific Order in Powerball made its second-ever appearance. One noteworthy development was that the Patterns in both lotteries have now played the same number of times.

Lotto Texas

Saturday’s drawing marked the 50th appearance of the {5-1} Pattern, with winning numbers 16, 37, 42, 46, 49, and 54.

Winning Texas Lottery numbers.

While 50 seems like a high number of occurrences, keep in mind that there have now been 1424 drawings in Lotto Texas. Not only that, the {5-1} Pattern has now played in 3.51% of all drawings, and was last seen in the December 17, 2016 drawing.

Adding a bit more spice to the mix, the 1 0 5 Specific Order was also last seen in the December 17th drawing. This Specific Order has now made 10 appearances, and has played in 20% of the 50 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared, and 0.70% of all Lotto Texas drawings.

Powerball

The {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern made an encore appearance with winning numbers 6, 32, 47, 62, 65, and PB 19.

Winning Powerball numbers.

Now with 50 appearances, this Pattern has played in approximately 34.2% of the 146 Powerball drawings to date. This Pattern, if you recall, previously played in Wednesday’s drawing.

The [1-1-1-2-1] General Order made its 18th appearance, its first since the October 22, 2016 drawing. This General Order has now played in 36% of the 50 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 12.3% of all drawings.

Our coverage concludes with the second appearance of the 1 0 1 1 2 1 Specific Order. This Specific Order has now played in 11.1% of the 18 drawings where the [1-1-1-2-1] General Order has appeared, 4% of the 50 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 1.37% of all drawings. The 1 0 1 1 2 1 Specific Order made its debut in the September 3, 2016 drawing.

February ended with a bang for Lotto Texas and Powerball. Will March come in like a lion, or will things mellow out?

Break? What Break?

With a good chunk of the Northern Hemisphere in the grip of some powerfully cold air, it doesn’t look like much of a warm-up is coming anytime soon. Of course, Lotto Texas and Powerball didn’t get that message. While Mega Millions gave us a quiet start to the weekend on Friday, Saturday night’s lotteries had some noteworthy developments.

Lotto Texas

One of these developments in the December 17, 2016 Lotto Texas drawing was the appearance of the {5-1} Pattern. This rarely-seen Pattern was thanks to 16, 42, 44, 45, 49, 51.

Having now made 49 appearances, the {5-1} Pattern has played in 3.49% of the 1404 drawings to date. We last saw this Pattern in the September 28, 2016 drawing.

The 1 0 5 Specific Order made its ninth appearance, its first since the September 30th, 2015 drawing. This Specific Order has played in 18.4% of the 49 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared, and in 0.64% of all Lotto Texas drawings.

Our Lotto Texas coverage ends with a repeat appearance of the Four-Number Combination 16, 42, 44, and 51.

This Combination made its debut in the September 24, 2014 drawing.

Powerball

Powerball narrowly averted the (in)famous Pattern Tango between the {2-2-1-1} and {2-1-1-1-1} Patterns. We saw the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern make its 43rd appearance, allowing it to break the tie and hold on to its title as Most Commonly Played Pattern. The winning numbers for this occasion were 1, 8, 16, 40, 48, and PB 10.

With 43 appearance, the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern has played in 34.1% of the 126 Powerball drawings. This Pattern previously played just before (US) Thanksgiving: November 23, 2016.

Next, the [2-1-1-1-1] General Order made its seventh appearance, its first since the August 31, 2016 drawing. This General Order has played in 16.3% of the 43 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played and in 5.56% of all Powerball drawings.

Finally, the 2 1 1 1 0 1 Specific Order appeared for the second time. As of Saturday’s drawing, this Specific Order has played in 28.6% of the seven drawings where the [2-1-1-1-1] General Order has appeared, 4.65% of the 43 drawings where the {2-1-1-1-1} Pattern played, and in 1.59% of all drawings. The 2 1 1 1 0 1 Specific Order made its debut earlier this year in the January 30, 2016 drawing.

With one more week until Christmas, and two weeks left in 2016, what does the rest of the year have in store? Will Lotto Texas and Powerball end the year with a bang, or will they be mellow?

Chunks of Pumpkin in the Air

While Mega Million settles down with a pumpkin spice latte, Lotto Texas and Powerball spent the night of September 28th smashing pumpkins.

Lotto Texas saw a Pattern that doesn’t get much play, and the {2-1-1-1-1} and {2-2-1-1} Patterns are neck-and-neck once again in Powerball.

Lotto Texas

The {5-1} Pattern made its 48th appearance thanks to 21, 29, 31, 32, 36, and 48.

Winning Texas Lotto numbers. From lotterytrend.com.

With that said, there have been 1381 drawings in Lotto Texas to date, and the {5-1} Pattern has played 3.8% of the time. We last saw this Pattern in the July 27, 2016 drawing. This Pattern was actually mentioned in a post from early last week. Mary Harris, The Architect of Lottery Trend, used it in her example of how a Pattern improves the odds of winning when said Pattern plays. If you haven’t done so already, give it a read.

Moving on to the Specific Order now, we had 0 5 1 play for the 9th time. Out of the 48 drawings where the {5-1} Pattern has appeared, the 0 5 1 Specific Order has played 18.75% of the time. When we look at all 1381 drawings, this becomes 0.65% of the time. Prior to Wednesday’s drawing the 0 5 1 Specific Order played July 29, 2015. This is actually almost exactly one year prior to the previous date the {5-1} Pattern itself played.

Also making its second appearance was the Four-Number Combination 21, 31, 36, and 48.

We first saw this Combination in the November 26, 2014 drawing, right before Thanksgiving (US).

Powerball

The {2-2-1-1} Pattern just wants to be on top, it seems. Instead, it’ll have to settle for a tie with {2-1-1-1-1} for Most Commonly Played Pattern. The 37th appearance was made possible by winning numbers 30, 38, 52, 53, 62, and PB 1.
